Scorching heat today! Nice to have a cold beverage. I got the Mocha Chiller 12 oz. Perfect for this kind of weather. I like this plaza because there's lots of seats to relax in and some muskoka chairs. This coffeeshop has lots of seats too including patio ones in the front and is attached to the public library. The place is generally clean. Big windows to let that cool mountain air breeze in. I like coming here on Sundays to relax and chill. There's other restaurants nearby and plenty of parking. They have a lot of choices for beverage, hot or cold, as well as pastries to choose from. read more

This is a nice coffee shop in the area. I ordered a latte and a pumpkin spice cookie for an afternoon snack. Latte tasted as expected and was smooth without a bitter aftertaste. The pumpkin spice cookie was alright. It was chewy and reminiscent of a gingerbread cookie. Service was fast. read more

This place is mainly a coffee place. We had ordered their panini sandwich for lunch. I had it toasted as it tasted better on a cold day. Nothing wowing about the sandwich. Since we're not coffee drinkers, we had herbal tea which they offer a few choices. They also offer other sweet treats. There's both indoor and outdoor seating even on a cold day. Tomato in sandwiches were not fresh the bread was stale. The service was okay. The ambiance is stale and boring. I ordered a large Americano coffee with oat milk no foam as I watch the barista making it she sneezed and never stopped what she was doing to sneeze away from the coffee machine or attempt to wash her hands. Then handed me my $7.00 dollar coffee that has been sneezed on. That was it for me I won't go back. read more

If you don't know that this place is here, then you can easily miss it because unlike other businesses it doesn't have a bright, colorful sign. It's "tucked away" in the back part of Lynn Valley Village just on the pathway that leads to the bus stop (210, 227) and right next to the library. It is very nice that it has two entrances (one from the outside and one from a pathway that connects to the library. Now I have been here twice but only once was I able to secure a beverage. I ordered a chai latte (my go-to drink for my first visit to a new shop) and I was eager for it to be in my hands cause it was a cold, wet day and to me, that's the perfect scenario for a nice hot drink. The moment my fingers gingerly wrapped around the cup (I was careful cause it was hot and all) I felt an instant warmth start to fill my hands. Once I was able to sip it, I searched for the spice that usually comes with a chai latte but that was probably my own mistake because I had asked for it to be slightly sweetened. It was still good and I would order it again. Overall, I had a great experience. If you're looking for a quaint coffee shop, then this is the place for you. Though, I couldn't find a wifi network so I don't think it's very conducive for working. read more

So I'm visiting Vancouver, specifically North Vancouver; and have a little bit of time to kill... This for me, means coffee! Upon reviewing the choices, including a Starbucks nearby, I choose you Pikachu, Delany's Coffee House. In the same general area as the Lynn Valley Centre, is a unassuming coffee shop, next to the library. Lots of parking and looking at it, you feel It's warm setting, and perfect for a sip of bean-based golden brew. Seating can be rough, especially on a cold day, families and friends look to find a comfy seat(s) within. Once down, it's a cozy comfortable shoppe, with everything you expect. The coffee is good and balanced, the flavors are good, and the service is on point. They were friendly, and smiling, and welcomed a conversation. I can't say anything for the food, doesn't look like it is prepared there, the food prep is only visibly suited for coffee, and coffee shop related drinks.i did see plenty of people scarfing down food, so that indicator would be, it's probably not bad. You can sneak complementary WiFi from the library, if you are in the right seat, or Shaw internet seems to be around for subscribers. I think if I'm in this area again, I would not hesitate to stop on by, get a coffee, and just relax. Great place! read more

