My wife and I lived here for 3 yrs before a new job was too far for daily commute, otherwise we'd be here longer! If you're wanting peace of mind, reliable staff, security, community, and comfort, I highly recommend Del Oro on Broadway Apartments. Alba has been with us from the start, she's always on top of communication answering all of our questions and concerns. Pete and Ruben are the friendliest grounds keepers and always will help with anything. These apartments are very well maintained, professionally cleaned and sanitized before move in and move out. It's very modern and roomy. Should anything need immediate maintenance they have onsite maintenance there 24/7. That also means if someone trips an alarm or something by accident you won't hear it for hours. Its a very nice gated community with surveillance cameras everywhere and on site patrol at night. The heating and a/c are top notch as well as all the other appliances. We rarely ran into issues but if we did it was fixed super fast. The staff have special events every so often for children as well as free pizza or raffles to win things like full thanksgiving meals, etc. Parking is great theres plenty for cars needing charging stations or cover. The amazon package hub and mail are very secure, easy to use. We had two dogs and it was easy to get them to the designated dog pen. Its all kept very clean! There are so many amazing places nearby to eat and the bay is just up the street! If you're nervous to apply like we were because we had a lot going on at the time that sounded complicated to explain, just try! The staff are very understanding and will try to help you succeed. We are very thankful for the chance we had. There really isn't anything negative to report, we loved this apartment and they were always fair never asking for large increases in rent renewals. They also give plenty of advance notice for fire alarm testing, main hallway carpet cleaning, elevator maintenance, and any in unit quick inspections for yearly fire sprinkler upkeep that is just fast in and out look. Best place to live in the area! I've lived at Del Oro for a year now and just renewed my lease :) The front office staff and maintenance team are all exceptional people! They are all very friendly, professional, and hardworking; they have also gone out of their way to help me a few times which was so nice! The grounds are always kept clean, it's secure and quiet. There is also roaming security at night which is a bonus. The apartments are beautiful and it's really nice to be able to enjoy a pool, jacuzzi, gym, and clubhouse. I came to the San Diego area for temporary work. When searching for an apartment del oro on Broadway came up with all the criteria I needed in an apartment. I met with Alba the leasing manager for a tour. She is by far the most helpful and friendly person I have had the pleasure of working with. After her tour I looked at other apartments and wanted to take another look at the unit available. She took time again to show me the available unit. Needless to say I signed the lease. The apartment complex is kept very clean and the staff is very friendly and available for any needs you may have. The complex sits right on Broadway and within a 2 block radius there's all kinds of shops around including Walmart Costco target grocery stores etc. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking for an apartment in the chula vista area. read more

I am a disabled Vietnam vet with PTSD and severe Osteoarthritis in my spine and hips which limits my mobility. The manager Alba Ingram has been so great by getting me an apartment close to the elevator as well as a parking space underground close to the exit so I don't have to walk to far. She is kind and compassionate lady. I also want to mention that Ruben the maintenance manager helped me with my TV set up because I also have Glocoma and can't read small print. I like the tranquility this complex offers with a well gated living area, Amazon hub option for package receiving, cleanliness to the minimum detail. If you're looking for a beautiful, modern, well secured apartment complex, Del Oro on Broadway should at the very least, be on your list of homes to check out. Not only are the floor plans spacious and well thought out, but the appliances, flooring, and lighting are beautiful. The apartments are very well lit, as there is plenty of natural light. There are window treatments, in the form of large shades, installed, which is so convenient...also a money saver. The parking spaces are large and plentiful. The complex is not at full capacity so that could change once every apartment has been filled, but I don't think it will be a problem. The grounds are well-kept and everything is brand new. There's a nice pool and hot tub with bathrooms near by. The pool also has a setup for those who are disabled. The neighbors are very friendly. I think the smaller apartment complex (around 80 units) maintains a sense of community because everyone says hello to one another, which has been lost in larger apartment communities. The gym is huge and offers a large selection of free weights, bands, machines, to include treadmills, stairclimbers, and cables. All state of the art. The staff is awesome. They set the bar high. Alba helped us with the move-in process. She was sweet, authentic, helpful, and responsive throughout the entire process. Julian is definitely a veteran property manager. He puts the resident first, is very responsive, and it's obvious to me that he loves his job as well as the property. It's very refreshing. My apartment feels like it's brand new and we feel extremely comfortable and safe. My husband and I moved in from long distance, site unseen, two weeks ago. Alba and Julian were fantastic to work with as were making our decision and are a huge part of why we chose Del Oro. Finding great management staff is not easy! Props to Del Oro on that! Our property maintenance guy Josh has been wonderful as well. Always attentive, with an eye for the smallest detail, taking pride not only in