Today's visit for me was a follow-up appointment to recheck how my dry-eye treatment was progressing. My first two appts were with Dr. Ridge (who is no longer with this office). I had looked forward to being seen by him again, as his natural manner gave me hope. Dr. Riego was nice enough, but quickly extinguished my hope that my ongoing self-treatments of my dry eyes would restore them to the point of being able to wear contacts again. I do not lay blame on this doctor for his diagnosis - my situation is what it is, he merely spoke the truth based on his expertise. My only other objection was the doctor's mask wearing. I have mental (or emotional?) difficulty looking at someone who is wearing a mask. I felt as though he was talking more to the assistant in the room than to me. Though my hearing is quite good, I find it easier to understand a person talking to me when I have lips and facial expressions to read. I'm not asking that he removes the mask. If it makes him comfortable - by all means, he should be allowed to wear it. But, if I were given the option of seeing a doctor who does not wear one, I would prefer that. read more

I had my first visit to Delaware Vision Care today. I typically just go to the eye doctor once a year for my annual eye exam and to get new frames. I do not wear contacts so I can not speak to this service. The office does feel a little outdated but the staff and doctor were very friendly. I got in quickly and was lucky to find a spot right out front to park. Downtown Delaware can be a hard place to find parking. They had a nice selection of frames to choose from. The staff worked with me to get everything I needed selected for my new set of glasses. I can not wait for them to come in. I took a pic though that I will attach to my review. They are very fun and modern. read more

Established in 1995.

Delaware Eye Center is the most recent expansion of Marion Eye Center. In 2019, Marion Eye Center inherited the Delaware, Ohio ophthalmic medical and surgical practice of Ronald Smith, MD upon his retirement. Dr. Smith left a good legacy of quality, ethical eye care that we intend to continue. Marion Eye Center began as a medical, laser and surgical eye care practice with two physicians. We have added services, surgical expertise and enlarged our facility over the years to become a multi-doctor ophthalmologic practice that provides a full array of eye care services. Maintaining our original Christian ethic of quality service and care has followed our expansion and is of the utmost importance to our ongoing business model.

You guys! These are the best glasses I have ever had. I know it's only been a few days, but WOW what a difference a good thorough exam, expert recommendations on lens size, and some sweet frames make. I'm astounded... Dr. Mihaly, Sam, Leslie... thank you! I read for a living and I read for pleasure and I have been miserable for some time and frustrated that my eyes got so tired so fast - vision became blurry after short periods and I would have to look far away frequently to let my eyes rest. Since putting these on, I haven't had one blurry moment. My screen is clear, books are too, and I haven't even used my magnifier at all this week. For several years now I have had various eye issues, and Dr. Gaudio has always helped me get better. I have had an eye infection, dry eyes from CPAP therapy, a scratched cornea from working outside, an eyelash growing the wrong way, and now chronic dry eye disease. Dr. Gaudio is very knowledgeable. He and his staff are kind, and have always treated me very well, working me in when I was in distress, and always listening like they really care about their patients. Most recently Lesley has spent a lot of time helping me find ways to afford my medication. I can't wait until I can walk into the office and actually look for a pair of glasses! :-) read more