While visiting Vancouver, my boyfriend and I got a caramel macchiato w/almond milk + croissant breakfast sandwich and it was very delicious! It wasn't too sweet (ideal), and a hint of espresso-coffee flavor was still there and not overpowered by the milk. We came by the next day for the same two drinks before heading back to California. One of the female employees that rang us up the first morning seemed to not enjoy her job and was seemingly uninterested, but the second day we came in another female employee was in a better mood so that made up for the previous day. This coffee location is located in a mini outdoor mall/shop center, Lynn Valley Centre. It's not easy to see when driving around the area, but we stumbled across it while walking around the neighborhood. This coffee place provides a nice touch to the mall area, providing indoor seatings and outdoor seatings. Multiple areas chairs to sit, many tables available for eating, studying, or lounging. There is also a parking garage that we used. read more

This shop is in the charming Lynn Valley Village. It's big and bright with lots of tables outside, the customer service is always friendly and polite and the cafe is right next to the entrance to the fabulous Lynn Valley, North Van library. If you need wireless, just pick up the library signal. I've had their Cappuccino's too many times to count and as much as I appreciate the effort and service, the espresso and coffee both lack pizazz for me now. I usually need to ask for an extra shot to boost it. When I'm in the area with our hiking group, I will still choose Delany's, but I don't know if they changed or my coffee pallet has become more discerning. The hot chocolate has dairy in it, sad for me, but I'm so delighted that the manager of this Delany's brought in some Non gluten, non dairy Peanut butter dark chocolate chip cookies. What a nice surprise! They are tasty and not too expensive either. This is a great gathering place for large groups, just scoop some tables and chairs together. After a hike, many times we've arrived at the village to find locals relaxing at the outdoor tables in the sun at Delany's. Shoppers with their dogs leashed at their feet, all enjoying the ambiance that this cafe brings. read more

Im a pretty easy reviewer when it comes to coffee shop. As long as they provide me with a good coffee and a great service, im a pretty content customer. Delany's in Lynn Valley was a nice place to visit. Theres a library nearby which makes it a convenient place to just relax and read a book. There was plenty of seating and great friendly service. The prices are reasonable and comparable to starbucks. So no big savings there, but the choices of food items are slightly different. So when you wanna stray away from the norm, Delany's offers a great choice. I myself got a large latte and it was great! It did what it was suppose to do, which is to wake me up. Will I buy here again? Most definitely, especially when they are nearby. Hope this helps! Dave M read more

Primo location, crappy wifi, okay service, good coffee. This coffee house is in Lynn Valley Village, next to the public library; it's not visible from the road when you're driving. The plaza has free underground parking for three hours, which is a plus. Just make sure you still go to the machine and log in your license plate number! Once I went up to the ground floor and found the cafe, I first thought it was a nice space of decent size and various seating availability (bar, high tables, and regular tables with booths). I grabbed one of the high tables, and I appreciated that the accompanying chairs have rotating seats! As a short person, I have to squirm and writhe into and out of chairs that I like to place close to the table, so the fact that I can place it as close as I want to the table and still easily get into and out of the seat was a welcome sight and favor to my tush. I ordered a misto, which is steamed milk with tea or cappuccino. I chose to get one with cappuccino, and it was pretty good. Not a cappuccino or misto connoisseur, so can't say much else about that. The area where the employees work is elevated; similar to a pharmacy. Not necessarily a good or bad thing, just unexpected in a cafe. I wish the employees would be slightly more professional. The guy that was taking orders was shouting to a friend of his who was standing at the doorway of the cafe, and the barista that made my drink was sort of glaring at me as I came up to grab my order. Not exactly sure what I might've done to elicit the glare... I asked an employee if they had a password for their wifi, and she told me that they use the library's wifi, but I wish they would buck up and pay for their own network. It was ridiculously slow and at times got so sluggish that pages wouldn't load and my browser would say the computer wasn't connected to the internet. **Note: The bin to put your used cups and plates that go back is next to the espresso machine on the side of the wall that borders the library. read more

Everything was awesome until I saw our barista pick his nose... I've been to this Delaney's in Lynn Valley Center several times and never experienced that sight. Service was cheerful but the time between ordering and receiving drinks was a bit lengthy. Americano's tasted decent. Thick and creamy as I like them. Atmosphere is nice, good music playing inside and a great patio to sit on in the square. Nice for people watching if the sun is out. It's convenient for dog owners who want to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Just a little erk'd because of the barista incident. I'll come back here...but won't forget that sight. read more

