This is such a wonderful piece of artwork in Deland. The artist who created this is extremely talented. It's something to see when in Deland, and a great place to take the little ones to get their pictures. To the artist who created this. I would like to thank you for doing so. Your a gift to the city, and all those who come here to see your work. You have blessed each and everyone of us with you gift.

Lovely maintained home with so much history. Who visited, who contributed to the building and maintenance of the home, the restoration efforts. It was fascinating. We happened to be there on a day when they received a gift of an original Edison grammaphone with the beeswax songs in paper wrappers! And it actually worked! Amazing. Also loved the Louis Comfort Tiffany windows - just gorgeous!

I was just as surprised to learn that the famed hat-maker once called the small town of DeLand, FL home. I happened to be visiting during peak manatee season and so had the privilege of being able to still enjoy the mansion during its special holiday tour season. During the holiday tour, each room of the mansion has a unique theme to it that you get to learn all about from your helpful docent. Not only do you get to the enjoy the wonderful story of that room's decorations theme but the history of the home and family is wonderfully blended in. I'm told that obviously during the regular historical tour you dive deeper but I left learning waaaaay more about the Stetson family than I ever expected (or knew). The home is privately owned and you the love and passion the new owners have for the historic property is evident in every room. We even had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners (the super sweet and DeLand native, Kayla) I was surprised to learn she had even created many of the decorations herself that adorned the opulent rooms in the mansion. The Stetson Mansion is a great example of one of the many historical gems tucked away in Florida small towns that you can stumble upon when exploring the state. Whether you're doing the regular history tour or holiday tour, you're sure to have a fabulous visit to the Stetson Mansion.

Are you happy? Mad? Sad? Bored? Content? Flustered? Free? Annoyed?…read more Well with this place, it honestly doesn't matter! I'm not an angry person, but it felt sooooooo good coming here and damaging things. We paid $109 for three people to rage for thirty minutes. We got soooooooo many items to damage. Some glass I threw at the wall. Other glass got hit with cane or metal bat. Yup, you read that right- a cane!! We even got some large items to damage. It was a plethora of things to destroy. So much that we forgot to damage some. Thankfully the staff was nice enough to give us an additional three minutes to damage as much as we could. Clearly, being destructive was the highlight of my night, but I'm going to try them again for their arcade. I'm also going back because the service was A1! The family was personable, knowledgeable and just a great family to be around. They actually played a prank on me- such a wonderful time! It is obvious they are doing some upgrades and will only get better. Try them out for date night, your birthday or after a long Monday. It's honestly never a bad time to go! Think about as self care and releasing whatever it is you need to release (if you don't think you need to release anything, release some of that happiness and share it with the world as you demolish glass pieces). 10/10. Highly reccomend!

This year the event was held on April 12, and went from 1pm into 1am the next morning. The event encompasses Florida Ave, Woodland Blvd., and Alabama Ave. Between Rich Ave. And Howry Ave. There were 20 stages and 140 acts, so lots to see and experience. There was so many genres of music to choose from: Folk, Rock, Punk Rock, Bluegrass, Hip Hop, Rap, Country, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Americana, grunge, alternative, and so much more. The only thing bad about the event is that it only takes place on one day versus the whole weekend. Regardless, it's definitely worth modifying your weekend to stop by. Tickets to the event were $15 each if you buy them online, but $20 day of the event. You could still attend if you didn't by tickets but many of the main stages had staff and volunteers preventing entry without a wrist band. You could however still see many of the bands in the open public areas and at local restaurants/bars that were sponsoring the event. There wasn't a lot of food trucks but they really were not needed because there are so many good restaurants in the area they can easily accommodate the crowds. There were a lot of vendors selling artwork, crafts, jewelry, and other items you typically see at other festivals like this one. Most of not all of the musicians were selling merchandise too. Parking was tricky when we arrived but we found an open spot in the municipal center parking lot. We stayed here for a little over 5-hours. I would have liked to stay longer but we had other obligations. If the event was happening on Sunday too I would have made an effort to come back out. All-in-all, the event is well worth the trip out to DeLand if you're not from the area. DeLand is an awesome town and I love coming to events like these. I look forward to returning to the DeLandApalooZa next year.

The time was from noon until 11:00 p.m. at night. We did about 5 hours. I really liked it checked out a bunch of bands had some ice cream and awesome tacos at the end of the night. Parking is free and one of the parking lots. Cost was $15 and they give you a map and the map list all the bands and the times they play. Definitely a must see if you're in the area They do it once a year. This was the 13th year. My favorite band of the day was called J and the 9s.

It's definitely a more independent feel so it doesn't have the upscale and super fancy decorations or setup. They could use a little more attention to detail as the area was definitely not taken care of in a while. They also have batting cages and go karts. We saw a rock wall advertised but they told us that it doesn't exist any more. It still had video games and food so it's a quick trip with lots of options for kids.

Staff stated each person must sign the Family Fun Town liability form electronically. Without it, they can't even remain on the property. We responded "surely my mom and stepdad could sign a paper consent form as they don't want their names and address being used on the internet. We then asked, may we speak to the manager? We again explained all we had discussed. She replied, "we don't have or allow paper consent forms." Followed by "It is what it is". At this point our 5 year old grandson was informed that we must all leave because his two great grandparents do not use the internet and have no email addresses. My concern is that Orange City Florida likely has many individuals whom are not internet trusting or savvy. I found this to be an easily resolvable issue, with unyielding management.

Moving from Grand Rapids recently, and following mustard plug since I was in high school (long time ago haha) I couldn't miss this show with VooDoo. love that they make it to Florida. Had never been to DeLand, but once we got here, and saw the Venue we were pleasantly surprised. The check in process was flawless, and they had a massive food truck with tons of wonderful options. They had an outdoor and indoor bar, fully staffed, with lots of drink options. The bar is very punk rock, with lots of nostalgic memorabilia hanging from the walls. Lots of neon with the angst of chaos amongst the stickers and art. I felt very at home, and this was the perfect venue to host ska music. I highly recommend people to take the time to appreciate the love they have put into this place that's hidden down the alley of this beautiful small town. Overall, a must whether it's a concert, beer or quick bite to eat. Super casual and fun, and also a perfect place to just hang out and shoot a game of pool with friends.
