I stopped in to day to get a nice arrangement for a surprise gift. I had stopped at a place in Boca first, but wow, they only did pricey arrangements. Deerfield Florist was close and I have been there before with good results. I walked in to a busy working shop. some people were working on arrangements in the back of the brightly lit, nicely smelling shop. The gal working the front seemed like she didn't want to be there, but was nice enough. I picked out a nice arrangement pretty quick. When I brought it to the counter I noticed a couple of the roses were dying fast. She said they could replace them with new ones. That seemed extra nice of them and I was much obliged. I got one of the free cards and they let me write a little something on it. They arranged the vase inside a box with tissue paper so it wouldn't tip out and I was on my way. Everybody is quick to bash a business or complain but rarely do folks take the time to commend or celebrate good service or solid products. Anyway.... Last week, actually 8 days ago a friend was in the hospital (thankfully doing great and home now) and I decided to send flowers. A quick google search and Deerfield Florist Popped up. I liked that it was local and their gallery photos didn't seem like all the canned florist photos one pically sees. I called and placed florist ce type of order. I said I wanted to spend $xx and I wanted a sunflower or two in the mix. Other than that, they could do what they wanted. So my amount plus delivery and tax came out well under $100 and within two hours I got a photo from the hospital from my friend of a lovely flower arrangement. Only two hours after my call! Fast forward 8 days and I just got a text that the flowers still look fresh and beautiful. First let me say, this would have been the first time using this company. This was not a very good first impression. I will not call this company back for any future orders. I became ill a few days before mother's day. I did not want to get anyone sick, so I choose not to get together with family. I immediately went online to order flowers for my mom and I did understand that I was calling last minute, but the women I spoke with was very nice and understanding. She did not say anything to me about supply shortage or even the possibility of one. I did agree to the flexible delivery date just because of my last minute order. I placed the order on Friday May 9, 2025 and I received an email on Saturday May 10th at 4:05 p.m. letting me know that due to high demand they did not have the supply for the item I ordered and my order was canceled and will be fully refunded. I do not check my emails like I check text messages, so by the time I was aware of the order being canceled it was too late to get anything to my mom for mother's day. This is a very important day for our family because my mom is a cancer survivor and we all have a different type of celebration due to this fact. I was very unhappy with this action taken. I called and asked to speak with a manager so I could bring this situation to the attention of someone else and maybe they can use my situation as a training example. If an order is going to be canceled maybe the company should pick up phone and call the customer that was purchasing the flowers to let them know. I know things are very automated in today's world, but even send the ordering customer a text message to give them a heads up. I tried to send email to support and I received several messages that said the same exact thing in all 3 reply's. Not good customer service!!! read more

Was going to attend a friends grand opening of her new studio and I saw Deerfield Florist as I got off I-95 and quickly decided to turn in. As you walk in the florist smells so sweet from all the flowers. Wish I could package that for my living room. After looking at the pre-made arrangements I thought they were too big. So I asked if one could be made and she said yes it will take about 15 minutes. I shared with her the colors I wanted purple and blue and she smiled and asked me to have a seat. My sister is getting married in April 2020 and I have been coordinating all of the meetings with vendors to get decisions made. Everyone else has been extremely accommodating and the communication has been great. It was been the complete opposite with this company. The first time I had an appointment if it weren't me calling to confirm we would have just showed up and not know that our appointment was cancelled already! I called to confirm the appointment and that is when they decided to tell me that my appointment was cancelled the same day! I then scheduled a second appointment for the following week and now my sister and I are currently sitting outside and yet again, have been no showed. Do not order flowers from this place! I ordered flowers, chocolate, and a card (I spent about $140) on April 30th to be delivered on May 6th through this company's website. On May 6th, I decided to call the florist to see around what time the flowers would be delivered to my mother. The lady on the phone was so incredibly rude and snapped at me saying there's no set delivery times. Hours later, around 4 pm, the company actually calls my mother and tells her they are extremely busy and asks if they can deliver the flowers the following day. She agreed but then later that night around 7 JUST the flowers were delivered...no card, no chocolate. Then they came back 30 mins later with the chocolate. My mother then asked where the card was. The man said he didn't know and proceeded to call his manager on the phone. The manager asked my mother if she wanted her to read out loud what the card said or email it to her... Really? Besides the horrible service, the flowers that I ordered and the flowers that were delivered were two totally different looking bouquets. I spent good money expecting great quality flowers and customer service but what I received was FAR from that. read more

I went to a Bridal Show in Fort Lauderdale in January. I received a phone Christine about flower arrangements. It was perfect timing because I just started looking into florist. I made an appointment and met with Ken and the owner. We went over what I would like to do for my wedding. I left feeling really excited that they would do a great job. I was told that a quote would be emailed to me on Tuesday. Wednesday I emailed them to make sure they had the correct email. I received an email letting me know that they need some more time because they have been busy. I would receive the quote by Friday. Friday came and went and no quote. I called the following Friday and was told that Ken is a very lucky man because he went on vacation. That since my appointment they have 5 other customers that are looking for quotes. To please be patient and when Ken comes back from vacation she would light him up so he will get my quote to me by the next Friday. So that will make 3 weeks from my first meeting with them. I said to Christine, but its been two weeks already. She responded with"Everyone deserves a vacation" REALLY? Listen, I get it. I am not the only customer. But when your customer calls after the promised date for a quote and you tell her a few more days. ok. Then a week passes from that date and you find out that the ONLY person that does quotes went on vacation knowing he had 6 customers waiting for pricing. Where is the professionalism? How do you stay in business like that? So thanks anyways. I will find another florist that can at least give me a quote. Oh! and when I told my friends and family about my initial appointment they asked about the cost. I said I don't know, they are sending me a quote. They were shocked that I didn't leave with the price. I guess it is a normal procedure to get the quote the same day. Very disappointing. So NO I would not recommend this place. read more

