I asked for Nitrogen as I don't like needles, I sat in the chair for a long time before DR. Sanchez came in. I asked why I am waiting so long. No response. He left again and I followed him. He works on a couple of patients at the same time. Finally, when he got to me, he told the nurse to put on the Nitrogen and told me open wide, and he Jammed a huge needle and hurt mw really bad. My insurance also paid them, and I was told by my insurance to only pay $105.00. I brought this to their attention and was told No Refund and want me to pay another $12.00. My bad I should have walked out but didn't want to go without teeth for 3 weeks so I paid the extra. Now the new clip is no better and when I went back today I insisted on seeing the dentist. She examed me and agreed it was loose. She said wait here and left. After 35 minutes I went looking for her and she was drilling another patient. Seeing my obvious distress, he immediately gave me four shots to get the pain under control--a wonderful start. My case was complicated. I had a single tooth with four calcified, narrowed roots that required complex root canal therapy. Dr. Jakob worked with determined, gentle precision. He has an incredible calming manner that helped me to relax. I felt like a team player working in tandem with him and his lovely assistant, Tanya. Quadrupled up on OTC pain killers, repeatedly, very little effect; I was climbing the walls for 2 days. Receptionist says Pain is OK, I hung up on her. He refused to prescribe the appropriate pain killers to get me past the second day. I explained to him that is his job, to know the possible pain level, to get out ahead of it, prescribe appropriately and judiciously. I am not a child, I can conduct myself appropriately also. He is not warm, he is cold with a facade. Bathroom is a 10 minute walk, and he does not tell you that you must spend even more money to get the cap put on the root canal. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Office looks great, staff is young and without any life experience, but nice. Chaim Jakob should not be in a position of causing that kind of pain. He does not possess the wisdom, compassion, judiciousness and savvy to inflict a root canal and cause 48 hours of hell.
