Heidi and her family were incredibly accommodating, and suited up our family with three kayaks and sent us out into the beautiful Indian River Lagoon. Everyone was very friendly and our kayak experience was gorgeous -- we spotted every kind of bird we would think of out in the lagoon! As we came in, our daughter pooped out as she tried to paddle in, and they went out in a motorboat and towed her in! Then they gave all three girls coconut souvenirs! There are many choices for wildlife viewing and/or kayak rental in and around Cocoa Beach. However, Wildlife Watersports had excellent customer service for my teenagers. They were unable around afford a guide led fishing trip. Instead, the young clerk suggested renting fishing kayaks, and suggested a drop off site that was easily accessible for them. The boys had a great time! They caught numerous fish that they would not have had access to without the boats, and had the time of their lives! After the trip, my son left his new shoes in the kayak and it was towed to the storefront before he realized. I called the store, and they found the shoes right away. They had them waiting for us when we arrived at the store. Had a really great experience. My girlfriend and I who are frequent kayakers from Minnesota rented two kayaks for 4 hours. The guy helping us check in pointed out on google earth a few cool areas we could go explore and hidden areas we could get to and what we could expect to see. We saw a dolphin less than 15min in a bunch of cool mangrove channels through the islands horseshoe crab shells a bunch of little fish jumping out of the water and a baby dolphin on our way back. The over all experience was awesome everyone was super helpful and polite, the equipment was clean and in good condition, awesome little landing area to get in and out of the water, they have water and drinks for sale at the desk and even let us borrow there cooler while we were on the water. read more

My extended family and I visited Wildlife Watersports for a nighttime bioluminescence tour on the Banana River (I think that was the name). We were lucky and got to see glowing jellies and some of the phytoplankton bioluminescence during our trip! I appreciate how our guide and the other fellow helping that evening were flexible and allowed me to request my own kayak right when we were getting into the water. I will say - I hadn't realized we'd be kayaking 3 miles! My arms sure got a workout! We went out into the broader parts of the river and got to see a lot of shoreside fancy houses, though they weren't the main attraction. One of our first nature spots was pausing to see a special bird hanging out on a post. Next we went over to where horseshoe crabs had previously been mating. We were right by a small island at this point, and the biting bugs were awful. WEAR LOTS OF BUG SPRAY. My aunt had warned us thoroughly, but I hadn't taken her words seriously and only my legs had been doused with bug spray. I wish I'd worn it all over! Anyway, once we were away from that small island, we were away from the bugs. The next attraction was the light up jellies we found in the water. The guide had plastic jars and small nets that we got to use to catch and observe the jellies. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness behind that! Everyone who wanted one got to use the nets and jars, and some of us had a friendly competition to see who could catch the most. (I won.) Finally, we went over to a fishing area where there was an overpass. We carefully took our kayaks underneath the street where it was dark enough to see faint, white-colored bioluminescence when we moved our paddles in the water. We visited in June, right between the jelly season and the phytoplankton season, so we got to see both, but the guides said that the light the creatures gives off gets even brighter when they're in full season. Overall, my husband and I (and most of our family, I believe) had a great time! I love active and science-based field trips, so this was right up my alley. A perfect Florida Sunday Funday started at Wildlife Watersports. Don't miss out on this place! My boyfriend and I had a lovely experience renting paddleboards and enjoying the water there this past Sunday. The Saturday afternoon prior, while at Melbourne Beach soaking up the sun, we looked up paddleboard rentals in the area and chose this one because of its water access and ease of website use. We booked two boards for all day use and signed the online waivers in a matter of minutes, easy peasy, all while at the beach. We were looking forward to the next day's fun, and it turned out to be a blast! That next morning I discovered my sister's family planned to kayak and paddleboard too with their own equipment, so I called Wildlife Watersports to see if they could drop in there with us. I learned they easily could for $5 a person. This worked out exceptionally well because my two nieces had brand new boards and the water access there was incredibly easy for kids as it's a beach access right off their dock plus beach area. We all got checked in and the very kind woman working the check-in desk offered staff to help with cooler set-up on the rented boards and the non-rented kayaks and boards (we didn't need it but that was very kind) and provided her personal waterproof cell phone bag for my boyfriend to use stating a cell is needed out on the water for emergencies. We returned it when we were done. How nice of her?! The staff assisted with getting everyone's equipment in the water, secure, and helping folks get in. We had a blast exploring the river and the mangroves. We saw two young dolphins up close snacking on bait fish, and one ended up putting on a little show, as my niece described it, flipping the fish up in the air to chomp on. We saw beautiful birds and scenery. It was super fun exploring the mangroves because the many small waterways leading into them open up into a large, what feels like a "secret" waterway, about 1-2ft deep and really gorgeous. You could easily get on/off your board or kayak and walk around in the water. You could get lost in there, so just pay attention to where you enter/exit. It was really cool back in there! When we returned, staff immediately helped with getting us out of the water and our equipment, even the kayaks and boards that weren't their's they carried and washed off for us. We also saw them seriously disinfecting their rentals between use, which is very important with covid right now. The location currently has a closed pool because of covid, a nice little beach for family and friends to relax on if they don't want to be in the water, and they said they're hoping to build more services in the future to make the location a destination spot for food, drinks, and fun. They also have very nice new rentals from kayaks with actual supportive seats, newer paddleboards, bike kayaks, little motor boats that are nicer than others I've seen, and two new super duper nice pontoon boats. I will definitely be going back! Another benefit of the area: after you enjoy the adventure, drive 3min. away to the Hilton to have excellent lunch and drinks at a big outdoor tiki restaurant or on the beach at Longboard's. If you pay more than $35 at the restaurant, bring your receipt to the parking person to receive your $20 cash for parking reimbursed to you (must have cash to park). We discovered this that day and it made for a perfect Florida Sunday Funday! Restaurant staff all wore masks and tables were distanced all outside. Drinks were delicious and they have another smaller tiki bar right on the dock going out to the beach. We felt completely comfortable and safe in the open air environment. After that, we visited the Florida Key Lime Pie Shop for the best key lime pie we have ever had and delicious wine tastings. We had a stellar time, so thank you Wildlife Watersports for being awesome!!! read more

