Gruft although nice him dr Kennedy Kaplan ignored my doctors warning's ignored them made a fortune off me stopped treatment a pre paid 9 months housing and transportation was over 100k while near death ignored me telling them of chronic dehydration and abdominal pain. Well it was twisted descending colon and cecum. Would not consider continuing treatment without ketamine against my doctors order's and my wishes and when i did it for them i nearly died they abandoned me and that put me in a nursing home for 2 years and on deaths doorstep still 7 years later never recovered still was given last rights and if not for my lawyers wife talking me and doctors out of it i was headed to hospice nearly dead anyway. They were doing the paperwork. Karina swears she didn't but the information my lawyers have says different. I have evey call email vmail and letters. Dr. Kennedy did a toxin release on me when severely dehydrated and a day later i was in icu for 3 weeks came out to restart and they refused to honor the plan including restarting all my natural effective therapies. Left to die from August 2019 till Feb 2020. Sad i liked her and him but malfeasance and abandonment. No way oh i have more to say so expect more. Dr. Gruft and his team are the most kind, compassionate, and understanding medical group I've ever come across in my 52 years of life. He really takes his time to find out the source of the pain, and endeavors to follow a comprehensive plan to alleviate the suffering. He just has the best bedside manner of any physician I've met. Dr. Gruft listens intently and does not judge you at all but rather is quite supportive in affirming what you have been going through. In addition to his friendly and prompt front desk staff, I also must compliment the physical therapist Jizelle. During our session, she took time to carefully go over the steps needed to lessen the pain through exercises that anyone can do at home. She makes sure you understand the physical sources of the pain. She realizes that the answer to pain management involves not just medication, but active physical therapy as well. The staff here are excellent! Dr. Gruft is a great, every time I've been in, he's pleasant, and goes out of his way to make sure I understand the testing scope and results. I cannot say enough about what Dr. Gruft and Sarah have done for me. I appreciate the staff changeovers of late too, and I so appreciate that Dr. Gruft doesn't try to push his own views on his patients. He and Sarah and the PT team are kind, caring and considerate. They listen and they care. That's really about the best thing I can say for any doctor. Being in chronic pain is just awful. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but it does give you a sense of empathy, compassion and perspective unlike anything else I've ever experienced. I've been to a few awesome doctors and a few absolutely heinous doctors who don't feel like women's or people of color's pain matters at all. Dr. Gruft surpasses all of them. My only complaint is the billing manager. I realize she's the doctor's wife, but she doesn't seem to have that kindness that Sarah and Dr. Gruft and Dr. Kennedy have. She even seems to make the staff and the other patients feel a bit uncomfortable. She has been known to grossly over bill patients for quite bizarre reasons that I cannot adequately understand, and her personality is...not the best. Aside from her, you really couldn't ask for a better doctor's office for your chronic pain management. One of the things I've really appreciated throughout my years with Dr. Gruft is that he never pushes anything on you. I've been to doctors in the past--shoot, even pharmacists, who absolutely try to bully folks into having expensive, unhelpful steroid shots, nerve blocks and neuroblasion surgeries that can cause lifelong health complications. That doesn't feel right to me, and in the past, when I've turned such offers down, I've been met with an "oh well" attitude. Dr. Gruft does not do that. He referred me to Dr. Karina Kennedy and her team for expert PT and it has done more for me than any stupid steroid shot or high dose of celebrex or vioxx which can affect your body's filtration system in severe and lasting ways. I've been able to taper down my pain meds as well, which is excellent, because the NSAIDs in particular are hell on my stomach. I am just really impressed with Dr. Gruft and Sarah's knowledge base, kindness and understanding. If you're in pain, give them a try. You will never be dismissed, treated like an outlier or made to feel unimportant, and you won't be shamed. Like I said, that's about the best review I can leave for any doctor. read more

Great doctor's! Gruftt is top shelf. Dr. Stacey rocks too! The wrinkle...... front office does not communicate very well with the doctors when you leave messages. It has been 4 times that they have not delivered messages for me. In the beginning I did not sleep for 8 days and after 6 days I told the reception to let the doctor know. She said she would. She didn't. Not until I talked to their therapist to get accepted 2 days later did the doctor get notified about it. That's pretty important stuff. I was short 3 pills this month and I understand I don't know why. But a couple months before I thought I was out of pills and I called the receptionist. After, I called to tell them that I found them and they assured me that they would tell the doctor. They didnt. So now I'm labeled patient with shortages. they say that i have to prove myself responsible with my pills. Im not kidding. Humiliating. Physical therapists are some of the best I've ever been to but are always 10 to 30 minutes late So I had them write a referral to another physical therapy place closer to my home. If you need pain medications this is the place. Good Doctors. Awesomely deep evaluations. The best evaluation I've ever had. I know exactly where my body is messing up. Don't trust the receptionists to deliver messages. Get physical therapy close to home. If they improve in the future I will edit this review. read more

This review is for both Dr. Gruft and his staff, as well as the physical therapy department. First, Dr. Gruft... Dr. Gruft and his staff are so unbelievably thorough, I couldn't believe it. For your first visit, you can expect it to take anywhere from 2-3 hours. Yeah, they spend THAT much time going over your history to hopefully find out exactly what's going on. The office is clean, quiet, and well located. The front desk staff is wonderful and always greet you by name, as do the nurse's. The only downside is that it can be difficult to get an appointment, especially last minute. And, sometimes the wait can be long. However, I look at it as a good thing. People continue to come back to Dr. Gruft and the wait time can be attributed to the staff spending ample time with each patient. Dr. Gruft also spends lots of time talking to you about the possible treatment options. Unfortunately for me, surgery is one of the only options available for my shoulder, however he still went over every possible route that I could take. Also, he lets YOU make the final decision on treatment, instead of making the choice for you. Treatments seem to range from injections, physical therapy, surgery, medication management, massage therapy, and many others. The physical therapy department is much like Dr. Gruft's staff. VERY friendly and thorough. The wait time is generally much shorter and it's easier to set an appointment the same week. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and clearly want the best for you. They tailor your program to your daily life style, and I absolutely love that about them. I travel A LOT for work (sitting at the airport right now) and they've literally taught me stretches to do pre and post flight. They're absolutely incredible. If you're suffering from chronic pain, or even suffered a relatively recent injury that didn't heal properly and is now causing you pain, I'd start with Dr. Gruft. If he can't help you, I'm sure he'll point in the right direction. The staff genuinely seems to want the best for each patient and the office is always well maintained. read more

This center is everything what is wrong with American healthcare system. Get ready for typical con scheme of multiple diagnostic tests that have nothing to do with you problem and everything to do with how much their pockets are filled with more money than they need. Dr. Gruft may have spent several years in the industry but the only thing he has gained is an extra arm constantly patting on his own back. $2300.00 out of pocket expense thus far and not even a noticeable change in my severity of pain. I couldn't keep a track of how much he got from insurance. Both Dr Gruff and Dr Doogle are the best pain doctors out there! They are so thorough with your records they look through your whole records so you dont have to repeat everything AND THEY DON'T LET PHARMACEUTICAL REPS IN! yeah! If you want ethical, thorough, honest doctors, these doctors are for you.EXCELLENT and I have had over 10 pain doctors that either weren't qualified or pushed the latest drug or pump for a free vacation or golf membership! I can tell you after all I have been threw I am not easy on some of these so called doctors of pain. Stay away from the internet Riverside doctor's whose license's were revoked one for over prescribing for money or sex and the other doctor was indicted for Medicare fraud stay away!
