We ordered (3) medium sized appetizer platters of samosas and chicken tandori; for a party of 35 or so. This supplemented our taco truck, which concluded mid way through the party. Initially they assisted us with some choice items from the menu, due to my guests dietary preferences. We coordinated the menu, fees and delivery all via email. They arrived promptly the day of the party and the food was fresh, flavorful and warm. We kept the items warmed, until the second phase of the party when my guests became hungry again. We served the items and they were DEVOURED within an hour. When I mentioned the type of food we would be serving, my finicky guests turned their noses up UNTIL THEY TASTED EVERYTHING!!!! The samosas were such a hit, many of my guests took home to go bags; depriving me of any leftovers I was so impressed with the quality of food, service and overall genuine kindness of this business. Absolutely wonderful! I've ordered lunch from here twice and love it! The food is fresh, the portions is great, and the it tastes great. Being a busy vegetarian professional in Brentwood doesn't offer me many choices for lunch(and I'm too lazy to make my own lunch haha). I like ordering the Veg special because it's different every day(menu changes weekly), so I get to try new dishes each time and don't have to spend time deciding what I want. My co-worker had ordered from Delhi Rasoi one day and it smelled DELICIOUS! I asked him for the the menu and figured I would order. Found out one of the best things. You order a day in advance because all the meals are made fresh and piping hot when they come to you. Now of course this isn't helpful if you want to order something right away because you forgot your lunch. They've been so kind and accommodating, depending on what you order they might even be able to help you. (You might have to wait a little while longer since like I said previously everything is made to order.) Since everything is made right before you eat it, the food is fresh, taste amazing, is catered to what you want, and doesn't taste like it's been sitting out for hours and hours. My favorite dish is the butter chicken. Hands down the best I've ever had in my entire life. There's so much flavor, and Spice, you won't know what to do with yourself. I got to know about Delhi Rasoi from a family friend. I tried out their food and I was so glad that I did. I've tried a lot of Indian Restaurants around Bay Area and other parts of US, but none could deliver truly refreshing and healthy food like Sanjeev did. It's not like other Indian Restaurants who just add cream to get a rich taste. Their Malai Kofta is so tender that it would melt in your mouth, I always love the Chole Bhature from Delhi and I was able to get the same flavor at Delhi Rasoi. I recently tried their Chicken and Veg Biryani and I cant recollect the last time I had something that authentic. Reminded me of my days in Hyderabad. There were so many ingredients, and I could still taste the mint and saffron separately from other spices and I was surprised how Sanjeev managed to create that magic blend of flavors. One of the best Indian food I had after a long time and best part delivered at my home in San Ramon. We ordered the food for a group of 10 person and The portions were generous and packed well. We ordered butter chicken, Chana Bhatura and Malai kofta along with samosa and everyone in our group enjoyed every dish. They gave salad and papad and chutneys and not even charged for them. Delhi Rasoi is a new concept: home made Indian Food delivery. I'd like to let everyone know that I've ordered from them several times and the food is delicious! There are both vegetarian and meat selections (my family eats meat). Different preparations are offered throughout the week. We love their samosas, the breads are excellent, the tandoori chicken pieces are juicy and succulent. The sauces have amazing layers of spices and taste great. All i can say is WOW! I have tried several indian places fron oakley to walnut creek and this was by far my favorite ever!! Being an Indian girl, I can cook Indian food. However, time is the essence, and Mom's home cooked food always tasted much better than my own! And that's where Delhi Rasoi comes in! I ordered their Veggie Meal, and Samosas on the side. The Veggie meal consisted of: Kadhi Pakora (thick yogurt and garbanzo bean flour soup with vegetable fritters, and spices), Chatpate Mutter (white peas with onion, ginger, tomatos and spices), Jeera Rice (white rice seasoned with cumin), Roti (whole wheat Indian bread). The food was delivered hot and ready to eat. And as Delhi Rasoi's advertising states "Your order, we deliver with a smile" - and that is exactly what Sanjeev did! Ordering was a breeze! I ordered for dinner the same day before 10:30am, and the food was delivered around 6pm (dinner delivery is between 5:30pm and 7:30pm). I did not request a specific delivery time. The doorbell rang, and there was Sanjeev, with our dinner, and a smile! A very humble gentleman who did not take a tip! :) How rare is that? The food was absolutely delicious! I asked for our meals to be prepared mild, and they were perfect -just like my Moms food! The Kadhi Pakora was the perfect thickness, and tangyness - not overly spiced or greasy! The Chatpate Mutter was cooked perfectly - not undercooked, nor overcooked (as the case sometimes with lentils!) The Rotis were soft and perfectly round! And the Samosa and green chutney was a great appetizer. The green chutney was very tasty too. I'm looking forward to trying more of Delhi Rasoi's delicious food! I LOVE indian food and have tried several places all around the bay area, and Sanjeev's indian food was by far the best ive ever had! The spices were amazing in the butter chicken i had, and the rice and bread were incredible. It was warm and fresh and so delicious.
