5 stars: my favorite place for lunch/brunch in the city. 【In Short】 This place is busy for a reason: they have the best pastries in the area, and they serve a small yet diverse lunch menu, but every single option is delicious. You might wait a bit but it is so worth it. 【Atmosphere and Service】 Nice is my hometown and everyone knows this spot for brunch and lunches. It is located in a lovely and very trendy area with a lot of restaurants around. Deli Bo is a pretty small place but you end up with a decent amount of privacy as the table are well separated and the staff is respecting the Covid social distancing rules. We got lucky enough to be served by the owner himself who told us that he used to be a pastry chef as well. Indeed, the dessert are to die for so keep some space for a small tasting. 【Club Sandwich】 This is a classic dish all over the world and I have seen quite a few of them, from disappointing, to over the top. This one is simply excellent, the portion is perfect, and it has all ingredients you could expect from this classic sandwich: some fresh chicken and bacon, eggs, crispy lettuce, tomatoes, and a generous amount of mayonnaise and mustard, all between perfectly toasted white bread. Simply delicious for a quick lunch. 【Sticky Ribs with Asian Slaw】 This was a surprise. In such a short menu, they manage to offer you some bagels, seared tuna, ceasar salad, truffle pasta, and also some sticky ribs. There is literally a choice for every desire. Those ribs were falling off the bone tender, the glaze was incredible and the asian slaw next to it did not need any seasoning from us. A great original dish. Special mention for the dessert, we did not have time for them this time, but I really recommend the lemon tart, it is to die for. WOW! Wandered the neighborhood for Sunday brunch and saw how busy this place was -checked out the menu and took a seat...like I said, wow! Had truffle scrambled eggs that arrived looking more like baby food out of a blender but tasted amazing. Definitely going to try making this at home. See pic! DO NOT SKIP DESSERT! I'm always skeptical when it comes to my sweets but this was perfection! Basically little profiteroles stacked with vanilla bean custard inside. Again, see pic! Found this place through yelp, was looking for a good lunch spot. The salads here are great! lot's of options and pretty large servings. They have nice outdoor seating and most of the staff also speaks english if you can't handle french. They also have very good pastries, very tempting! I was struggling to find a place open early for breakfast on a Monday. I was very pleasantly surprised by Deli Bo. I ordered scones and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was perfect. The scones were beyond perfect. They were served sliced and toasted, with a side of jam and whipped cream. They were undoubtedly the most delicious scones I've ever had, though admittedly, my scone experience is limited. I would definitely return. read more

This cafe is absolutely my favorite on the planet!!!! The quiche is to die for + the desserts are simply divine. My favorite part of the experience was their customer service. They made a complicated catering order for a very high profile client look effortless, with a smile to boot. I absolutely love, love, LOVE the food. I could not recommend this place more. read more

We got the club sandwich, truffle pasta and a latte. The pasta was a little too heavy for lunch but I really enjoyed it. I couldn't finish it, probably enough for two to three people. The club sandwich was just alright, too much mayo in my opinion. read more

Perfect for a Sunday brunch. Except you have to make reservation or else you wait for a really long time. I wouldn't recommend the other days for vegetarians, there's not enough choice. Prices are a little expensive but it's understandable in Nice. Keep in mind they have a slow service in their rush hours. read more

Very cute spot off the beating path. We came here in for brunch and there was plenty of seating. Being obviously tourists, we were greeted in english which was a relief since our french was simply horrible. It was a bit difficult to find since the awning covered up the signage and the building itself had other lettering. We actually passed it a few times before realizing we were already there. The service was not the fastest, but alternatively, the atmosphere seemed very laid back. I wouldn't come here if I was in a hurry. It took maybe 15 minutes to get a server, and after that, another 5 minutes to get coffee and 15 minutes to get our pastries. The other patrons were all quite quiet. There were both young and older people as well as several women with their dogs. One thing in Nice that I love are the incredibly well trained dogs everywhere. The coffee was very meh. I've had better, but the pastries were fantastic. I only wish that i had more of a stomach to try more, but I was only there for brunch. Everything is gorgeous as well. The interior is very modern and the seating and food is very Pinterest/Instagramable. As usual, the prices were a bit pricier, but with a strong dollar and for the quality of food, I think it's well worth it. The only issue is that it's a bit far away from a lot of things. We were staying nearby, so it was just perfect for us, but otherwise, it might not be worth the hike unless you are already exploring the area. Admittedly, the area Deli Bo is in is quite nice. read more

Although the service was on the slow side this is a great place for brunch. So it's a 3.5 rather than 3. The bagels aren't quite bagels, more a bun than a bagel but the fillings are fresh and they are full of flavour. I had the avocat & bacon, he had the cheeseburger. Both generous portions & plenty of frites on the side. They have some decadent sweet stuff too but we were too full to try them out. The Sunday brunch menu looked fab. Shame we're only in Nice Mon-Fri. Next time we'll try the Sunday brunch for sure. read more

Really great place to have brunch and surprisingly cheap for the amount of food we got. I've gone there many times in the afternoon for coffee and cookies, and every time we went to pay (Inside) I always thought they made a mistake. It is very gay-friendly, as it is in the gay area of Nice. My only problem is that, it is very popular and therefore you have to wait a lot for a table. But the wait is worth. Looking for brunch/lunch in Nice? Look no farther. This place is off the tourist track and loved by the locals. On Sunday there was a line waiting for tables, but we were seated within 15 minutes. The menu features lots of salads, sandwiches, and brunchy items. Service is very quick and good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, but on a busy day it may be the first open table you are seated at. I personally enjoyed the chicken caeser salad, made with fried chicken strips. While this was maybe a bit of a heavy salad, there is definitely a good amount of lighter fare on the menu. read more

this review is specially for the pan bagnat - we got take out here twice just for the sandwiches. a pan bagnat is essentially nicois salad but in a sandwich form. we were told it's a Nice speciality, so naturally we had to try it. we got the sandwich for €7 which is pretty reasonable. we brought it home and wow were we impressed. this is a ginormous portion, stuffed generously! it's made fresh daily, stuffed with the ingredients of a nicois salad but MORE. it had: tuna, sardines, cucumbers, tomatoes (the freshest), olives, onions - all in their house dressing. i know it sounds so simple, but you have to try it for yourself. and i cannot emphasize how large this sandwich is. so worth it, we went back a day later for another one! read more
