I was a little hesitant to come here, to be honest. When I had called to ask about piercing prices, the person on the phone was less than pleasant. Upon entering the shop, I then understood why. For being later in the night (we got there around 8) the place was packed! They had clients in all chairs and many people waiting. I would be a little short on the phone as well! The piercer, Mike, was very sweet and focused on making sure the alignment was correct. I got both my lobes done and he was very quick about it. He explained after care fairly well and was great about not seeming to want to rush, even though there were a lot of people behind me. If you are coming here to get a tattoo they only allow one friend to come up. My friends and I freed all of our plans to be able to come and they would not let us because of state laws which cannot be true because at many other tattoo places I have been in a room with over 5 people. I got my nose pierced at Defiance along with my two friends who also got peircings the same day. Months went by and my piercing never healed. I went back after a while of my nose being red and developing a bump around the piercing and I was told to just soak it and it would heal. Meanwhile, my friend's double helix piercing jewelry fell off due to it not being put on tight enough so we went back to get that fixed and it fell out soon after. After a while of having a bump and redness on my nose, I went to my doctor and it was extremely infected, making me have to cut the jewelry out. Both of our piercings rejected and I'm not sure that it's a coincidence. We both followed cleaning instructions and ended up just wasting money after both piercings failed. I would consider all of your options before deciding on a place to get peircings done. read more

Well that was a bust and a waste of time..they couldn't pursue the recommended shading for a tat as I wanted-recommended to make it bigger and I could see it in their faces/attitude how the design didn't suit their way of doing what they wanted to do! Overall looked at me like I was a beginner sorry for the bad review but you may want to think twice about messing with people like me, I strive to have great art and my body has plenty of them so next time keep in mind it's our tattoo not yours, all we ask is for your creativity to implement it. I got pierced by Mike today and he did a fantastic job!!! All of the staff at Defiance are super cool and fun. Anyways, my friend was getting her bellybutton done so I decided to get something too! Mike put up with me acting like a huge baby and was incredibly nice and patient the entire time. I really appreciated it. Many of my friends have been pierced here and all of theirs healed well so I knew it would work out well for me. I definitely would recommend Defiance for any piercing! read more

I had gotten several tattoos at this place because they boast cheap tattoos. Terrible service as well as bossy. They are clean is the only thing I can say. Do not fall into the cheap tattoo scheme they turn out terrible in the end. They are very rude here and not kind to their customers. Most of the time will say no to what you actually want. Go somewhere else who will actually do what you want even if it is more expensive because it will be better. read more

I wanted to get my conch pierced but did not want to pay $50+ for a simple piercing so I went here. I've known a couple people that have gone here for piercings and were satisfied with their outcome. I, unfortunately, went on the busiest day of the year and it took 3 hours before I could get my 2-minute piercing done. The piercer was somewhat friendly but didn't seem interested at all. He pierced my conch with a 1/4" barbell which is WAY too small for how thick the cartilage is. The barbell fell out after 1 month and couldn't get it back in because it was too small and had to use another earring that I had used for my cartilage. It was about $30. I want some ear piercings done yesterday and found out they took walk-ins! I am visiting from out of town so this was perfect for me. I walked in and was helped right away. I signed a form and had to wait about 30 ish min since two other people were before me getting piercings too. The piecer, mike, I guess was finishing up a tattoo and then was going to do the two people in front of me. This was no big deal as I was not in a rush. Those 30 mins flew by like that. I was next so I walked in and Mike was super nicer and friendly. I wanted three piercings, my thirds on each line and a cartilage. Mike took his time in making sure the dot he made in my ear lined up with my other piercings. He wanted me to look at it to make sure it looked good! It was perfect! No pain at all just a bit of a pinch but maybe that's because it's hard for me to deal with needles. I wasn't nervous though. Lol and I didn't squeal so that's a good sign! Went to defiance because I heard many good things about them. When I arrived they were not busy which made the experience fast. Once they got ready they called me up and said only one person can be in the room, they even told us where we were and were not able to stand. They were so rude and pissy. Only giving 2 stars because my tattoo did turn out good but the overall customer service was awful. My friend was getting a little star on her foot, one of the points were crooked the tattoo artist got all pissy when she said she wanted it straight and compared the star to the Mona Lisa, saying its art the Mona Lisa isn't perfect either. Don't go here unless you want condescending rude people to give you a tattoo. Not to mention we weren't the only ones the were rude to. They seemed to be rude to everyone. There is no need to get an attitude when someone points out something they don't like on a stencil before they get a PERMANENT tattoo. read more

If I did not have to choose stars I would not give this place any. The men working were cocky & very rude. I asked for realistic roses on the outside of my forearm. Black & white. Hints of red. I got AWFUL traditional roses with ZERO shading. Paid way to much for crap work. I now have to pay $200 for a cover up. Wishing I could burn this establishment down! DONT GO read more

Received extremely unprofessional service from this place. I got two tattoos from here and one needed a touch-up. I made an appointment to get it done and when I came at the scheduled time for my touch-up, they were too busy to take me and said they had to reschedule. When I came back in a couple days later for my new appointment time, the artist that was originally supposed to do my touch-up ended up not even working that day. Not to mention, when I finally did get it touched up, my tattoo ended up being uneven with some letters of the word being extremely thicker than the others. I get all of my piercings done here. (Tragus, conch, cartilage and nose) I've never been disappointed! There is never a long wait and I can just walk in and get them done. Everything is very clean. This place is much better than smokin tattoos down the road. read more

As a former loyal customer since 2015, I can no longer recommend Defiance Tattoos in good faith. During their $30 Friday the 13th special, I brought in my own artwork and had it tattooed on me by David at full price ($50). Then, later that same day, they posted their Friday the 13th flash sheets to their Instagram story, with my design photocopied and added to the sheet. When I messaged them to ask to remove it from the flash sheet and from their story, I got absolutely no reply. Stealing art and selling it for cheaper than I paid for it? That's definitely a problem. Not only that, but my whole experience in the shop felt rushed--like they wanted to get me in and out, with no regard for the quality of my tattoo or my experience. Ever since Pops retired, the quality of Defiance has gone down significantly. I don't know who's in charge now, but it definitely isn't what it used to be. If you want great art and a great experience, go visit War Horse Ink or any other local tattoo shop in the area--don't bother with this place. They'll overcharge for your own art, then recycle it and sell it for cheaper to make a quick buck. Don't waste your time with this morally and creatively bankrupt shop. read more

Just had my ears pierced by Rob. He was great! Nice, quick, and answered all questions I had. I got there a little after 5 pm in a Saturday and soon after the place was packed! Not a long wait, but super busy! I would recommend for sure! read more
