It sounds stranger than it really is. It's a very nice quality and very large wooden dance floor, and best of all the people are very friendly. The median age is probably mid/late-40s. No alcohol but there are snacks. The beginner lesson starts at 7:30PM, the intermediate at 8:15PM, and open dancing at 9PM (lessons only $4 for both beg/int; open dance only $10 ($6 if become a member)). You DO NOT NEED A PARTNER as partners rotate during the lessons. This helps you learn to dance much more quickly than sticking with one person. Music covers most of the ballroom genres as well as country. It's a lot of fun and great exercise! About the only thing they could do to improve things is to dim the lights during the open dancing portion.

We have almost no hands on experience. More than half the time we're just sitting in a quiet…read moreclassroom doing online assignments, a lot of which is stuff we won't ever run into in the field, and when we do any labs it's on some random students car, and the rest of our 15-16 student class just watches them figure out other issues and nothing is accomplished. The most experience I've had doing anything remotely helpful was our engines class, and our electronics class. The rest of the four so far have been so minimal. In our list of assignments we have maybe 10 "labs" to complete, and we maybe do 1. The rest of them the teacher just gives us a 100% for being there, sometimes not even if we're there, and that's it. And they want to worry about attendance now, making it 60% of the grade when the classroom material is barely hands-on, leaving most of the work able to be done from home! I want to pursue a career in auto mechanics and feel proud of it, not feel good about sitting on my computer everyday of the week doing homework assignments that have so much random material in it that don't ever apply. It's not even the American system either! It's all Canadian! What system have they even adopted?? Doing nothing all day and giving every student a 100% on their grades because 5 whole weeks in a classroom isn't enough to teach at least 2-3 things in?? No wonder good credibility amongst mechanics in the field is so hard to find, schools like this let anyone grab a wrench and touch things.

One prayer I'm Islam is Thuhr Prayer which is at midday. That's usually during recess, which means I have to pray during midday. I prayed and due to that, I had to be late to class because I had to read long recitations. so I get sent to the office for being late, and I explain to the deen about this. And keep in mind I told him I'm Muslim and what does he say? "This isn't church buddy!" I told this idiot that I am Muslim. So just to piss him off, I also prayed Asr prayer which is after midday. So after the bell rings, that's near the prayer. So I prayed in the field just to piss him off. At the end of prayer, he insults me again, so I told him, "There are different religions by the way. Please learn that." I told him that to teach him. And don't even get me started on Ramadan. As most of you peopel know, you don't eat from dawn to sunset for 30 days. Simple. For the Muslim kids that fast, there is a table outside the cafeteria to nit see a bunch of kids eat. That is smart, but in the dumbest way possible. Why? Well, there is a window outside the cafeteria and all the kids who aren't fasting go to that window, eat in front of it, and I and all the kids that fats are seeing the kids eat. It's one problem after another. And now I'm reading the Quran during reading time in class. For those who don't know, the Quran is the Muslim version of the bible. I'm reading it and keep in mind it's in arabic. I can read Arabic. The teacher comes and says, "That book is not in English." He then lectures me and goes like "You need a book in English" and I get sent to the office. Now I have two adults lecturing me at the same time. The next day, I bring a Quran with tafsir, which basically has Arabic, but English on the side. I read, and then my mentally ill teacher says, "read literature". Then lectures me again. To be honest, what is going in this country? Since 9/11, arabs have been criticized in america and killed by gangs. Just complete racism.