his work but in the the property as if he owned it himself. He is always to see us. We have a great view from our patio of Coronado bridge and the city and the grounds are always well kept. There were no corners cut here, the appliances are gorgeous along with the quality and style of each unit. There are even community events. This place is amazing! Although the prices might be a little high they are completely worth it. This community is one of the safest I have ever been to as it is completely gated. Surprisingly, although it is in one of the busiest areas of Chula Vista, there are plenty of parking spaces for even guests. Staff is very helpful and they completely make the move-in process a lot easier. Really looking forward to living a couple of years on Del Oro. The worst possible first impression of San Diego area. By the way of background, my wife and I relocated here one year ago and throughout our tenure at Del Oro we experienced: * An array of noise hazards and nuisances * A couple of citations for my service animal * Accusations * Hope for a dog park that just never came "Every week it seems like a different ******* sound" My pregnant wife would tell me at 6 o clock in the morning on a Saturday. Seeing that this is a new property, it appeared to us that the construction never stopped. A few instances of these noise hazards I spoke of included jackhammering (for as long as 8 hours over the duration of four days) were the following: *Pool flooring *Electrical Transmitter Installation *The destruction of a concrete wall (currently ongoing at 11:41 on Saturday 17 Nov 2018) Nuisances included: * A church next door that amplifies their music EVERY Sunday at 10:00, 12:00 and EVERY Wednesday at 18:00 * The pressure washing of buildings at 6:30 in the morning on a Saturday. ***Side Note: Sorry for cursing you out and yell at you to come back later*** When coupled landscaping, the weekly cleaning of the only community grill, or the occasional screaming of children at the pool, you may be able to understand my frustration; particularly after a 72 hour work week. "Wait! I'm getting a citation for having positive control of my service animal? I swear to ******* God I will sue this guy" Long hours came with the territory of my trade in Naval Special Operations, and it also came with a few other sacrifices along the way. By the way of background, my service dog knows my temperament and keeps me rational. She is trained to sit and stay by my side, and will not break command unless directed by me. I respect communities that ask for dogs to be kept on a leash, because it merely protects the property in an instance were a dog were to run lose and attack someone. To me...it's a liability aspect, and properties protect themselves from this liability if they have their tenants sign a paper stating that they will maintain positive control of their animal. I will even go as far as respecting someone that gives me a verbal warning if I had an off leash dog that randomly goes up to other people and dogs to start sniffing them. But to give me a citation for taking my dog outside at 2:00 in the morning, without a leash, within my positive recall distance is benign to me. Meaning someone either saw me or you have some time on your hands to review video tapes. You may be wondering if my dog sniffed anyone or attacked anyone or I even went as far as letting anyone pet her...the answer is no to all of them. My dog minds her business, and during our stay at Del Oro I strived far to mind my own as well. "Just call him 'principal', I feel like I'm in high school anyway" We've transitioned from owning to renting when we left Virginia. There is trust that goes towards my tenant that is currently renting our house, and more often than not I am not trying to prevent crises from happening if the tenant never presented an issue in the first place. Further, I'm not trying to create issues out of things that are not an issue at all. * An example of creating an issue out of nothing, is calling my wife and accusing her for not picking up after my dog. Followed by the catch phrase "I'm not accusing you or anything, I don't have any proof." *An example of a tenant never presenting an issue in the first place, is having the property manager inspecting my dwelling prior to vacating it and exclaiming that it is estimated to take the least amount of effort, because it was well taken care of. In closing, there is no dog park. There hasn't been one in our year of being here. What came in it's place, are signs telling you to keep the dog away and I advise you to follow suit. We love living here!!! We have an autistic son who takes the trash out, apparently he wasn't getting it in the dumpster all the way. Instead of Julian yelling at him and saying what are you doing? I relocated from the East Coast in January using the website application process to pick an apartment and apply for the lease. Two days after I applied, I received a email letting me know i was approved. I called and spoke to Alba, she notified me I qualified for an additional discount. Two weeks later I arrived in San Diego and moved in to my new apartment. All appliances are new and very good quality, I love the Central air, dishwasher and washer and dyer in the unit. The gym is open 24/7 are rarely crowded and the longe, pool area are very nice. I love the convenience of the elevator and covered parking garage. I can honestly say "these are the best apartments In Chula Vista". The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day. The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to your needs. Recently went and did a tour of the property. Management staff was wonderful and helpful in answering all of my questions. The property is Modern, Eco-friendly and well-designed. I would say this Property is a hidden gem in the heart of Chula Vista that is close to the freeway, stores (Wal-Matt, Costco, Etc) and parks. The drive from Del Oro to Mission Beach was only about 10 minutes. I'm going to recommend this property to all my friends and family!
