Been coming here for 5 years and I'm officially done. This place has gone completely downhill. The cashiers are young, rude, clueless, and act like helping customers is the biggest inconvenience in the world. Half the time they're standing around talking while customers wait forever. The phone service is an absolute joke. You get put on hold for 20-30 minutes just to ask a simple question, and then they come back with an attitude like YOU bothered THEM. The pharmacist acts overwhelmed and disorganized constantly, also a rude dick. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be, nobody communicates with each other, and every visit turns into unnecessary stress. What happened to professionalism? This is a pharmacy, not a high school hangout spot. The staff acts annoyed anytime someone asks a question, and the customer service is honestly embarrassing. I've had better experiences at busy chain pharmacies than this so-called "friendly neighborhood pharmacy." Honestly, I'm switching to CVS. It's closer, faster, and at least when employees have attitudes there, management actually steps in and fixes it. Here, the bad attitudes are apparently encouraged because nobody does anything about it. And CVS calls you to tell them they have your medications and then call you when they're ready. Here, you have call them. You wonder why you're losing business? This is exactly why. The ownership changes constantly, employees don't care, and the whole place feels poorly managed. I give this place maybe 3 more years before it either gets sold again or shuts down completely. You'd think they'd read these and take them into account and learn from them, but NO! they think they're doing you a favor. We're right, you're wrong. What do you expect on Staten Island? This is why mom and pop businesses are going under and everyone would rather shop online just not to hear people's attitudes. Keep having this mindset. They're also only kind to you if they know you personally, if they don't know you they don't care. I get a mild low dose benzo, but because this is Staten Island, junkies galore!, they just lump everybody into the same category. As long as your bottle has the orange label on it, you're going to be treated just the same as anyone who picks up Oxycontin. I especially don't have to tell them what my medical diagnosis is. I wasn't aware they were my physician. I could go on and on and on. One last thing: imagine dreading having to call this place because the nasty heifer that answers the phone, only a cashier btw, always asks you what you're looking for while smacking her gum. Rude much? I'm looking for your mother, whatever the doctor sent, you got my name, you see the prescriptions, why are you asking me. A joke. She isn't the owner, the pharmacist, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who has complained about her, yet, she's still there. This place will never do better, so don't waste your time. It's a shame. I support small businesses, but unfortunately, a lot of small businesses, especially on Staten Island, don't care. I guess because they're just miserable and arrogant to begin with and feel as if they got it like that and they're entitled to be a jerkoff because they're having a bad day. Imagine if we all did that because they're the only one'sallowed to have a bad day. I've worked in retail, personal stays personal, and most of all, the customer is always right. Do better. but you're not going to. Go to CVS, Walgreens, don't go through nonsense and get upset by these people just to get a medication. read more

Rude & unaccommodating. I spoke to two different people in this place attempting to get a prescription transferred. The first young lady, had me on hold excessively then sent me on a wild goose chase calling the other pharmacy for no reason. When I called back she was just as clueless when I asked her more questions on getting this taken care of. Another person, a man, then got on the phone & was outright rude. It's unfortunate that my attempt to support small & local business was met with such apathy, but I can see why places like this are going under. It's unfortunate, because the big chains cannot really compare to a family business that's run properly. read more

Delco Drugs is a full-service drug store, but I mainly use this for compounded medications. They are very efficient and call me to let me know if a prescription needs to be refilled or when a prescription is ready. They will even come out to the car to bring you your prescription (since the city put in meters for parking). read more

Robert is an extremely knowledgeable pharmacist, especially with compounding medication, which is almost a lost art with certain medicines. One and only time I used this place was because it was a compound pharmacy. My prescription was not covered by insurance which I expected. When I spoke to them, a woman on the phone asked if I wanted to double the order. Well I agreed because it would save me a trip next time, I do not live nearby. I picked up prescription, (liquid) paid cash for two orders, no problem. When I got home I read the sticker on the bottle. IT WILL EXPIRE IN ONE MONTH!! So they got me to agree to an order and a refill, so two orders, and one will be USELESS because it expires in a month. Plus used up one of my refills for what? NOTHING. I had to throw out the double bottle out at end of one month, wasted a months supply, wasted a refill, and wasted ALOT of money. It was an expensive compound prescription. Never again. This would never happen at CVS etc. read more

Have never had any issues with them, and their delivery is always on time. They're helpful with the insurance as well.

Rob was extremely rude to me I guess because IM NOT A REGULAR THERE. He didn't even greet me to busy talking to the girl behind me about her kids and already grab her medication to check her out even tho I was on line before her. He then very rudely told me to stand to the side while he took care of her. The other guy working there came over very nice and took care of me. Rob was rude disrespectful and offensive never again. I had to drive almost 45 mins to get here to be treated like that NO THANKS Eltingville can keep this "mom and pops" pharmacy... That's no way to treat any customer new old black or white period if I ever have to do business here I'll make sure I'll send one of my FAIR skinned family or friends in but I personally would never step foot in this place ever again. This was a good pharmacy before the new owner took over. I never had a problem with getting certain medications that were considered controlled medications that was prescribed to me for over 10 years that were not made available to me by the owner because he was choosing who he would and who we wouldn't dispense controlled substances too. I do understand that both doctors and pharmacist are under heavy scrutiny with the DEA yet you still have to treat people like human beings especially if you look at their backgrounds.I wouldn't do business with them ever again read more

