This was our first time going, and it was an excellent experience . The teenage staff were all friendly .My family and I played 18 holes of miniature golf on Mother's Day ,May 10, 26th. It was awesome, we really enjoyed the course. They currently have one 18 whole course open and the other one is not open yet .We got to eat ice cream at their snack shop and we got to race go karts and play at the arcade it was a fun filled day, also the second time we raced go karts my 13-year-old son got to drive and I got to be his passenger. So they have single and dual passenger go karts. The bumper boats, water soaker zone and batting cages weren't open, but will hit them later when they are. read more

Needed a place to do an activity to keep my niece and nephew entertained for a good portion of the day. We ended up coming here in hopes of being able to fill the day with activities that varied. However, with it being close to the end of the season we didn't have much variation. Caddie Shack is well known in the area. When I lived in Pittsburgh it was always advertised as a weekend getaway area that would keep you busy. Go carts, mini golf, bumper boats, arcade and small carnival rides. An entertainment oasis during the warmer months near the turnpike, hotel resorts, and camping areas. Showing up this late in the season we knew that we weren't going to get all that much entertainment, but we were fine with that. All they had going were the go carts and mini golf. Even though they weren't completely done with the season. When we pulled into the parking lot it didn't look like it was all that busy. But looks can be deceiving. We first walked towards what is considered the admission area. Basically the arcade, we were met with signs that the building was not open and to head up to the concession stand/mini golf area to buy credits or admission. We utilized the restrooms before heading that way. The weekend we were here we were informed that they had a special going on that was unlimited mini golf. Good deal. We were given a wristband to convey that, allowed to pick our clubs and ball and then select one of the two courses to play on. Before we left we were told that after we finished our games the kids would get a treat bag, being close to Halloween. There are two course here for mini golf. The Highlander and Olde. We were directed to go the way of The Highlander first as it was supposed to have less people. We were directed wrong, but weren't made aware of it as we were already part way through the course. This is where things started to take a turn into 'not-so-fun' area. We hadn't even gotten to the first hole and we had other guests on our tail. We didn't even get to tee up and they were right behind us, making it not all that enjoyable. What complicated this more was that the people in front of us were playing the holes in such a way that it took more time to complete the holes. They each took a turn to completely get the ball in the hole and then when the last person was finished would they finally move onto the next hole. But that's not even the worst part about going this route. We were playing through until there was a bottleneck at one hole. There were three or four groups in front of us and that equated to nothing short of a traffic jam. At least we got to check out our surroundings. What wasn't great was that the residential neighbor was cutting his grass causing dust to fly all over the place. Mind you, when we got here, it appeared that the fire department was just on that property. What is enticing about The Highlander is that it goes through areas where you are supposed to be immersed in the surrounding. Going through a cave, playing past a waterfall, and water flowing throughout the course. The water didn't come on until well after we had finished the course. Mind you, we finished at a snail's pace with the jam of parties. Some of the parties in front of us just upped and left the course because of how slow it was going. Once we finished that course, we did the Olde course and continued playing. The Olde course is the smaller of the two, and a more traditional mini golf course. While we were playing this course they turned on the water. We thought, ok, cool, that is until the smell of rotting leaves and stagnate water hits you. Not to mention if you hit your ball off course into the water and can't retrieve it, you just don't get to play anymore. It was a mess. What makes it even more of a mess is that the two courses need some major maintenance. The bricks used to be the rim around the holes were not completely in place and might even be off completely, aiding in losing your ball. Some holes the green needed mending or complete replacement. Some of the tees, if a whole even had one, were not secure. It was a mess, as I said before. Usually, you buy credits to do things here. According to their website both courses are nine credits. One credit equates to $1. So $9 a course. If we hadn't gotten the deal of unlimited mini golf, I doubt we would have done both courses at $18 per person. Is it worth coming here? I can't say one way or another. Maybe during the height of the season it is livelier here, but it really isn't worth it to do a weekend activity. read more

They need to clean the greens on the mini golf course. There was so much debris and the water fall was not on. Everything needs updated. They need to get an investor to redo the courses and get the water cleaned up and running. Also the bumper boats weren't open. The water was green and full of debris. One of the boats was under repair. I was afraid to ride the go karts. One of the wheels might come off. read more

Drove over an hour to come here, despite the negative reviews. My family had a great time! We did the Grand Prix, the little kid go kart, bumper boats, batting cages, and water balloon catapult fights. No lines on a Saturday, which was awesome! The staff are on their phones any chance they get, but it didn't interfere with our experience. It's located in a beautiful spot, too. The little kid go kart kind of looked lame, but our 7 year old had a blast driving it. My main criticism is that you have to purchase tokens for the batting cages separately. You can't just swipe your card that holds credits. We're looking forward to coming back sometime. read more

