Warmly welcomed by the support team, Amy took charge in listening to our wishes/needs, partnering us with Doula Jenessa for a consult at our home to see if it would be a good fit. Jenessa was incredible from the moment she stepped into our home, easing our anxieties and concerns with her calming/genuinely warm personality. We worked with her, scheduling manager Amy, and accounting manager Julia, to structure 10 weeks of services 2x week, extending multiple times until our LO could sleep through the night. Being first time parents, the amount of knowledge learned from Jenessa was extensive and we credit her, Amy, and the B.B. team for giving us such a great start. Highly recommend - worth every penny.

After seeing so many great reviews and recommendations for Buddha Bellies, we booked the birth and postpartum doula services and honestly couldn't be happier. You get a pair of birth doulas to ensure one is available for when you give birth. Both were knowledgeable, friendly, and super supportive throughout my pregnancy. After an initial zoom call to get to know each other, we had a group text chat to check in and answer any questions I might have. They also suggested things to bring to the hospital, like an essential oil diffuser that really helped me and the nurses loved. My on-call doula on the day my son was born was Susan, and she was a lifesaver!! She arrived at the hospital promptly (despite living an hour away) and helped keep my husband and I calm. My husband had to leave for an hour to bring our dog to his boarding location, and so I was so grateful I had Susan with me during that time. I tried to give birth without an epidural, and her magical massages literally saved me and brought me to 6cm dilated. At that time, I decided I definitely did want/need an epidural, and she was very supportive of my wishes. She honestly felt like she became family that day and was so dedicated to my comfort. I can't imagine having done this without her. We're now onto the postpartum doula phase, and while we just started with our overnight care, we are SO glad that we made the decision to have a postpartum doula (kind of like a night nurse in this scenario). So far, it has been absolutely wonderful--the doula is very caring and loving to my baby boy and gives me a few extra hours of sleep each night, which is invaluable. As newbie parents, she offers advice and reassurance that things (like infant gas!) are normal. We are able to sleep soundly knowing that our son is safe with her in the other room! The Buddha Bellies support staff have also been excellent. It was very easy to be matched with and interview doulas--we hired ours on the very first try, as they were all of amazing quality, friendly, and with great experience/reviews. We cannot recommend them more!

We had an unusually fast pre-birth experience which through us into a frenzy of all sorts. Diana was there for us when we really needed a calming presence, rational guidance, and an advocate. If that wasn't enough, she is also an amazing photographer and was able to collect images and videos that captured so many details we wouldn't otherwise have had. She was also extremely helpful with postpartum guidance and encouraged us to focus on the important things, while letting us know that most of what we were experiencing was completely normal. A comforting notion when you're feeling overwhelmed with the anticipated, yet impossible to know until you're there, responsibilities of being a first time parent. This was my 3rd child and yet the stress and anxiety that comes over and impending labor and delivery was still there but she helped me talk through the process and talk through what I liked and disliked about my previous births and what I wanted most for this upcoming birth. She had really good questions to help me think and she really helped me go through all of the details of what I hoped for with my birth plan and so she helped me feel more calm than I would have been and it was so so incredibly helpful. When the day of the actual labor came she came in and her presence was so calm and uplifting and excited that I couldn't help but feel more excited and calm myself. As the labor progressed she had really good tips on helping me work through the pain to try to achieve the type of birth that I wanted and she was able to I direct my husband as well to be able to help. I would definitely go with Katrina again because she was just so helpful and kind and happy about everything that I was going through. The office was not very up to date and one needs to some tests in other lab facilities. When it was time for my delivery, the midwives who work there, or at least the one who was on call night, I thought I was going I to delivery.. was busy with another delivery and didn't have time to place attention on me. No one came to assist her, and she must have felt exhausted with work that evening. It was clear in the way she responded to my concerns. They sent me to the hospital who didn't receive correct information from them and I had horrible horrible experience. The nurse on hospital broke my water without my consent and they ended up putting me in emergency c section. My worst fears. The birth place did not show any concern, did nor assist while I was there, only they made a phone call to ask questions but not to assist my situation. I felt deserted. The famous midwife whose name is associated with center is no where to be found most of the time, she is busy at seminars and events. I shared my experience with other natural birth moms in the area, and they were horrified at the attention I received. There are much better centers in central Florida. Do yourself a favor and don't take a chance here. From experience, I can say this place doesn't have the care when there is more than one mom who is going into labor. They threw me to the wolves and simply tried to protect themselves.

I knew the whole staff on a first name basis (it was nice not to feel like she was some superior being, but instead a woman who delivered children) and they were all beyond friendly and genuinely cared about my pregnancy and my baby. Their staff has gone above and beyond the call of duty and it's a really refreshing thing to see.

I started calling home birth midwives for doula referrals, and I was so lucky to connect with Charlie. She truly brought a piece of the home birth experience into the hospital room. Charlie was a fierce advocate, not only for me, but also an incredible source of support for my husband. She brought a sense of peace and calm to what felt like a very unknown and overwhelming situation. I felt completely safe with her by my side. Charlie helped us talk through every decision, making sure we felt informed and confident in our choices. Her support didn't end after the birth either, she consistently checked in postpartum and continued to care for our whole family. I truly can't recommend Charlie enough. She is an amazing, steady, and calming presence. Whether you're planning a home birth or just looking for strong, compassionate birth support, you are in the very best hands with Charlie. Her care extends beyond just mom, she supports the entire family.

I informed them I would be transferring care at 32 weeks. I told the owner that I would pay for any prenatal appointments I went to, but she made a bill with fees I was not aware of. My invoice was the exact amount I prepaid which is very suspicious. The invoice even said my $500 deposit was a charge for some reason instead of applied to my balance like the contract states. The invoice seemed to be made in a rush and its purpose to zero out my account so they could keep my money. I will add my entire experience after court. In the meantime, if you choose this midwifery, ask them to outline their fees and what you owe after every appointment to avoid this. Overall disappointed with Charlie's (owner) handling of this issue.