I had a white mocha americano. It was quite delicious, although they screwed up on the size. They may have even added too much syrup as I only asked for 1 pump of white mocha. However, although my drink was a little too sweet, it was also good. Perhaps the espresso shot was a little sweeter compared to starbucks. I'd give it another shot. read more

My husband loves Delany's mochas so we're at the Lynn Valley Delany's a lot. It must be the chocolate whipped cream on top. I'm a fan of any coffee place that can make my soy hazelnut latte seem *creamy* and this Delany's consistently delivers. The baristas are super-nice and patient with coffee-ordering newbies. :) Good luck with trying to find some place to sit when the weather is nice though! If you do manage to snag a table, the view of the plaza is kind of concrete but that's no fault of Delany's! read more

Delany's has about 5 or 6 locations on the North Shore and in Vancouver. The owners and management seem to do a pretty good job keeping the place neat and tidy and it seems to be a hit with the people who frequent their locations. The one in Lynn Valley is closest to me and is ideally situated at the new Lynn Centre. Great loaction next to a library and, if you're into yoga, a Y-Elements Studio. Indeed, there seems to be a great number of people dressed in Lulu Lemon wear. The coffee is good and there is a good selection of sandwiches and baked goods. A little pricey though. Lots of seating indoor and out. Good place to meet friends and enjoy a cup. read more

A fantastic place to enjoy a coffee or sandwich. If you have never been to Lynn Valley Village, check it out, you'll love it.

Simple design, however, how this place won my heart is that on a super sunny day like today which is a rarity in the city, it had lots of windows and the sun was shinning inside which made it nice to sit and have my tea and bathe in the sun shine through the windows. The over use of windows worked for this place and made me feel good to sit inside. Customer service was awesome and the prices were fair. This is located inside Lynn Valley Village. read more

My friend and I popped in to grab iced drinks but since we didn't have lunch we grabbed sandwiches.We both had the pulled pork sandwiches which were absolutely lovely. The ice drinks were decent but not as fresh as I hoped. The location is in a decent space and on a sunny day sit outside and soak up the sun. This was our favourite little stop on weekends for a coffee and a bite to eat, but after a few visits lately I have to say some of the female employees at this location are really rude, abrupt, impatient and obviously don't know how to smile. Especially referring to one with big eyelashes... can't get a smile out of her no matter what. She comes across as really rude and unprofessional. Used to be a super friendly place. On the upside, we still love the location, especially with seating outside in the summer, and the sandwiches and coffee are delish. read more

My friend and I had lunch here today, Sept 10, 2014. I was in the line after her, but it was clear that her order had gone astray as mine was in the toaster, but no sign of my friend's lunch. Time went by, we asked where was her lunch? One of the servers rescued her order on a small piece of paper where it was floating around behind the counter and explained that they were training and had 3 managers in?? An odd explanation!! Perhaps it takes 3 managers to screw up things. My friend asked for a comment card so she could post feedback. She was told they didn't exist and was given a cardboard cup warmer to write her comments. Come on Delaneys.... . The serving staff were not well trained in customer service...no smiles..no greetings etc etc. My friend was given a free coffee card to assuage her aggravation which it didn't. read more

I have certainly enjoyed many mornings here, and sometimes come and sit in the morning doing my studies while enjoying their their west coast wrap and mocha chiller. These are hands down my favourite items although I should add that their mocha chiller is quite delicious - I would highly recommend it (the chocolate whip cream is the best). I have found the staff to be very friendly and and always leave me with a smile on my face. read more

I go here with my friends all the time. The service is excellent and the hot chocolate is amazing! The big soft cookies are the best that I have ever had. I also Like that it is not very expensive. The people that work there are very nice and seem to like their job and the quality of the drinks is great. Good place to go get a drink or snack on your way home from work or school. read more