My real review of Ken (and *Jeff?*) is 5 stars. I've been a good customer here. In fact I purchased an arrangement not two weeks ago for a friend's wedding shower. I specifically posted this review to catch their attention. I called at 9:01am and a lady with an accent answered. I politely asked if Ken was there as I tried to step outside my building to make this call alone regarding an arrangement I needed delivered. As I walked out, the call dropped (our service is so bad, we have an AT&T MicroCell in the building to enhance service). I decided to wait until the room I was in cleared, about 10 minutes, and I called back. Upon the same lady answering, I said "Hello, I'd like to get an arrangement together..." and said "ah...yes..*giggle*...you're that rude customer that called earlier right? The rude one that hung up on me when I say Ken not here. *giggle* "I don't know why you hang up..." I explained that I didn't hang up...I lost service when I stepped outside. I stated if I had hung up 10 minutes ago and Ken wasn't there, why would I call back just 10 minutes later?! And NOT ask for Ken again?! She said "oh, well you hung up the phone after I said Ken not here. You hung up while I was trying to tell you I could help and [Jeff] (not positive the name she said) was here too. But you hung up and did not listen to me talk..." I said again I did not hang up. I asked her did you just call me rude? Why would you call a customer who just called you to order something rude? I've been a good customer here. She said "I not say you were rude. I didn't say that." And I said YES YOU DID. She got very quiet. My wife and I were planning our wedding and was referred to Deerfield Florist for assisting we decorating our reception at a restaurant. I was referred specifically to Ken but was passed to another. My wife and I sat with her and went over exactly what we were looking for including table arrangements and table setup. The meeting went well and we left awaiting the contract estimate. Upon reviewing the cost of the items we discover the table runners were $500 for only a few tables. We decided to have that removed and I can only assume they didn't like that as that lowered the cost by 50%. Upon going to the venue on the day of the event we noticed that Deerfield Florist didn't do anything that we previously discussed and the flower bowls were completely different. We essentially paid for a few bowls of roses and nothing else. No greenery or, cake table decor. Needless to say if you aren't spending thousands, you will get little to no attention. read more

To be clear - this review is for the Deerfield location. I live in Cali and last week contacted them in a panic becz I hadn't planned for my mother-in-laws birthday. I called them at 1 PM EST and spoke with Ken. He was extremely kind, professional and helpful. He indicated (after he listened to me rant :-) ) that it might be best if I allow him to put something together taking into consideration her likes and dislikes. I told him I was looking to pay under $50 for the arrangement including delivery. He did the whole thing for a total of $47.55 and had it delivered before 6 PM. In my opinion, that's awesome! I am conflicted in regards to Deerfield Florist. I have been going to Deerfield Florist for the past three years. I have gotten to know Ken and Hilda (The actual florists) well. They are always kind, professional and very good at what they do. But the new management leaves a lot to be desired. Ever since the new management took over their work has been drastically affected. The new management seems to be spending an awful lot in making the store look better (which is great) But not as much in actually getting the florists the flowers they need. (Not to mention how previously they had Tamy who in multiple ocassions was beyond rude with me over the phone that I simply opted to go to the store instead of dealing with her. But thank God she is gone.) It's enfuriating really, because I know that the florists are very capable and creative they have made me plenty of arrangements in the past that were simply stunning. Arrangements that my wife would show off to her friends, and which would make her very happy. But ever since the new management took over, they are charging me more for the same flowers and giving me less. Truly hope that management understands that it's making loyal clients like myself feel cheated. And it's not fair on the florists either. Please stop investing in the visual aspect of the store and invest more in the flowers and tools your store needs. It's almost as if they are sometimes using the scraps of the flowers, or old flowers to make my arrangements, but they are charging me triple the price! My name is Tim Stills. I placed an order for a dozen roses for my mother the Tuesday before Mother's Day, but they were not delivered. I called on Sunday and left a message which was not returned. I called again on Monday and spoke with someone who apologized profusely who said that they were out of flowers but that an upsized order of 18 roses along with some chocolates would be delivered on Tuesday. No flowers on Tuesday. I called on Wednesday morning and was told that since their system hadn't billed my credit card, no flowers were sent. My response to that was "why didn't you call me and we could work out the billing?" to which I got no response. I wanted to update my review for this florist because if there was a way I could give them a Ten Star Review I would. My mother's 97th birthday was last week and she had flowers coming. Her family all live great distances out of town. Tami took my order. Mom fell and broke her hip later the same day I ordered her birthday flowers. Sadly, I realized mom wouldn't be home for her birthday but if we were blessed and she survived, she would be in the hospital. Tami found out before I got my message to her, told me the hospital name and room Mom was in, got flowers that were ordered PLUS cheerful get well and birthday balloons to her, and amazingly a little birthday cake to Mom also! Mom is STILL enjoying the flowers they made for her! Bless these good people that understand the hardships people have when loved ones live so far away, and go above the call of duty sending love to them in their floral arrangements.
