I do not recommend anyone do business with this company. In short, this was the worst, most unprofessional, exhausting experience I have ever had with a company. Communication was beyond poor, and my experience with Marcus was unprofessional and disrespectful. He quoted me four days, which turned into over three weeks. This was due to negligence. I was looking forward to getting my turbo replaced on my Ford F250. I contacted Deer Park Diesel prior, and from the conversation, they were excited to do the job. I was told by Marcus that I would receive picture updates and phone calls regarding progress. I was pitched an excellent experience. Only for nothing to be done as advertised. I was very excited, as this is something I've wanted to do for a few years. I was quoted around $1600 for labor, around $7000 total, and four days of work. When I dropped my truck off, I thought things were set. After three days, I hadn't heard from the company. I called multiple times with no reply. I found out the day before I was supposed to pick up that the parts were not there, but they had already taken the truck apart. Who in their right mind takes apart a vehicle without the parts in the shop? Once the parts did arrive, not everything was there. Shipping caused further delays. I called and texted multiple times, I received either no reply or a reply minutes before they closed. The day comes to pick up the truck, three weeks later, and I am told I own an additional $900 for labor. I had already paid in full. At this point, I feel screwed over and taken advantage of. When I expressed my concerns and poor experience, Marcus, with a smirk on his face said, "I did everything I could". No, Marcus, you did not. You should have called me the day I was supposed to drop the truck off and let me know the parts were not there. The team should have checked the parts before attempting to install them. You should have never allowed a vehicle to be taken apart without parts in hand. You should have communicated with me at the bare minimum. I do not have an extra vehicle and was out of a vehicle for three weeks due to negligence. I had to reschedule with a tuning company multiple times, and in the end, told them I had no idea when I would have my truck back. I was never expecting a discount, but being told I own more money felt like a slap in the face. I don't feel confident in the work that they did, they produced nothing but doubts and poor service. I don't want Deer Park Diesel to "talk it through at our next team meeting". I want them to make it right, I want them to correct their obvious negligence. They made multiple mistakes, and they need to take accountability. Marcus blamed the three-week job on the turbo company and shipping delays. He told me that he didn't have all the right parts and that he couldn't get a hold of the turbo company. I called them myself, I was able to speak to someone right away, why couldn't he? Did he lie to me, because he hadn't tried yet? Before dropping my truck off, I paid for the parts. Why were they not ordered before I dropped off my truck, were you hoping the turbo fairy would drop them off after my truck was taken apart? Why didn't you offer to have my truck put back together when you couldn't get the parts? Why didn't you do anything to make this less of a terrible experience? read more

Initially spent over 6k to get my fuel injectors replaced. Since then I have had to go back and spend an additional 5k with a different shop. Deer Park does not stand by their work at all. 300 miles after an engine repair job that ran over $6000.00 , my truck blew a steady stream of oil onto the road. Towed the truck back to Deer Park Diesel to fix this problem, They fixed the issue but I was told it wasn't their work that failed. It was an oil pressure sending unit. Apparently that isn't part of the process of installing a new high pressure oil pump... During the following conversation with I assume the manager/Owner about this. I told him on day of delivery I noted the pressure gauge was not working. I asked him why the sensor wasn't checked when the gauge wasn't showing pressure. He told me that should of been seen by the tester that its the first thing they check. They would have corrected it. Well it wasn't operational when I drove it home. Did the manager check out the rig? Of course not, someone that works there did. So the manager, who didn't do the work, wasn't there during the test, basically called me a liar. I saw what I saw, it didn't work, I was there, he wasn't. After a few more words he tells me I should of called the shop when I saw it wasn't working. Yep I should of. Shop was closed when I got home, Its not a daily driver its a work truck. I didn't drive the rig again till I plowed the snow. Noted the gauge again. Shop is closed on weekends. Ok excuses are like what, Yes if I had called maybe I would of avoided the tow, But IF the mechanic had done his job and checked the sending unit and actually checked the gauges I would of missed that tow as well. Then after a few more words I get told the sensors go bad all the time, WELL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, if the professional that you pay to do a job, one you trust to have the knowledge to do the job right doesn't mention a $20 part with a history of failing often in the we recommend these actions, then how much more wasn't worth bringing up. Now I have concerns on the rest of the little parts that could result in breakdown. This part cost me over $200.00 in shop charges, and close to $300 in towing charges, and two days of down time during a job I needed the truck to do. Did the manager consider the customer invested over $6,000.00 in belief that a professional job on his truck would be done right? Did he consider that anyone spending over $6000.00 in his shop that has a breakdown 300 miles later might be upset and work with the customer? Like offer a compromise, customer pays parts shop absorbs the labor? No he simply infers the customer is a liar trying to get free work . I can't prove the mechanic didn't check the gauge. All I can be sure of is the gauge didn't work 5 mins after I left his shop. I don't lie, hence the reason for this review and a company I thought was honest has a price on that honesty..... $200.00 Seems a cheap price to sell the integrity of you company name. There are other repair shops in the area I had this experience with this shop. If you go there and something goes wrong, well you should of listened to this review. read more

Guys there are definitely enthusiasts not just trying to burn your wallet. So, recently, when I heard a noise that shouldn't be there, I knew that the only place I wanted to take the truck was Deer Park Diesel. Thankfully, they were able to get me right in and on the test drive, they evaluated the noise and my input, took the truck in the shop, and diagnosed the problem. We took our truck to them and they said we had to replace a heater that we have a receipt from them that they said they replaced in February. Now they say they didn't replace it and it will cost $1,000 to replace. How can a business run like this? They told us it was replaced and we have a receipt for it. I set an appointment for 9:00 am with a small list of tasks to complete; replace fuel filter, test intake heater, fix coolant leak, check coolant rating, check/top off fluids and grease everything. Promptly dropped the truck off at 8:55 am. Asked 3 times for a estimate on cost and time mechanic would not provide either. Showed back up at 12:30 pm and the only thing they had done was replaced the fuel filter and tested intake heater. Mechanic informed me both differential fluids and transmission fluid needed to be replaced. Proceeded to replace rear differential fluid. Mechanic told me he would put an extra guy on it since I was there waiting, like oh gee thanks I'm flattered. When they we finished I checked under front end nothing had been greased, checked under the hood and coolant was low. Asked him to finish greasing and topping coolant, took 40 minutes. Asked what the coolant rating was, said they forgot to check. Won't be going back. read more

The professionalism and customer service of this shop is outstanding. We were traveling through the area in our motorhome and had trouble with the auto breaking system. When we stopped in unannounced the shop was completely full and booked for the next couple days. The staff made adjustments to the schedule to get us in so we weren't stranded. have nothing but great things to say about my experience with the guys at this shop...I bought a truck in October 2019 from Dave Smith Motors that was supposed to be in top running condition only to have in the end lifted heads bad injectors and cracked pistons among other small things.. The guys at deer park diesel treated me with the upmost respect and compassion and care anyone could ask for in my situation. They were upfront honest and had the integrity that the dealership Dave Smith Motors failed at along with the honesty....
