Driving school is the best place to learn how to drive for several reasons. Firstly, it provides a structured and safe environment for students to learn and practice driving skills under the guidance of experienced instructors like Joe. Additionally, driving school offers a range of resources and tools to facilitate learning, such as simulators, instructional videos, and practice tests. These resources supplement in-car instruction and help reinforce important concepts, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of driving on their own. Overall, Joe's role as a skilled and dedicated driving school teacher underscores the importance of formal driver education in creating safe and responsible drivers. Furthermore, Joe's passion for his profession is contagious, inspiring students to take their driving education seriously and strive for excellence. His enthusiasm for teaching extends beyond the confines of the classroom, as he actively seeks out opportunities to engage with students outside of scheduled lessons, whether through additional practice sessions or informational workshops. Joe's genuine investment in his students' success fosters a supportive learning community where individuals feel motivated to achieve their goals and become confident drivers. This dedication to fostering a positive and empowering learning environment further solidifies Joe's reputation as an outstanding driving school teacher deserving of recognition and a raise.

I spent two days at BAL Driving School determined to get my U.S. driver's license, and I can…read morehonestly say you won't find another school like this. The owner, Bal, went above and beyond -- he was understanding, patient, and genuinely cared about helping me succeed. As someone who's dyslexic and gets anxious around tests, I really appreciated how flexible and calm the environment was. Bal let me take the written test at my own pace, moved appointments around for me, and even let me stay at the office until I finally passed both tests. That kind of support and understanding is rare. If you want a driving school that actually treats you like a person -- not just another student -- this is the place. Bal is the man, and I can't recommend his school highly enough. Dave.

Driving test for a Washington State driver's license here at BAL is ultra frustrating, the guy who…read moreruns this place [language: ESL; very difficult to understand] insisted at the last minute that we use his car, even tho we planned to use our own. Extra $$$!! Then, he did NOT even sanitize his own driving car between other drivers!!! The guy decided to fail my husband right away on allegedly a "California stop", tho my husband insists he came to a full stop at the stop sign, and gently pulled forward. Also, during the drive, my husband turned left, using a left blinker, and the guy insisted that he was using his right blinker!? Absolutely not. ONE MISTAKE and the $$$ test is over? So, after paying over a hundred dollars, the guy just quickly failed my husband, not even going thru the entire test so my husband can be more prepared for next time. Not only that, the guy was super negative and never gave any compliments whatsoever on anything good my husband did. He jUSt said, fail. Personally, i have been a Washington State driver since 1990, and i can say, that my husband is an excellent driver. The whole test experience was over in less than ten minutes. What a disappointing waste of time and money. No credit toward next exam? No incentive to return to BAL? None. This guy at BAL has a total racket going on right now, as the DOL/DMV falls apart.

*** Review for 3-day beginner motorcycle permit course ***…read more Let me begin by saying that Sherry Jennings and Sean Grimm are absolutely excellent instructors; you can really tell they care about keeping you safe. Sherry's enthusiasm and passion for motorcycling and teaching were amazing. She has a very vibrant way of teaching that easily holds your attention. Both Sherry and Sean were super helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. They WANT you to succeed and they're beyond great at what they do. That being said, it would be nice if the class sizes could be smaller. Our class was 16 riders. On the range, we had both instructors present, but I felt like if there had been fewer riders, there would have been more room for individualized help and feedback. I want to be very clear that this is a critique of the WMST class itself and NOT a fault of the instructors in any way--the instructors truly did their absolute best to help everyone and spent extra time with the people who needed it most while still being attentive to everyone. Having more time on the range would also be helpful for nailing skills down. The bikes seemed to be well-maintained (take with a grain of salt since I only rode two). I liked that we got to pick what style of bike we wanted to ride. I felt extremely lucky with my classmates; everyone was super kind and supportive of each other, which was awesome! Honestly, a big highlight of this experience for me was the other wonderful people taking the course alongside me--to say they were great would be an understatement. *** End of review, advice below *** I have literally zero experience with motorcycles and was lucky enough to pass my permit exams first try. FOR ALL MY FELLOW COMPLETE BEGINNERS, PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE!! This is a whole new skill you're learning and you absolutely need to set yourself up for success! *Your course includes the Champ U NEW RIDER online course, at the BARE MINIMUM you need to complete the portions outlined in the email. But don't stop there. COMPLETE THE WHOLE ENTIRE ONLINE COURSE **BEFORE** YOUR IN-PERSON COURSE! You really need to set yourself up for success with the book learning, especially if you don't have access to practice with a motorcycle. Even if you have previous experience, I would still recommend completing the entire online course because you want any misconceptions corrected before they possibly hurt you. The online course covers a lot of great stuff, there's really no reason not to do it (it's free!). Plan ahead and start it early because it takes a while to get through everything, but this is a lifelong skill and I promise you it's totally worth it! *ENGAGE IN CLASSROOM DISCUSSIONS!!! PAY ATTENTION DURING CLASSROOM PORTIONS! Show the instructors that you are listening by engaging with the discussions! IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, ASK! The instructors are super friendly and are more than happy to explain anything you're wondering about. *Watch videos of the permit test on YouTube so you know what to expect *Take deep breaths and try to relax! Watch what everyone else is doing and see how everybody is making mistakes. IT'S OK! That's part of learning! It helps your confidence when you realize that pretty much everyone else is struggling and learning too! If you don't pass the first time, don't beat yourself up. This is difficult and there's a LOT to process. You can know what you need to do and still panic under the pressure of a test. Just do your best and don't give up. Stay safe!

For Driving test I…read morehad the worst experience here! Idk if my driving instructor is just rude or just racists to me in way where i feel likes shes indicating or saying something that made me feel uncomfortable. For my first visit I did walk in and she was the one in front and i was doing driving test and she ask if I had WA I.D. Since english is my second language i don't immediately get what shes trynna look for i told her That i have WDL number/and school I.D. Or permit and she immediately said so you dont have WA I.D. and she keep saying so your illegally driving then? Idk what came to her mind thinking I been driving illegally when I passed my permit couple months before starting my driving tests. I explained to her that when i took my knowledge tests at 911 driving school they told me i can just get driving tests as soon as possible mind you I'm (19 y old). so she let me drive which I shouldn't done on our first test she failed me and gave me 0% just because I'm speeding 28/25 miles and i dont stop fully. I told my dad and he thinks she's unreasonable for giving me 0 score just because i was speeding a little bit. Also shes been smiling at me and look so happy when she told me my results that made me feel uncomfortable its like she loves seeing people fail in front of her she didn't give me tips on how to improve so i felt like shes being sarcastic and for my second try she recognized me and this time i went slow and she didn't passed me just because i was dangerously slow i was going 17/20 mph idk if shes not looking the sign but she told me i was going 15/25 mph street when it clearly said 20 miles and watch for people crossing. Its like she's intentionally failing her students who are different so I highly don't recommend the place specifically this branch because it's overpriced and it's better to get your test somewhere else specially when you're not white. Btw her name is Cherry don't recommend her at all cost shes not worth of your money its ridiculous that they charge $65 for failing you i regret going there and made me feel like i wasted my time and money just to get 0 score because of her unreasonable result.
