The guys behind the counter are very professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming to everyone walking through the front door. I've been to smaller shops and larger ones; I'd say that there's a good chance they can steer a customer in the right direction with stock on-hand, and absolutely will order from their distributor anything they don't. There's also a selection of used (yellow tag) items for sale, as well as consignment items (green tag) for sale as well. Like most gun store owners, they're a bit wary of new customers coming through the door, but after you get to know them, they will absolutely be there for you with any advice and help to make sure you're satisfied and safe. Really appreciate having a store like this, unlike some others in Connecticut that make you feel like you're doing them a favor being a customer. No range on the premises, there are some nearby such as Wolf's (which gets my thumbs up) where you can try out before you buy.

I attended an all-ladies pistol class this past weekend. The class is held in one of the office…read morespaces in a brick building. There is plenty of parking and the class is held in a room that is very well-lit, comfortable, clean, with lots of visuals and information posted and... coffee and snacks! I had no expectations because I had absolutely no idea what to expect and didn't know anything about guns or ammo. I can honestly say that after this class, I feel very comfortable and am much more knowledgeable. Lisa and Matt are passionate about what they do and are very well-versed on all topics related to shooting, with safety above all else. The indoor shorting range we went to after i took the written test, is about an 8 minute drive. I was filled with nervous excitement, but once we started shooting, I only felt excitement because I felt really prepared! I walked through every step each time. Lisa and Matt offered lots of great advice based on their experience, and I'm grateful to have found them and this class. They offer a variety of classes and I plan to continue my education through them.

Very disappointed with how I have been treated by Peter. I told him my father has a medical…read morecondition that he can no longer take the pistol class, Peter told me I would get refunded for my fathers payment of $99. This was back at the end of 2021. We have YET to receive the refund. Also, when Covid has gotten so bad and my wife as a nurse thought it would be best for us to not take the class. I emailed Peter multiple times to ask for a refund (I understand he has a no refund policy) my wife and I thought he would be understanding by this since she is around people with Covid all the time, and we were doing what was best for us and keeping people in the class safe. I to this day still have no received my refund nor have a received a email reply. I have called his office multiple times but I am getting no call back. Very disappointed. Not a place I would recommend for someone to go. I didn't know it would be that hard to see that my wife goes through seeing people with Covid and putting her life on the line, and Peter can't even give us our refund. So sad.
