Coming in to Deli Casa is like walking in to your Casa! Olivia (Chef & Owner) is always welcoming her customers when she isn't cooking or waiting on tables. There are two dining rooms a large patio in the back to accommodate any size of party. I came in today (Thursday) because the special on Thursdays is Cocido. (Lg $14.50) The broth is well flavored and the meat is so tender it falls apart with your spoon. (Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the Cocido.) The rest of the party had menudo (Lg $14.50) which is well flavored and comes with all the condiments. Be sure to ask for homemade corn tortillas! So fresh and fluffy. Deli Casa has been my family's go-to spot for years. Ever since I was a kid I remember getting takeout from here. The staff has always been kind. I just haven't been impressed the past few times I've been. I ordered a shrimp burrito on my most recent visit and it was heavy. The beans overpowered the flavor and the herbs used didn't complement the shrimp. When I imagine a shrimp burrito, I think of something fresh, balanced, and bright. I think of citrus like lime and herbs like cilantro. If you like hearty, heavy, and thick Mexican food, this is the spot for you, but especially when it's hot out, I prefer food that's a little lighter and fresher. Also be aware that they up-charge if you pay with card. Bring cash if you want a slight discount. I don't mind them doing this since I know that cash goes further but in case you're unaware, it's good to know. read more

Wow. Stopped by last week and not a good wow. The owners daughter was our server and she was inattentive . I had an empty drink the whole time I was there. I got a chile verde burrito mojado and it was cold in the middle. Chips and salsa were good but I'd save your money unless you were coming to have a drink lol. read more

Been going here since I was a kid when they made AWESOME sandwiches. Miss them so much. Olivia and crew are always smiling and greeting you with a hug. Love them for the Deli K Burrito-- kind of a "Burrito Supreme) from Taco Bell but WAY better. Smother it and you're in for a nap-maker. Also love their breakfast burritos. A couple of decades ago they bought the building next door and expanded into it. Then a few years ago (I believe) they put in a big 'ol patio and host bands and Karaoke. January 1 I drove from Fresno to Kingsburg to have a nice bowl of Menudo when we arrived. We are greeted with the owner very very lovely woman places decorated very well very good atmosphere. We seated immediately and brought chips and salsa. Their salsa has a unique oregano taste, which I like some people may not like it, but I really enjoy it. I thought the chips also were delicious. My buddy ordered eggs rancheros topped with chili Verde. They had the country potatoes the beans homemade corn tortillas. my Menudo arrived with two big large PATAS, which were over the top. The broth was delicious. I'm not a big harmony eater so I picked up the meat and devoured the bones. The corn tortillas were delicious with it when I come back again, yes is the food solid yes, did I say wow, on the Menudo yes. I would definitely come back again for all people who've had a bad experience in this restaurant or at any other restaurant I suggest you give restaurants at least three tries just like in baseball three strikes in your out don't judge a restaurant on a bad experience the first time there could've been complications at the people had no control over but if you go three times and it's three times bad cross it off your list. Maybe about two months ago, I made a visit here for dinner. I have always wanted to try this place out because I have passed it numerous times while in Kingsburg. Now in case you forgot, my moms owns a Mexican restaurant and I practically grew up in its kitchen, so I am extremely picky with Mexican food. It has to really wow me in order to get my attention or else it's another disappointment in the books. To begin, we were greeted by the waitress and were brought out some goodies (the chips and salsa were decent). I really wanted some fajitas so I ordered the mixed (or trio as they called it). It was super tasty! The chicken was made with breasts which I love, the steak was not all fatty and did not have the nerve chewy junk, but the shrimp is what costed them a perfect rating. They were not cleaned out of the veins and waste. I did my duty and cleaned them out myself which wasn't such a big deal, but still, it's gross. The rice and beans were good as well, but not great. Service was great and prompt. She did not forget anything we asked for and fixed up a little screw up in our order. The prices are pretty good, (average based on local competition). All in all I would definitely pay another visit to Deli Casa and see what else it has to offer! read more

I went to lunch on Tuesday for the first time, very charming restaurant very inviting warm we sat in the in the adjacent room and in front of a window and had a very nice visit. The food was absolutely right on. I had a chile Riano burrito with chili bread that over it was very delightful. Our server was so friendly, so kind. She smiled and was very nice to us. We use to really like it here. But lately not all but most of the food is way over salted and way to hot. We have truly enjoyed Deli Casa through the years. We as customers can always add salt and can spice it up with salsa. I hope you can find a happy medium. read more

I downloaded this app just so I can post a review of this place. Owner is RUDE. Times are tough and going out to eat can be expensive but it's also important to support local businesses. So I ordered a $15 3 item combination plate for me and my two kids and there was also a $10 burrito ordered. We were looked at funny because I didn't have separate orders for my kids. I asked for an extra plate once the food came and she gave me 2 small plates. when we went up to pay the lady says she didn't charge us for the two plates (like she was doing us a favor)....what restaurant charges customers for using a couple extra plates?? We let her know "well we aren't keeping the plates" then she comes back with " I have to pay my dish washer" for the inconvenience of it?!? Good grief! Btw. Funky oregano salsa. gray meat. Not only did I pay $20 for shrimp burrito with avocado (which was an additional $3),which is ridiculous and over priced. The burrito wasn't even folded properly, immediately starting coming apart while trying to take the foil off. And as for taste, there wasn't any, food had no flavor. The girl serving us walked away when we were asking her something, and then came back, and when we asked her again, her manager walked up so she started walking away again! We made a reservation for a large party and they were very accommodating. They reserved an area in a semi-private room and we ordered a couple appetizer platters for the group, which were ready to go when we got there. The service was great, some of the group ordered off of a regular menu and everything was ready quickly, which doesn't always happen with a large group. Only been here 1 time enough for me. Had an enchilada,rice and beans with a chili relleno. The sauce for the enchilada tastes like it was straight from a can. Oh but first you normally can tell a good place by there salsa..OMG I can make better at home terrible taste to it. So we ordered what I said above. Beans were okay, rice I bit in to one it was so hard almost broke my tooth,like I said the only good part was the Chili Relleno they put a basting over it was good but greasy. As far as I am concern will not ever go there again although my husband did like his Chili Verde dinner. I do like the atmosphere there very authentic but not the food sorry. read more
