I have been trying to find a consistent nail salon to go to. I did the Deja Nail Salon in Agoura for a while, but my two favorite manicurists (Kimberly and Tu) left and I had quite a few bad experiences in a row, so I stopped going there. I saw they'd opened another location in Oak Park, and I saw online they had Tu listed as a manicurist. I booked with him online for acrylic nails with a gel polish, showed up, and he wasn't in the salon. Did he leave the salon altogether or was he not there today? Why was I able to book an appointment with him if he wasn't working today? I am so disappointed in my acrylic nails. 1. Most alarmingly, she filed my sidewalls. That is just SOMETHING YOU DONT DO. 2. The nails themselves are super thick and lumpy - largest (tallest) at the ends of the nails. 3. They are insanely messy underneath. I have gotten acrylic nails since... 2010 on and off, and never have I left the salon with glue and build up UNDER the nails. The manicurist has always taken the sharp bit to clean up underneath. I just happen to find this spot on my way to another nail salon a few miles down the road. Just opened 6 weeks ago and I am super happy with their service. Tu and Kim gave me a great mani/pedi. They accept Venmo and cash and cc with a service fee. Limited color selections although quality nail polish offerings with all of the newest colors and brands. The place is new and clean and has a relaxing quiet vibe. Tu's mani was close to a russian style mani. My nails look clean and trimmed 5 days later with a nearly nude Baby take a vow! 10/10! Kim's pedi was enjoyable and did a great job with a white pedi which can be a hit or miss. The only suggestion I would make is not allowing front desk staff to eat at the reception desk. So excited they have Dazzle Dry polish and know how to apply it! It's a 4 step system, dries in 5 minutes, and it's vegan so doesn't harm your nails and lasts 2 weeks!! Tu did a great job with my manicure. I needed a break from gel nails, and he recommended a Dazzle Dry manicure-a great alternative. Quick dry, lasted over two weeks, and polish removal is just like regular polish, much easier on the nails than gel removal. Highly recommend. read more

I called in the morning and was able to come in right away for a pedicure. The shop is very clean and the sweet owner, Helen, was even cleaning the whole time making sure everything looked great. Tina did a beautiful job on my pedicure, the leg massage was very relaxing and she took her time to make sure everything was perfect. The massage chair is also very comfortable. Made an appointment the day before for a Thursday at 5:30. I was on time and still had to wait 15 minutes. Just 2 customers and 3 technicians(1 of them the manger/owner's sister) 2 techs working on 1 customer and manager on another/manicure. Finally, the Manager called Agoura location and got someone to come in who did my pedicure. She did a rush job, didn't shorten my nails to length I asked for and most importantly kept digging & pounding into my cuticles with force. I had to tell her that I am in pain and to slow down, use less pressure. My toe nails were sensitive for days. Floors were dusty and towels not that new considering they just opened, they bring out hot towels in same plastic basket as they carry dirty ones away. Technicians didn't have good personal hygiene. The photos posted by the salon is not the product I received. Sad and disappointing. When I could see the work was not going well, I asked Helen to fix one of the nails. Even though she worked on it, it wasn't any better. She should focus on hiring proficient nail techs to do the work instead of trying to do it herself. I would rather wait or have to make an appointment than pay the full price + tip and have a disappointing product. I'm just really bummed as I wanted to like this place. read more

Just went here today for the first time. They were SO wonderful! it was quiet, clean, and the ladies were so welcoming. I got a gel manicure and it was one of the best I have had in a LONG time. I went to a nail spa not too long ago elsewhere and they did not even clip a cuticle - they literally painted me and sent me out the door. The ladies took their time, cleaned my nails up meticulously, and painted my nails perfect. I cannot wait to go back and make this my routine nail spot! read more

I don't get to do my nails often, so when i do i have an idea I've thought about for awhile. I asked for a thin cut coffin shape and since it was my first time , just a simple almond cut French tip paint job. This is not what I received. From the beginning i showed a photo , and politely attempted to ask to make adjustments to better match the photo i presented. Even though my mentions during shaping made me receive an attitude, i tried to trust maybe it would get better at the paint job and it did not. I just tried to explain to her how much pink-to-white ratio i wanted , (i have an event at 8am tomorrow morning) and was met with more attitude and the third time she cut me off, i had to tell her to take off all of the product that i was not happy with how it was turning out. She proceeds to tell me "I should've said that sooner" referring to when she was shaping. Your time is not more valuable than theirs here and it showed in my first appointment. The phone was also ringing off the hook, so if you called this shop today you were definitely ignored. Edit: mind you, I walked in to an empty shop at 3:35, and all that drama I did not get to leave until 6:15. and the type of salon to charge "extra for French tip" instead of a color if that doesn't say more. I recently moved into the area and I'm so glad I found this place! It nice and clean and made me feel relaxed. Tu did my gel x and he was amazing and made sure I really got what I wanted. Went there and got a gel x manicure which i loved but 3 of my nails fell off after less than a week. I called and told them and they offered to fix them so i went back. Well fixing them was actually worse. I asked for the exact same thing that I got the first time but this time it was completely butchered and my nails were not even half as good as they were the first time. Not to mention the entire time i was there they were rude and seemed unwilling to fix the service that they messed up and that was payed for.
