Job started about a month after original intended start date. We kept getting pushed back for various reasons. John is professional but his crew is not. They cut corners and then lied about it. The end result of the job is nice but John needs a new crew that doesn't lie to his face to save their own behinds. Their crew also gave snide comments to my husband while he was checking their work. The price was the lowest of the 3 estimates I got for this job, and there were no unpleasant surprises when I got the bill (which sometimes happens when you hire the firm that gives the lowest estimate). Actually, there were a number or pleasant surprises: our house is 60 years old, and these painters painted or corrected or cleaned up spots no painter in the last 60 years had taken care of. He was able to work us into his schedule on *extremely* short notice and even finished slightly ahead of schedule so that the job was completely finished prior to our move-in day.
