For me, the stylists at Sandra's (especially Sandra) are all long-term-relationship-worthy. They're sweet, know their stuff and want to please clients. Great cuts and color. Recently, a friend was in town and mentioned she hated her current haircut. I snapped a pic to confirm and we were definitely on a straight path to fixing it. I called Sandra's to see if we could get in but that was a resounding 'no'. (Great stylists + many clients + Saturday = not happening.) Sandra offered up a new stylist I hadn't heard of: Michael Ahmeti. Okay, sold. Michael is fabulous. He fixed my friend's botched cut with such ease that I booked an appointment for highlights on the spot. He is personal in that he wants you to be completely happy but will not let you try to achieve something you saw in a photo if it's impossible. (Example: he told my friend, "You have a beautiful neck but a short cut is not happening. No.") Back to my appointment: while my (flawless) highlights were processing, he checked on me regularly, explained next steps, etc. The color processed perfectly, no toning, correcting, etc. the cut was amazing and the blowout was selfie-worthy. I googled Michael after leaving the salon and Yelp reviews from his past salon were amazing. He's a certified gem. How he landed in Granville is a mystery/blessing. Final thoughts: I did post a selfie after my appointment and comments ranged from "love this!" to "this is so pretty I want to scream!"

My normal stylist recently reduced her hours however, so I decided to go with a new stylist. This isn't the first time I've done this at Attractions, so I thought it would be fine. For reference, I walked in with a slightly overgrown wolf cut, and specifically requested to just cut it so that my hair would fall just to the bottom of my ears instead of my shoulders. I also specified that I like the weight and volume my hair had and that I just needed to get it cleaned up. I showed my new stylist, Chris, a photo of what my hair looked like the last time I got it cut to really hammer home the point. In that photo, my hair was down to my ears, with full volume and weight intact. Chris proceeded to shave my hair off. What I mean is that, instead of taking off maybe 2 inches to bring it to my bottom ear, he took off 4-5 inches, shaved the entire sides of my head off taking away all the volume and weight I loved, and then gave me, not a wolf cut, but basically a 1-inch version of a 90's middle part. Before showing me the cut, he apologized, and said he got distracted talking and cut it too short. I can't say I haven't been victim to a yapfest or two in my day, but it would take a lot for me to accidentally turn someone into a Walmart Leonardo DiCaprio from 1997. Its just unfortunate to walk in with 4 years worth of hair growth and walk out with none of it when you just wanted a clean up.

I am stuck with black dye all over my cheeks and I haven't been going to class because it's so embarrassing . I called to issue a complaint and they didn't answer, then they said that the manager would call me back at 7. at 830 he called me back and after I explained the issue to him he said I could just "wipe the dye off with a wipe" and that "the issue is that I just didn't like it". Jackie is THE BEST! It's so easy to make an appointment online and she does a gorgeous job! The only thing really bumming me out is that they don't have nail drying fans so my nails weren't dry for 3 hours so they're all chipped up. She told me they would dry in 5 minutes :( Other than that it's a nice place...they just need to invest in some better nail drying equipment.
