My appointment was changed the night before from Then my nail tech Lorena was still 30 + minutes late, which is fine because it happens .. however she didn't even apologize for the lateness then took her sweet time settling down before starting my mani pedi. I had SNS powder on my nail prior to arrival. After soaking my nails.. She left some powder residue on my nails . I asked her to remove it bcs it will cause the polish on top to crack prematurely once the residue starts rising (do I have to explain this to a nail tech?) . She said she didn't remove it bcs she didn't want to scrape my nails any further. OK but did I ask you that or did I ask you to remove it? She painted my nails and left a noticeable streak (see picture) then when I tell her about it she gets defensive. Giving an explanation that she needed to get polish on the corner but if she did a new coat it would be too thick. I don't want to hear excuses. Overall it was not a clean set. You can see the pictures and judge yourself. On top Of it all it was so overpriced AND MY NAILS CHIPPED THE NEXT DAY. I got my nails done by a nail tech named Nikita and it was one of the best experiences ever. She was super gentle with my cuticles and she did the design that I wanted and it came out perfectly. She was super charming and knows what she is doing. This establishment looks clean and well kept. I really recommend anyone that lives in the area to visit this nail salon and ask for Nikita. I went to The Nail Bar after a friend had recommended that I try them out. It was easy to find and there was parking available on the street. The only thing that didn't make me give them 5 stars was my 1 hour waiting time. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 pm with Cariesha and I wasn't in her chair until 3:30ish. Once I finally got in her chair, she started doing someone's eyelashes. So while sitting there, I found myself getting agitated, until the owner, Janet (who is so friendly and inviting by the way) offered me a slice of pizza. At first I declined, but then after sitting and realizing lashes take time applying them, I took her up on her slice. After I finished my slice, I was offered a complimentary glass of wine. You had the option to choose from red or white. I couldn't complain too much about the wait if I'm eating pizza and sipping wine. The staff was extremely nice and sweet. The Nail Bar makes you feel like you're hanging with your girls. The conversation is hilarious between the nail techs and customers. It's a very inviting place. I even had a problem with my card and Cariesha allowed for me to come back with cash to pay the rest of my balance. I've seen this place and finally decided to go there. Had to call to make an appointment, which required them to take my credit card information and automatically charge $20 upfront but then it would go toward the final bill and this would also create a client profile. Ok. Once I arrived the vibe and the Marilyn Monroe decor was welcoming to this small environment. The bar itself is where the nails are done. Stephanie was nail technician. I was taken care of on time, she was frIendly and they have TV playing which was entertaining. I felt comfortable and went in for full set tips, sns powder and a sort of French manicure no gems or anything crazy. When done there was NO hand massage like most places provided. Got the receipt and there was a charge of $62.00 with the details of the service: full set, colored gel, fairy dUst( which actually looks and feelss like glitter). Which I paid in cash along with a tip. I was kind of annoyed that the receipt didn't show the original $20 that was already deducted from my credit card. When I inquired I was told that the total was actually $82.00. Moving forward, made an a future appointment which senDs are reminder a few days before, not knowinG that this messaging system doesn't communicate messages. I responded to cancel appointment. Nothing. Today I get a reminder again for my appointment I reply again to cancel appointment then I get a replay to call the business directly. So then I called and explained that I tried to cancel previously, unfortunately Stephanie just said "since it's a still same day cancellation your card will be charged $20." Well then this place will not have me as a customer again. I'm sure they are great but this experience left me with a negative impression. Just went there today for the first time. After all the reviews I expected to love it but after paying $70 for a acrylic full set that was lifting just 10 minutes after I left I was so disappointed. My nails were lifting, the polish wasn't applied right, dust particles were all inside the gel and I ended up with a bumpy top coat. So I simply decided to check it out. I scheduled an appt for 10:15am pedi and acrylic tips. Pedi was good. But I waited a long time to get my nails done. Didn't leave out of there until 2pm. Services were ok. No complaints. Nothing exceptional tho - especially for the price and the wait. I believe it was Janet who did my nails. It's a rather small setting, and the other nail techs were pretty loud and very opinionated. I felt forced to engage in unnecessary convo. In my opinion, if you like the new trendy, loud, blingy nails, with an atmosphere to match, this is the place for you. For me, I don't care how many mimosas you have to offer, pampering myself is my time to relax, so this just isn't the salon for me. read more

So today I took a chance and called Nail Bar to see if they had any open appointments. I am so lucky that they did. Stephanie is an amazing nail technician. She turned what could only be looked at as a joke for nails into a beautiful work of art. After going to a different salon, my nail shape was horrible and all of my nails were lifting and breaking. Stephanie fixed my shape, fixed my broken nails, and did a beautiful paint job and design. Not only is she super awesome at what she does, she is a great person too. My pedicure was done by a very nice spanish lady who took her time and made sure I was satisfied with her work. My nails however, were done by Denisse and I must say Im super upset, not only did the design come out horrible, they were all uneven, the polish turned black 2 days after I got them done, the acrylic was exaggerating she didnt file enough, the cuticle on my nail looks horrible not to mention all the bubbles on my polish bursted and I look like I have little black dots on my nails. So I went to the Nail Bar years ago and had very good experiences. So I decided to go again, but this time I was not satisfied. When I walked in I was not greeted my nail tech at all. I was getting a gel manicure and regular pedicure. She motioned me to come to the back and began my pedicure. That was fine. When it was time to do my gel manicure, I told her my nail had broken to the skin and was hurting. She just looked at me. As I put my hand through the plexiglass I could not really see how she was filing my nails. She flied them straight across and all the way down to the skin. She did not shape them at all. I had to tell her to "round the edges, please" and that is when I realized she filed all my nails off!!! Never has this happened to me. I told her it was too short, again she just looked at me. When I put my nails under the UV light they burned. I felt no care at all. She didn't even lotion my hands. Once done she just got of her stool and went to the back as I paid. Idk what her problem was, but I will never go back there again. I do not like the cold treatment at all. I could not behave that way in my line of work. I had a scheduled appointment and arrived 5 minutes early only to be told that it was impossible to have an appointment because they were booked. I had booked the appointment via phone 2 weeks prior. On another occasion the nail tech was so rude and unprofessional and actually complained about the work she was doing on my nails TO ME! I emailed the owner months ago and never received a response.
