I've been receiving quarterly services now for well over 2 years and each visit has always been exceptional. Usually my tech is Mike, but this time, our home was treated by Brody. Brody was just as friendly, courteous, and professional as our usual tech. Upon arrival, the tech introduced himself and continued on to ask if we had any major concerns. Having been advised that my crawlspace was inundated with black widow spiders, I immediately Googled top-rated pest control companies in the area. After comparing service and pricing options, I decided on Deft Pest Solutions and was able to schedule a next-day appointment with a technician. The tech arrived on time, is personable, polite and extremely knowledgeable about each of the pests common to the Colorado Springs area. So, in addition to eradicating venomous spiders from the vicinity of my home, using pet-safe chemicals, the tech placed a rodent trap at a strategic location in my yard and (having correctly surmised that wasps are an annual problem in my backyard), he informed me that wasp abatement is also covered under the plan. Finally, the tech said he would return in two weeks to make sure the black widow spiders problem had been resolved. So consider me one very happy camper! read more

The gentleman who answered the phone was very kind and was able to schedule someone to come out within less that 2 hours which was amazing! Thankful for Deft Pest. I asked multiple businesses for a pest control quote via Yelp. Dan the owner of Deft Pest quickly gave me a quote without the hassle of back and forth questions (ex. "Are the wasps yellow or dull yellow?") When I called to finalize my appointment the gentleman who I spoke to was courteous and detailed on what they would be doing at my home. The service rate was affordable when compared to other companies I spoke to. One such company quoted me $165 to deal with wasps in ONE location with no guarantee that their service would work. Deft Pest said they'd come back within 30 days if needed. Hoping I don't have other pest/insect issues at my house, but if I do I'll call Deft Pest without a doubt. read more

UPDATE: The owner called me a little while ago to work through my issues after I wrote my initial review. It appears they are going to make it right as I'd asked, thus the improved rating. Good customer service makes a huge difference. ORGINAL REVIEW: They didn't do a full interior spray of the property (as their tech's service report stated they did) and the ant issue came back 60 days later, JUST in the areas they omitted the first trip. This wouldn't be an issue if they were willing to handle the missed scope free of charge, unfortunately, they want to charge for a full new service trip to correct since it didn't occur within 30 days. I told them I'd be glad to sign up for recurring quarterly service if they would just honor the missed scope free of charge, but they would not due so, so Deft will be losing out on future business that otherwise would have been theirs. read more

Called to cancel service for the next day's appointment (after receiving their text alert of upcoming next day appointment). because we were out of town. I was met with nothing but indifference and rudeness for my families health and financial difficulties. They sent a tech out who entered our property without permission. They reached over our gate and took the lock off from the inside and when he left he didn't replace....dogs could have escaped. Scared dog sitter by "banging" on the door. Unprofessional and careless. To top it all off I have been charged full price yet they only did the outside!!!!! The Owners reached out to me immediately after this issue coming to THEIR attention! They resolved the matter and refunded my account fully and everything was resolved. Thank you Deft Pest Owners for your responsiveness and understanding!!!! read more

If I could give a 0 I would. I don't understand what happened to servicing the customer instead of bullying and arguing with the customer. I received an email on 11/10 that my service was scheduled for 11/16. I called on the 14th and told them I was not available and would call back to re-schedule. They then told me that their system automatically will reschedule me which they have told me every time I have to reschedule as we have a GSD and a life and are not on their time. I did cut her short as I have heard the speech before and was really trying to save both of us time. I left it at that and never heard back until today that they were scheduled to come out tomorrow, the 22nd. I called to cancel and she them proceeded to argue with me non-stop that I would be charged for the trip as I did not give 24 hours notice and on and on and on, etc. I had to hang up as the rep would not listen to me that I never received notice that I had been scheduled for the 22nd. The rep called and continued to bully me to the point I had a panic attack and had to hang up. I called my husband and asked him to handle this as we were going to be charged for a service that I never knew was scheduled. He happened to be in the company's vicinity and was just going to stop by and get it cancelled not only for the 22nd but forever. When I told the manger my husband was on his way, they locked all the doors and stopped answering the phone. What a joke!!! All my husband wanted to do was make sure we would not be billed for the non-service and cancel any future contact. Only use this company if you enjoy abuse. read more

They came out right away and took care of my problem and understood my concerns... I'm coming back to check the traps for mice! Anthony is great! When came back to check my traps, found for mice in the garage none in the house, and he made sure to take the mice with him not throw them in my trashcan. I've had trouble finding a exterminator that is within my budget. I have a plumbing issue and I need an exterminator before the plumbers could do anything so I was grateful that I found this company. They came out on very short notice, were very friendly, the owner directly messaged me, and again were in my budget. If I had a complaint it would only be that the technician showed up around 11 rather than the 3 to 4 time frame but I don't mind because there's always somebody home. Got a quote through yelps's chat with them. After first service was complete there was no exact amount they could tell me was going to be and i would be charged later on the card i provided. Luckily it wasn't more than the initial quote, but it would be nice to know how much I'm going to pay for something ahead of time or at least at the completion of service. Second time they came out i wasn't charged. Came out twice and still have wasp problems in the house. Both times they identified where the wasp nest was and could not get rid of it. Called different company and they resolved the issue first time. read more

This is the worst pest company ever! They will rob you and try to justify charges for services never performed! These men stopped by our house multiple times soliciting their service. We finally broke down and agreed to allow them to spray in a very specific way as I myself am very familiar with pest control. I did complete IPM certification for 3 states as well for my own job. After receiving their service, I noticed a massive increase in spiders and ants.. a problem I honestly didn't have before. I kept noticing inadequacies in their service, so on 9/11/2019, my husband and I spoke to them and cancelled the service. They told us they would have to charge for the service anyway and then we would be done. Today, we noticed a charge that was higher than any other charge from them even though we cancelled the service back in September and no one had even been to our home today. My husband called and they stated that they would not remove the charge because it would be a cancellation charge.. my biggest issue with this is the fact that if they wanted to charge a cancellation fee, why send an email communicating it was for a service (we never received) and why charge me months after for a cancellation charge when I cancelled in September? Wouldn't the cancellation charge be the charge in September? Overall, horrible customer service and business practices. This company is full of frauds and thieves. Do not trust them with your information. They will try and find a way to steal money from you while providing no service whatsoever. I would also like to note that the supposed "cancellation" charge was the reason my husband called even though they tried to tell my husband that charge was for cancelling.. makes no sense except that they wanted to steal money from us. Horrible thieves. I only wish there was a way to give negative stars as I don't even think they deserve one. I am going to contact my bank about the fraudulent charge, as well as the better business bureau and possibly a lawyer. read more
