This is the worst unprofessional emissions and safety place I've ever been at. First of all their website says they opens at 8:00am and on their business door as well. When I got there, no one was there and didn't come until well after 8:30 AM. to open. The guy that finally gets there to open up was so unprofessional and acted like he didn't to answer my questions about getting an inspection. I only asked what time was they gonna be open? All he could say was soon and that was well after 8:30 contrary to what their business hours indicated on the door. Staff could not be bothered. I've been using this location for years. Today the employee could not get his nose out of his phone. When he finally called my vehicle (no one else was waiting), he asked for my registration. I said it was in my truck and walked outside. He had my key in his hand. He never came out. So, I walked back in and took my keys and left. read more

First time I came for an inspection, I had a low blood sugar episode while waiting. The kind employee gave me a soda and I was much better. He made sure I was safe and looked after me like family. Was charged $10 for a tinted window fee. I've never paid a window tinting fee for this car at any place I've taken it to get inspected. When I questioned the charge, he said it doesn't matter how tinted the windows are. Mine are barely tinted and they came that way from the factory; it's a very light tint. He said they have to charge the $10 if the windows are tinted at all, even the slightest. He tried to convince me that everywhere would charge me that same $10 fee, yet I've had factory tinted windows on 3 vehicles for over 20 years and have NEVER once been charged a window tinting fee. I've also never brought any of my vehicles to DEKRA. I saved a lot of money by going elsewhere. This was my first time at DEKRA and it will be my LAST. As for everywhere charging me that $10 fee, that's definitely NOT true! I'll continue to have my cars inspected at Precision Tune Auto Care, Eastern Auto Spa, and/or Havoline because none of these places have ever charged me a window tinting fee. read more

They are suppose to at 8am....monday through friday...no one opened the shop till 8:30am. The owner has the mechanic/inspections guy handling uhaul pick ups...but he had to call the owner to get a walkthrough of how to do it! Take better care of your shop owner. It was about 9:30am and I thought I would stop by the Dekra Alamance Road location and get an inspection. NOBODY HOME! The place was completely closed up. No information as to when someone would be there. DEKRA is supposed to open at 8am...what happened? So, went on my way and returned about two hours later. Found out DEKRA IS STILL CLOSED! Very disappointed in the service.Told me that they would would have to send me to a different location because a dually wouldn't fit in there 10 foot wide bay doors and that they were told not to do them. A year ago they did the same inspection on the same truck without a problem. read more