The go karts are pretty good, the karts at the Grand Prix started running bad after a while, the mini golf is a different story, all the balls roll to the same spot on almost every hole and the entire area smelled like spoiled trash. I believe it's the sitting water in the waterfall that was shut off for some reason. I don't believe we will be ever going back unless the price will drops for what it's worth it's not worth my time. read more

Went 7/5/2018. Purchased 1 hour bracelets. Outdated. Sad atmosphere. Not everything open or you have to run around to find staff to open the rides. Which you'll find all the teenage staff in the snack shack sitting around on their phones, eating and goofing off and we heard cussing from them while my small kids and I sat nearby. When you disrupt their "fun" asking them to open up a ride they seem annoyed. My kids actually liked the bumper boats...we were pretty much the only people there but after three minutes the guy was like okay times up and made my kids get off and he left without asking if we wanted to go again or do something and he ran back to the snack shack to hang out even though we paid for an hour bracelet my kids should have been able to ride that for an hour if they wanted...since nobody was in line but the staff worker was more worried about getting back to his friends, phone, and food. The arcade was not fun. EXTREMELY expensive (for 20$ you only get 56 tokens that's .35 cents a token not a quarter like you'd expect and most machines took 2 or more tokens) and just a handful of games. The machines give out barely any tickets to make up for it which they double the tickets but it's still not worth it. The girls in the arcade were polite and helpful though compared to the other staff we encountered. My four year old had to pay full price which then you have to pay for an adult to ride with her anyways on bumper boats and karts. Also all the inflatables were deflated which she probably would have liked but still no discount or anything. My 8 year old was completely bored...the rides either too big to ride alone or too small so all he enjoyed was bumper boats and mini golf. The 14 year olds enjoyed the big go karts (which they technically were not supposed to be let on the sign said over 16) and mini golf and that's about it. Paid for an hour which I assumed covered most activities but still had to pay to do batting cages, driving range, and paintball which we passed on because nobody around to let us do those things even if we wanted to. There is an odor throughout the place....smells like stagnant moldy water. And the bathroom by the arcade was completely gross and only other option was port a potties. I would not eat the food, the pretzels look like they've been in the warmer for 3 weeks and it does not look like hygiene is a big priority. I would not go back. We were anxious for our hour to be up. Needs a big makeover...the guy from bar rescue needs to do a Caddy Shak rescue. read more

Our team loved Caddie Shak! We went there as a group to get to know each other better outside of work. The Grand Prix Go-Kart Track was so much fun. The Go-Karts move faster than you would think! Their newer attraction, "Water Wars" was a great time as well! I got hit by a lot of water balloons. We went to the arcade for a while, took on a little bit more water with the bumper boats, and then finished it off with a game of mini golf on the Highlander Course. Before we left we made sure to grab some pizza at the Snack Shak! Our company has already talked about coming back. I highly recommend Caddie Shak to people of all ages. read more

I pass this place regularly when traveling up the mountain. I did some investigating on Facebook to see some reviews and was surprised how negative they were. We decided to try it out anyway as a surprise for our son on his last day of school. The other reviews were a far cry from my experience. The staff was courteous and attentive. Being a bunch of young teenagers, I was happy to see no one on their phones. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. We tried out the Grand Prix, Bumper Boats, and the batting cages. I used an online coupon and for the three of us it was only $20! We will definitely be making another trip here this summer to try out their miniature golf course and maybe a few other things. I have a very happy 6 year old right now, so for me that's a win! read more

Poor service and management. We played three holes of mini golf when it started to thunder and were asked to wait inside--nothing wrong with that. We waited around for about 45 minutes until it started to clear up and asked if we could go back out and they informed us that they decided to close early and no one told us even though we were sitting right in front of them. I asked for a refund and the manager would only offer a rain check. I told him that we lived several hours away and would not be returning anytime soon, to which he responded, "sure you will". Despite telling him about how we waited around unnecessarily while they decided to close early he refused to offer even a partial refund. If a company plans on keeping my money despite the kind of service I experienced, which wasted a large part of our evening, I highly doubt it's worth patronizing. read more

I have driven past Caddie Shak numerous times and thought it looked like a fun place. When the roads to Ohiopyle State Park were closed yesterday, a friend and I decided to take our kids there. Never again. We purchased a three hour wristband for $25.75, a good deal considering using tickets meant paying up to $8 a ride. My seven-year-old tried the go karts for her first ride. The ride had about five male attendants and they stuck her on a car that there had been complaints about earlier in the day. (I listened to a little boy complain about the car because he'd broken down in it, too.) She broke down twice. Instead of taking her off the track, they pushed her back and she could barely make it because the car was so slow. Finally, it just died and someone had to bring her back. Decided to try other rides but they were all closed. We had to look for an attendant. That's how it works at Caddie Shak. YOU have to find an attendant if you want to ride something. Five male attendants were chatting away at the Go Kart ride, paying absolutely no attention to us and acting as though we were intruding when we asked that they open a ride. One of the cars on the smaller kiddie go karts broke down. Several boats broke down on the bumper boats twice. The only reason we stayed and tried to make the most of it was to avoid wasting nearly $26. Finally, we couldn't even use the bathrooms, which were just porta potties anyway - because the path to them was flooded. A nightmare. Save yourself the time, the money, and the frustration. For a few bucks more, you can spend the evening at Kennywood on the Night Rider pass. We certainly won't be back nor we will recommend it to anyone else. read more