I have been going to this place for about 10 years but no longer. The place is a scam. They don't fulfill prescriptions as stated on the prescription. They give you part of the prescription then try to make you pay the copay again when picking up the rest of the prescription. What they are doing is illegal. read more

They know their customers, will alert you to any potential drug interactions or concerns. They are solution focused and work to solve any challenges that arise, answer any questions or concerns.. If I could give it no stars I would. NEVER EVER use this pharmacy. The woman that works there is so incredibly rude, I do not understand how this place is still open. Dear pharmacist, if you're reading this please give your cashier the code to the equipment so that he can help customers when you go get meatballs across the street, leaving your pharmacy for 20 minutes. Also, please make sure your equipment is working so that you don't take your anger out on customers due to technical malfunction, causing you to not be able to eat those meatballs quickly enough. I know you're hungry, maybe have a snickers or try a get management. Last weekend I stopped hoping to get a $50 gift card. The cashier said he did not know the code to process gift cards and his boss (the pharmacist) stepped out for lunch and would be back in 2 minutes. 15 minutes later the pharmacist walks in, and tells me that gift cards are cash only (which was incorrect information. So I agree to pay cash. I bring him the gift card to be processed and his machine doesn't work, he asks me to bring another one. I bring him the second one and again, not working. I ask him how come I can't pay with my credit card and he says "because I have to charge a 3% fee". Which was totally fine with me, so I proceeded to bring him a THIRD gift card, which caused him to become extremely irate. He told me I would need to wait and went on to help the next customer who came after me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. read more

I had high hopes for this small mom and pop pharmacy when I dropped off my prescription after getting annoyed by my local Rite-aid. Here's the three strikes: claimed to have left me a voicemail when they were having an issue with an approval - but didn't. Girl at the counter calls me 'baby' when she greeted me. Can you imagine if I called her 'baby' when I greeted her? Finally, a gentleman walks in to have a document faxed and the bald guy tells him to come back later. Come back later to send a fax? When will these places understand that it's all about customer service? You need to provide an exceptional experience each time a client visits or we'll go 100' down the road to the next guy, especially given the parking issues here. Strike three, I'm out! read more

Not a great experience!!!! My child was sick so I had to run around to get the medicine that the doctor prescribed and apparently that's the only RX that had it... I've waited an hour just for them to tell me that my insurance does not cover the medication and I'm the one that had to call them or if I didn't want to deal with the insurance then I would just need to buy it for $250 what a great business read more

A little while back I walked into Delco Pharmacy (which I have used before) because cvs dis not have my pain medication. I just had a procedure done on both knees and have rheumatoid arthritis since I am 4. I went in with a paper prescription and explained the situation to the tech. She was a little abrupt and said I will let you know if I can fill this. As we were talking I said can I speak to the pharmacist bc I wanted to explain my situation. He said very loudly I dont want to hear your situation, I am not filling it get out of here. Leave. Exact words. I left very upset. I really struggled with posting this bc I am a very positive person, but I never want anyone to feel the way I did that day. I know pain medication is something that is abused by others, but I feel the pharmacist should have taken the time and asked my situation. For that I will never go in there again. It's such a shame too, they are a small business and I would love nothing more than to support a business owner. Shame on you. read more

This local Drugstore is FANTASTIC! They are old school and you can ask the druggist all your questions. I have autistic children. My daughter will not take medicine. They can turn many medicines into transdermal lotions. For younger children, they can make suppositories. For our family they have converted codine for dental work, zanex for the pre-dental work fear, and Cipro the antibiotic. And they deliver! I'm so glad I found them. I tell everyone I know about them. read more

I have had issues numerous times with the large pharmacies because they seem to never have my monthly medication in stock and I'm forced to wait days to have it ordered. My doctor recommended I try Delco and I'm happy I did. This is the third month I have gone to them to fill my prescription and they have to order it as well but they have it ready for me the same day!! The staff is super friendly and don't rush me off the phone like they do at the other pharmacy that starts with a C and ends with an S. Not your commercial pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens) this place is a small Mom and pop shop. They make you feel welcomed and important. The pharmacist is very helpful and patient. Had a problem with having the doctors office calling over the script the pharmacist waited and kept checking to see if he had received it. Finally the pharmacist called the doctors office his self to get the script go vent to him over the phone. read more

I love Delco Pharmacy. I work with people with disabilities as a Medicaid Service Coordinator and refer a lot of my families to Delco because of how great they are! Working in the disabled population it requires a special sensitivity and care and Delco never seizes to amaze me. Their staff is always willing to answer questions and go above and beyond to help sometimes. I never get the sense that they're "too busy right now" or "not sure about that" which is what I always get from CVS or Walgreens. They never tell me "call the insurance company" they always problem solve for me which is a great help and makes my job a lot easier. Keep up the great work Delco!!! read more

My Vet recommended Delco for my Pets medication . They can make meds that are hard to get and at better prices than the animal hospital. ( They are a compound pharmacy). I dealt with Ana , she was great in helping me anyway she can . She was professional and extremely knowledgeable and caring to my needs. I will continue doing business at Delco. read more
