This place was so cool! But I'll start with why not 5 stars: The only reason I docked a star and really if I could have it would only have been half a star was the odor. I don't know if they own cats or what but the litter box smell was pretty overwhelming. It almost drove me away but I was excited to see this place. Now for the good stuff. This place is truly a gem in this city. The outside is so cute and catches the eye. I arrived on a beautiful sunny day and could hear festive tejano music playing. That really set the vibe. Inside was great! This store does specialize in tejano and conjuto etc but also has classic rock, some old country, soul and r&b, and more. They also have brand l new releases. They have multiple formats: vinyl, cd, cassette, 45s etc. In addition to music they have some other fun buys. There were cute stickers, coffee cups, tshirts and hats. Plenty of Selena swag. Taylor Swift swag. This is a woman owned business that has been passed down which I love. I spoke with the owner and she was so nice and helpful. If they didn't have what i was looking for she was ready to look it up and order it for me. I would absolutely recommend that everyone keep this local spot in business. I'm so impressed it's survived from the 60s. Great place.

Inside with wide selection of tejano CD's, Cassettes, Vinyl & a selection of other genres.

I've known about this record shop for a little bit and finally stopped by today. When me and my girlfriend went in we were greeted by the owner and we're kind of shown around to know where each genre is. Keep in mind that this is a majority tejano and latin music record shop, there is a section for other genres but it's a smaller (but still great) selection. They had just what we were lookin for and even something I personally wasn't expecting to find. The prices were pretty good price ranges and the owner gave us a little tour of her fathers office who passed a few years back but was heavily involved in Tejano music. If you love tejano music i'd HIGHLY recommend stopping by!

I have to leave a quick review of this AMAZING woman owned record shop! From the moment I stepped in to this amazing shop I felt so welcomed and so at home! The customer service here is UNMATCHED!! The owner was so sweet and nice and was just so excited for me to visit her shop. For record store day the ENTIRE STAFF was so welcoming and so sweet, never have I ever felt like I was hanging out with family at a record shop and this place made it feel just like that! Such an outstanding shop to visit!

I loved the atmosphere here! They do specialize in Tejano and Conjunto but they also carry a variety a stuff like new classic rock reissues, pop, r&b and more! You will also find a lot of nice gifts to take bike if you are visiting from out of town!

Came in to get my 2017 Fiesta Medal oh yeah a must have to any collection. This a nice hidden gem on the west side of san Antonio. If you're a collector of Records, CD, Cassettes and music. Come on by and check out their store. I'm coming back to get a few more records for my collection. The staff was super friendly and willing to answer my questions I had. Not all good things are bought online so drive on by and find something for your collection today.

Cool record store, friendly owner, and nice merch. Sifted through records with my husband. Even tho the signs outside say Tejano/Cojunto, etc... they have a little bit of everything. Owner was really nice, and offered to discount some records for us. We chatted awhile, and even got to hear a couple ghost stories! Will be back when I'm in town!

Once again Fernanda put together a smooth running event. I do love this event…read more I shop here regularly. So, the opportunity to come & show them more love is okay by me. Their volunteers are always so helpful & knowledgeable. Its why I come back. Well, & the books. I came this time wanting cookbooks. I hadn't ever looked at their selection before. I collect vintage cookbooks, (yes, I use them too. ), I was happy to see the selection they had. I'll be back to look. Definitely adding this area to my focus. Right around the corner from the cookbooks are the vintage books. Well, they had this wonderful little Dick Tracy book. I knew it was coming home with me. Then, when I went to psy they were going to give me the Dick Tracy one. I told them no, I wanted to pay for it, it gives them the money. Isn't that the point!?

The staff truly made the visit even better. Everyone was kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help or just chat, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal.

Hence, "The Rock and Roll Fleamarket" every few months on Southtown 101 Bar's parking lot. Although there are a few vendors you can still find collectibles, rarities and other items of interest at fair or competitive prices. Items for the most part are geared towards people with tastes in classic horror films, rare vinyl and other rock and roll memorabilia. For example I bought a copy of John Carpenter's debut film, "Dark Star" on VHS for a buck. I found a few cool concert tees that I will eventually cut out and sew onto hoodies. The degree of the inventory you will find is always contingent on the weather. When it's cold the vendors are sparse. But in the Spring booths are more abundant. The crowd ranges from curious Southtown dwellers, crusty punks, metal heads, record collectors and everyone in between. Vendors, who are typically local artists will work with you on prices. In addition the bar is open early on this event with music on the patio, serving drinks and cooking up burgers. It has a Second Saturday feel with a friendly vibe. I really like this small, local market event. Although it occurs every few months it is still worth checking out. Whether you're looking for vinyl to add to your collection, gotta have your horror film fix or trying to jazz up your style with a little R-n-R this might be your place. Parking can be interesting but is still worth it. ps. You know you need that "Slayer" banner to accompany your armoire in your living room ASAP!

There's all kinds of vendors doing their side hustle, selling old VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs and other rock n roll. There's plenty of artsy kinda rock n roll stuff to check out here too. Need pins to put on your leather jacket? They have protest pins for every possible cause. They sell patches to put on your sleeve to show how tough you are at the next Motley Crue concert. There's always fun stuff you can get here to look like a real punk badass in the mosh pit at the next concert. There's usually a few old concert tee shirts for sale, and lots of prints and depictions of rock legends. However, for my tastes, there's never enough paintings of Elvis on black velvet. The fleamarket is held occasionally in the parking lot of the Southtown 101 Bar. They usually blast some heavy metal music, and it's a fun way to find that KISS statue you know you always wanted, or that Gwar mask that would complete your rock n roll ensemble.
