Cheerful people in the early morn can be rare. Even more rare when they are just starting work. The other day I had a bit of inspiration to get some flowers. I didn't time it well. I was in East Pompano and I noted Grace Flowers. But they weren't supposed to be open for another 20+ minutes. I chanced it and stopped in anyhow. The door was open, and I pushed in. a gal was right there and just said Hello and gave a kind smile. Well I guess they are open early I thought. I looked at the different flowers and couldn't decide right away. On a table near the front there was a plant with a flush of violet flowers on it. I knew I had found the right thing but I was a little worried it might be some crazy price(it was my first time in Grace's). "10 dollars I think" the gal said. She called to back to confirm with someone there. Sure enough the perfect gift was just 10 bucks. I rung up and was out of there before they were to have officially opened even. I had an unexpected funeral to attend and chose Grace Flowers to make my arrangement for the mass. I love sending beautiful bouquets and picked the Divine Peace Bouquet! Its all white flowers, roses and carnations with a huge chrome cross in the center! I liked that arrangement best! I will update with a photo of the actual arrangement they made but for now I will post the photo they call the divine peace bouquet so you can see what I chose. Funerals are never fun the only good thing is I get to see all my classmates from High School because it was one of my classmates that lost his mom. We were a very close class graduating. Ordering was easy and simple I made my order online to be delivered to the church before the mass. I chose Grace flowers because the shop was located in pompano close to where the church is. Over the weekend I ordered a medium sized bouquet of yellow roses to be delivered to my mom. I ordered from out of state and they called today to confirm payment. I ordered flowers for my mother for her birthday and was looking for a great florist in Fla. I've had a slew of terrible floral arrangements in Florida, so I was a bit weary. But saw this place had lovely reviews, so thought I would give it a try. Although I had a great interaction over the phone with the shop, it stopped there after these flowers were paid. My mother never received her flowers which was to be a surprise for her 61st bday. She was a bit sad and thought I didn't send her anything for her birthday (which I typically send her flowers, which are her favorite). I called the florist the next morning wondering about the delivery and all she could say was that they went there and they didn't know which apartment to deliver to. Um, shouldn't you call the person who ordered the flowers if the person receiving the flowers wasn't picking up? Her other excuse was perhaps her GPS took her to the wrong place...um, really? I understand address mishaps, etc. I'm pretty understanding as I work in events and of course it happens often, but it really didn't seem as if it were a problem when I explained to her, there's no way they typed in the address correctly into their GPS. Also no attempt to get something so important and so expensive as flowers to the recipient. They just sat wherever until the next day, unable to be enjoyed. I'm used to florists in California when every attempt to make sure recipient receives the flowers are made. You'd think the shop would call to let me know they were unable to deliver the florals, but nooooo, I had to call them 30 minutes after they were opened to ask them about the flowers! The experience left me with a really experience all together. I'm waiting on a supposed refund and have yet to receive, so yeah, you can say I'm a little annoyed at this point. read more

I worked with Lisa over the phone and together we picked out a modified version for a very special occasion. I saw the few ratings here and this florist popped up on Yelp as serving Fort Lauderdale by the Sea. I was excited to send flowers to my mom for her 80th birthday, so I ordered, got an email confirmation and thought all was good. Then days after my mother's birthday, I realized she had never thanked me for the flowers, which was really unlike her. Turns out they were never delivered. I called the company and they got back to me after researching, saying they don't serve this area (7 miles away from their shop), even though right below here on the yelp site in their info it says "Grace Flowers, Inc. offers flower delivery in Pompano Beach and all Surrounding areas and cities ." I asked why no one called me ever and they said it was a computer glitch. I really do not believe any of their excuses. They just messed up. I would not trust my flower delivery to this company and am very sad about all this. read more
