Sometimes the students are nervous cutting hair. But that just shows how much they care about doing a great job. Their instructor(s) also walk around as well and help and advise as needed. I came in at 9AM and didn't know they dont start services until 9:30. I got a shampoo/cut/blow out. The student working on me trimmed my ends until they were straight, did awesome at the blow dry, used the flat iron for a little to smooth out the baby hairs and she was so proud of her work that she took a video. I'll keep coming here because I don't keep up with my hair appearance anyways, and I like to help aspiring professionals out. At a cheap price too. Today i went in for a color touch-up, something I had done about 6 times before. A dumpy, stocky, barrel of a woman in red lipstick started screaming me out for not know color codes. And not having a photograph of what was done in the past. What a nsaty attitude and a scream down in the middle of the salon. Reprimanding me about not knowing these are students and I SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO ASK FOR. Excuse me? I am paying $72 dollars for a service. Even if its student, I expect a bare minimum of service for my money. You are not doing clients a favor. Clients are doing you a favor to sit there for 5 hours so your students can make an absolute mess of their hair and then pay $72. Onto the students. The quality of students they have have zero competence. Again a bare minimum is expected when you charge $72. The students are so incompetent that they have no busienss even being students in any area. The school is doing a very poor job recruiting students. Most of the times you leave the insititute worse than you came in. The students dont give a rat's tail what they do. They are too much in a rush to sit and play with their iphones Lastly, they downright destroy your hair. During my blowdry she yanked so much of the hair out. I came out with a splitting headache. And after all this more of a surprise: A service that I expected to pay 50$ for came up to $62 plus 10$ tip. I could' ve gone to a professionals salon for this price. What a horrible experience. The classes are in stages and the instructors take their time to make sure students are advancing at every level. The active salon environment got me acclimated to real life salon situations.
