It resembled a condemned building... The management was all outside drinking and smoking when we walked inside. The inside was no better. Everything was grimy and tattered. It looked like a dive bar not a country club. We asked to play a few holes to get a look at the course for possibly hosting a tournament there. They charged us 34 dollars. The golf cart was encased in dried mud and had 5 crumpled beer cans in the basket. The course was HORRID. It was overgrown and unkept everywhere. The cart paths were literally treacherous in several places. It was so bad that is was unplayable. We stopped after the second hole and escaped. When we got back to the "club house" we tried to ask for a refund and were denied by the already drunk staff. I will never return and will always recommend to others to go elsewhere. *I attached several photos.

I booked the lodge on line and thought it would meet my needs. Well, it did not. At $90 plus a night in Glenwood, Arkansas, you would expect something pretty good. It wasn't. First of all, the guest lodge is 2 miles down a dirt road from the clubhouse and front desk. So if you need another key, or if there is a problem you either have to drive back to the desk OR call and hope they can send someone to you to help. If you lock yourself out and do not have a cell phone you are SOL as there is no one around to help. Second, when I drove over to the lodge (I was assigned the "older" building which appeared to be a converted house) and let myself in, the woman who happened to be there cleaning informed me that the water was not drinkable because there had been a water main break in town and there was a boil order. Funny thing was that the two people that checked me in did not mention that. So this meant a trip into town to get a gallon of water and a bag of ice. If she hadn't been working when I got there I could very well be listing dysentery as one of my complaints. Third, the common kitchen area REEKED of old cooking odors and general mustiness. Fourth, even though I was only one of a couple of rooms occupied, they gave me a depressing, dark old room that was basically at the basement level with a high window that looked out at a brick wall. Fifth, the "gazebo" area that had the hot tub was dirty and furnished with broken and musty furniture. I didn't dare lift the lid to the hot tub and check it out. Sixth, as I checked out I mentioned to the man working that I was less than enthused about my accommodations. He chuckled and advised me to "stay in the newer building next time." There will be no next time. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this place as a place to stay over night unless you plans are to play golf, get drunk, and crash.

The par 5 18th hole was certainly tough with an uphill right-angled dogleg to finish. We highly recommend it!

The greens were so slow because of not being cut in a long time. Any other golf course would close the greens and repair them. We stayed Saturday and Sunday night and had a blast with just my boyfriend and I. The location is…read moreabsolutely beautiful. Our reservation had to be pushed back two weeks due to the pool having a leak so when we got there we had a wine basket full of goodies to apologize for the inconvenience. The owner came down on the first night to make sure we had everything we needed, which we did, and to show me how to turn all the lights on in the pool room and be able to play our music. There is a speaker system set up throughout the house and the pool room. We played our music loud because there are no neighbors close by to bother which is a plus. The kitchen had all cookware you could need and even the fridge was stocked with condiments you might need. We loved playing on the pool table and relaxing in the amazing electric recliner watching TV. We even received a call from Deanna after we left asking for feedback on how they could improve and make sure our stay was up to our expectations. We definitely plan on making a repeat visit and next time with a group.