The pontoon experience was fine and their business front was fine but the employees were rude and inconsiderate, specifically the older woman working inside the check-in building. When we returned from our boating trip, we were told nicely by one of the employees that at the end of the drive we were not in the channel marker and that is unsafe, we apologized and continued on. Then this rude woman from inside started yelling at us as a group saying "we are going to get their company in trouble" and continued to lecture us for a minute. I apologized, again, and explained we are not from the area and we are paying customers which should not be talked to like this. Anyways, I would not recommend this business to anyone at all simply because of the employees. read more

Discovered this place online while on vacation in the area and decided to do the 4 hour pontoon boat rental. When we got there, we were greeted by a super helpful lady named Kathy, who gave us lots of info for our excursion. Dave was awesome and extremely helpful in teaching us how to operate the boat (since neither of us have ever driven a boat) and gave us tips on where to go and what to see. We were able to get up close to several dolphin pods which was amazing. We didn't see any manatees but watch your speed because they're there! Don't worry if you don't have experience, just follow the instructions and don't go too fast, you'll be fine. 4 hours is just the right amount of time! It's so peaceful. The property is really beautiful and clean. Definitely recommend. I hope to go again someday! read more

My husband and I vacationed for a few days in Cocoa Beach last month and hit a day where it was supposed to rain all afternoon. Rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours to do something different for a Saturday. We had no idea what a treat this day would turn out to be! We were greeted warmly into a clean office, and offered a quick stop into a clean restroom. As we walked to the boat, they pointed out the recently-serviced pool, and sand area which had cornhole and a fantastic view of the Banana River. The boat was immaculate and well-maintained. After a briefing on safety and suggestions on where to go, our adventure started. We saw several dolphin and caught/released no less than 20 fish along the mangroves. We anchored for lunch along a sand bar and relaxed until it was time to head back. Upon return, the attendant received us at the dock and we jumped in the pool, which was the perfect temperature. Our boys then fished a little more, while our girls played a game of cornhole. It was such an oasis, we could have easily stayed for several more hours if we didn't need to get back home to St Cloud. We will be back to rent kayaks or paddle boards, and just to hang out with friendly people and listen to the island music. What a disappointment! My mother & I were looking forward to the bioluminescence tour for the longest time. We booked the bioluminescence Craig Cat tour and were never told that it was NOT SEASON. Wow this place is a perfect spot- we stayed in cocoa beach last week and the hotel pool got so gross from the ocean seaweed and swimmers! So we ventured here and rented kayaks for 4 hours- Don and Dave hooked us up with everything we needed- although the wind caused us to return a bit early they offered us paddle boards to try- my 13 ur old and I loved it and tried them out After getting tired and needing a break we say at their pool which was super clean and they could t be more nice to let us stay for most of Day to enjoy the pool And waterfront!! My granddaughter and I rented paddleboards this morning. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I wasn't able to stand on the board due to a knee injury I have. They gave me a kayak paddle to use to make it easier for me since I can't bend my knee all the way to sit on the board criss cross or kneel. It was a great day. We was dolphins up close. read more

