The Inn was built in 1909 by Thomas Edison. Yes that Thomas Edison, the one who invented the lightbulb. The Inn has so much character it's pure eye candy for those who appreciate the fine craftsmanship of classic furniture, decor and interior design. We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson room, the biggest room with a king size bed and infamously know to have housed Joe DiMaggio and Marylyn Monroe back in the day. The owners were super accommodating and Dave cooked us one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Highly recommended!

There are always coffee and tea and cookies available in the dining room. The breakfast was very nice. We had french toast with baked pears and sausage. I will definitely stay here again if I need to be in this area.

You're also greeted by Jeanette's freshly baked goods of the day in the kitchen. I loved that the B&B was close to other Bethel restaurants and attractions. During our few days in town, we ate at 3/4 places that John recommended and even attended the Bethel Harvestfest and Chowdah Cookoff. Even though we had a car, we enjoyed walking, so we strolled past Gould Academy which had some nice views. I'd definitely recommend this B&B if you want a quiet and cozy place to stay for a few nights. It's really raised the bar for future B&Bs! Hopefully we'll be back one day.