We have not been here in years and decided to take our son for the first time. We were highly disappointed with how down hill it had gone. Everything is really outdated and the landscaping is terrible. When we pulled in wr actually thought it was closed because it looked so run down. The place desperately needs cleaned up and needs updates. I do not recommend going here, Statlers is much cleaner. read more

I haven't been here in a couple years, and when we finally went back the place was falling apart, then new owners have done no upkeep, and almost every golf course had tons of bricks missing. Very disappointed with how downhill it has gone. This place use to be wonderful. read more

Absolute horrible customer experience. Apparently I had last years tickets. When arriving with my two kids, they refused to honor tickets. I asked them why was I not advised last year when I purchased 100.00 worth? He simply said "sorry". I even asked if there was anything he could do seeing I had 38 tickets. He again simply said "no" No? Not even here's a few ride tickets to make up for it? NO! Not even a I will meet you half way and give you 19? NO! Nothing! I said I will never come back here. He stated "sorry you feel that way" and walked away. As someone that deals with customers each day, he could have and should done something. It was clear the tickets belonged to the park. It was clear I was not trying to get something for free. I usually do not wish bad on people, but in an area where it is very seasonal, poor customer service will bury you. read more

As I write this I'm going to be generous and give one star when I'd really like to give none. I'm not one to write reviews but I was just so astonished by my experience that I have to say something. I'm hoping that someone will read this and perhaps improvements will be made. When we went today there was garbage just lying on the parking lot and in the children's play area, there was a porta-potty area with a sink and paper towels but no trash can so everyone had put their used paper towels into the sink so as not to toss them on the ground. Staff was listless, unmotivated and unhelpful. One was on her phone while she was supposed to be watching a ride. There was a sign at the food stand that simply said 'sorry, we ran out of all food'. On a holiday weekend, they had no food for the people who came to spend money there aside from a few bags of Sun chips. The boys working the go karts rolled their eyes and looked irritated when they had to go and help a kid who had spun out. The kid at the arcade said sorry, he couldn't make change for us, all he had was a box of twenties. He didn't offer to go and get change or even point us in the direction of where we might find change. All the while sitting and staring at the floor of his booth, he couldn't even be bothered to stand up. When we had managed to get change elsewhere and use some tokens to earn some redemption tickets, I took our stack of over 100 tickets to the booth for a prize and the new attendant (there was a shift change) didn't count them but weighed them and declared I had 35 as she was throwing them into the trash so I couldn't even ask to recount them myself. I went to the snack building to get change on another occasion for the water guns overlooking the bumper boats and was told I probably shouldn't because, sorry, they were out of order. Only three of the bumper boats were running at a time (sorry about that, we were told), the rides didn't seem to be timed and it took us an hour (of the three allotted by our wrist band) just to ride one go kart ride. There were two rides ahead of us when we got into line and by the time we got to ride, it had been an hour. They ran maybe six carts at a time and people stood in line, and left the line because people didn't have that much time to wait. The water wasn't running in the larger golf course, and what was there was swampy. I sat down on the wooden swing outside the food stand and it came apart under me. The go karts for little kids weren't running. Two were broken down and the one was out of gas, an explanation which was offered with yet another 'sorry' and a shrug from the attendant. The Tubs-O-fun ride, which had a metal wheel in the center for turning so the whole tub would spin, was so hot that it was untouchable. The water slides weren't running with water. All we really got today was a whole lot of 'sorry' but didn't get to do much. We planned to spend the bulk of the day there but we just got fed up and left because so many things were just simply out of order or stupidly ridiculous to do (like having to play 20 questions with an arcade attendant just to not get some change) and the staff was barely phoning it in. When a business makes it that hard for me to spend some money I'm going to take the hint that the customer is just not any kind of priority. read more

Not sure why Caddie Shak is getting such bad reviews. It was perfect for our group of adults and kids (ranging in age from 3-15). The younger ones loved the slower choo-choo and airplanes, and the older ones loved the go-karts and mini-golf. Caddie Shak had a very fair "rain policy" just in case, but it didn't rain. It was chilly, we didn't do the water slides or bumper boats. We didn't eat there either, so I can't comment on that. There weren't many other guests, so all in all, we paid $8/hr for our kids to go on rides non-stop. read more