I want to start by saying I love this place. I have a membership here and the people here are awesome. However, today was a huge FAIL! Weeks ago, we had rented a boat for today for our best friends son's graduation. He flew in from Michigan for this. Not only did our friends call multiple times to confirm, we also went in person to confirm. We were all told our pontoon reservation was confirmed! We went to check in for our 11:45 boat rental and there were no boats. They rented all the boats and when we asked about our reservation, the employee working there said they crossed off our name hours before our reservation because there was no phone number written beside it. Really? Very disappointing. It was a gorgeous day today. We bought food and drinks and had friends drive from Winter Haven & Orlando to join us! We would have had a great time. Now everyone is angry and disappointed. read more

Went to Wildlife Watersport after my kayak excursion booked on NCL's Norwegian Gem got cancelled. Much happier the excursion got cancelled as it was about $60+ dollars per person and the actual time in the water was only going to be an hour (so I was told on the ship) and we would have had to follow the tour while on the water. Wildlife has single kayaks ($35 for four hours), double kayaks ($45 for four hours), Craig Cats (motorized boat)($99 for two hours), and paddle boards ($35 for four hours) available for rent. You get to use them at your liking on a fairly private lake. We rented two double kayaks and a Craig Cat for my family of six. Michael was helping us on and off the equipment as my family switched between kayak and Craig Cat. He was fantastic at showing us all how to use everything and super friendly. We saw manatee in the water right next to us. Make sure you book the Cocoa Beach with Cocoa Village transfer if you are going from the cruise. The Cocoa Beach only transfer will not take you to the Watersport area. read more

Had an amazing day thanks to these guys! Rented a kayak for 4 hours. It was more than enough time to go out into the islands and wild areas of the lagoon. There were fish jumping out of the water, pelicans diving for food, birds carrying caught fish back to their nests. The best part: dolphins! As the sun was setting, there were a pod of 4 dolphins playing among the houses to the northwest point. Got lots of great videos and pictures. At one point, we were even able to get within about 20 feet of them as they jumped out of the water. It was a really great time. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I really appreciated how the gentleman on the waterside had an extra dry bag for my phone. Without it, we wouldn't have been able to capture the adventures with the dolphins! read more

Since they are in an aquatic lagoon preserve jet skis are not allowed . So we rented a CraigCat. It's like two surf boards strapped together with a trolling motor in between. Comfy seats and a Bimini top. What a great, relaxing time. Several dolphin sightings. Up close and jumping in the water. Turtles and lots of bird sightings galore. The canal homes were fascinating. Water Dave and Chuck were incredibly gracious and informative. They gave us all the information and advice to have a great trip. We had such a great day we decided to book a pontoon boat to take guests out over the weekend. Every stay in Cocoa Beach should include a trip with Wildlife Watersports! read more

Visiting Florida from Hawaii, and I don't think there's a single place that compares to the experience here. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the waters are as warm as bathwater, and the location is close to islands of mangroves you can explore on your paddle board or kayak. Although rain started coming in, the staff made sure that everyone was still safe. Don was amazing and made sure everyone was okay, and safely rounded everyone up on his boat. 10/10 would recommend, amazing experience, and great stories to tell! read more
