From the time on the phone and when at my house explaining all the entriquete details of the job and materials, I knew he was the one I would hire. I first looked at the reviews and didnt see a single bad one. I know why. I had called others and even on the phone their phone etiquette was atrocious, so I didn't even bother. Being a woman, he never talked down to me, never rushed me, didnt mind explaining things to me again when I asked. He was super courteous and had a welcoming smile. I felt extremely comfortable from the beginning through the end. He completely redid my fro t steps and the concrete of my garage. I would like to see if there is a way to post before and after pics for both jobs because I truly think that can make a difference whem deciding and selecting a mason. Either way, hire Diego. His workers were also as equally nice and worked very hard. They, too, arw to be commended for their work. The prices were also very reasonable. I had other estimate and it was way too high. The wall started to lean slightly within 5 years as it was not built with drainage in mind. This time around, I wanted the retaining wall build the right way. I called Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping to get an estimate because I prefer someone local and was pleased with their online reviews. Carlos arrived as scheduled to write up the estimate. He immediately suggested re-using the blocks since they seemed to be in decent condition and would save money. I met with another company the day prior and was originally planning on getting a 3rd estimate. After getting Carlos' very reasonable estimate and asking a few question regarding timeline, I approved the estimate and was ready to move forward. Just 3 days later, the work started and was finished just 4 days later with a Sunday and a rainy Monday that was a wash out. I was so pleased since this has been on my todo list for the last several years and relieved to have it done correctly. My neighbor was also pleased to get part of his yard back. I highly recommend Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping for any outdoor project. You won't be disappointed. I plan on calling Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping again in a couple of years for driveway and walkway pavers.

Even with the COVID-19 outbreak going on, Angel was able to make an initial visit to survey our property and discuss projects within a day of sending an inquiry, and was professional about maintaining social distancing throughout the discussion. We had a quote in just over a week (even with the busy season just picking up) and were able to get started on the projects after a bout of rainstorms passed. Angel's team worked swiftly and professionally, and did a beautiful job helping us clean up our property. We had several garden beds that had not ever been properly edged and had fallen to disrepair before we moved in last summer, and they now look better than we could've imagined. They were able to clean out weeds and dead/dying plants, move a few plants around to rebalance the garden, trim bushes back, install a butterfly garden, lay new mulch, even out and fill divits in throughout the yard, and install a small fence -- all within 2-3 days of work. As noted, Angel runs a really professional team, and did an amazing job sourcing high quality plants, mulch, and fencing at very reasonable and competitive prices. The work I needed was a bit complicated, because I needed to retrofit a new LED system onto existing wiring, that ran all throughout existing hardscape and had been cut / not visible in many areas. This was no challenge for Todd and his team, however, and they were able to trace all the existing wiring and plan out the new layout. On top of everything, Todd suggested we move the existing transformer to the complete opposite side of my house, where other utilities sit, so that I don't have an eyesore in my driveway. He provided me several options for lighting and everything was installed quickly and professionally. I'm very happy with the finished product and the level of service / communication from Todd and his team. Oh and btw...when a few weeks after install, my kids kicked and broke one of the lights...Todd came out and replaced it free of charge. What a legend!
