Chia pudding in airport shop--Feels like Portland...
    Abigail S.

Finding healthier airport food that won't bloat you with lots of salt or sit in your gut like a lead balloon on that upcoming 11 hour flight can be a challenge, but thankfully in the Frankfurt Terminal 1, there is Meyer Frankfurt. In their refrigerated cases, you can find takeaway containers of chia pudding, yogurt and muesli, bottled fruit smoothies, salads, and sandwiches. Food is surprisingly inexpensive for an airport context, but drinks are quite pricey. Note that this place is located BEFORE you go through security, so any liquids purchased must be consumed before your onward journey. Others mentioned the soups, but they didn't look as fresh as the paninis on my visit. A Provencal chicken panini ran me around 6.50 euro and proved to be extremely filling and well-balanced. Another perk to patronizing this place is the reliable. free wi-fi. You are given a code with your purchase receipt, good for a limited duration of surf time (an hour, or 1 1/2 hours???).

This is an excellent venue right across the Lufthansa Senator Lounge to get sandwiches or even whole meals at the other than that very overpriced Frankfurt airport. I was actually surpriced about the very moderate prices here in consideration of the excellent food I received. The only exception are (as always) the drinks - expect to pay big bucks for your sodas. Following some recommendations here I had an excellent lentil soup and a freshly prepared pastrami sandwich. Combine that with an Almdudler (since I was heading to Austria) and I got myself a meal! It seemed like the other guests were also enjoying their choices a lot. A lot of people were opting for the nicely looking salads so that could also be a great choice. Service was very friendly but could be a bit quicker - there were some minor food stains on some of the tables and few leftovers were laying around which was taken care of during my meal. I highly recommend this place for some grub prior to your flight or for layovers especially due to the surprisingly balanced price policy - I think Meyer's in downtown Frankfurt would charge the same so it appears that there aren't any real price mark-ups for the aiport location.

This place is great in this airport. Affordable and good service. Highly recommend. My coffee was knocked over and they replaced it free.

I got a milklatte and vegan yogurt passionfruit parfait which was a refreshing and perfect quick meal that held me over until my flight boarded.

I feel like the menu here was limited, which makes sense for the airport location. I wanted a cool drink and the waiter helped me select the maracuja juice. It was quite sweet and water down. Like concentrated in some sips and water down in the others. The tom kha gai soup was very hot, both in temperature and spice. I should have picked out the red chilies sooner but by the time I realized it, it may have been too late. I picked them out and put them on the plate, but the soup was still quite spicy, even when it cooled off. They were generous with mushrooms so I was fine. The gyoza was nothing special. The yellow curry satisfied a craving for Asian food. It was also filled with mushrooms (and other vegetables). The server was friendly and helpful. It was very hot in the restaurant and the sun coming in through the window didn't help. I think someone asked about it and they said there's nothing they could do. This restaurant does the job if you need something substantial between flights (with some time) as I did.

********* 3.5 Stars *********…read more Stopped for a quick bite while I did some work in the airport. The food was ok - after all it is a German airport and I ordered spring rolls (Vietnamese) and Szechuan beef (Chinese). The service was friendly and fast. As soon as I ordered my food, it was out moments later and it tasted fresh; not pre-cooked. The food had a good flavor, however I could have used a bit more beef in my Szechuan dish and less cashews and bell peppers. (I'm a big meat eater) I've eaten at several restos in Frankfort airport and I can say I would come to this one again. ********* 3.5 Stars ********* Quick pit stop on July 27 2019. Needed to catch flight and grabbed spring rolls and refreshing tea. The server was great! He got my order in ASAP and rushed the kitchen so I could get where I needed to be.

The guys I'm with want to eat breakfast, I'm on New York time so serve me German beer and something easy to eat. I don't want ramen, MoschMosch is more Asian fusion. I order chicken satay with peanut dipping sauce. The chicken was served to me pretty quickly, the service is very good. I liked the peanut sauce that was served with the satay, overall a nice quick meal inside the airport.

It tasted incredibly rubbery and artificial which was quite the letdown, I also noticed that some of the utensils and cups were quite dirty. I attempted to wipe off some kind of stain on my cup, I figured that it just wasn't washed correctly because the stain or piece of food on my cup was smearing or "hard" to get off. The food was bad and the cleanliness of the utensils and plates were below average. The only reason I rate this a 2 star is because of the kind service in which we were given, however I will mot be returning to eat cold meat, rubbery rice, and lukewarm curry. Thanks, but no thanks !

Lemme just say: I was absolutely DELIGHTED to see a' AYCE Hot Pot location…read more I had spent 2 months in Heidelberg, and I was seriously homesick for some good hotpot. This place turned out to be a mere 5 minutes walk from my hostel when my friend and I had stayed a night in Frankfurt. It's super close to the Hauptbahnhof (like, basically in front of it). When I went in, I asked the lady for a table for two at the counter and she instantly handed me the drinks menu. I thought that that was strange, but I ordered a drink for my friend and I and she went on to make the drinks without seating us. Unsure of what to do, I sat us down ourselves, waiting for someone to come over and ask us what kind of soup we wanted for our hotpot. I waited about 10 minutes before finally just asking someone. They were very nice about it (probably partly because I spoke Chinese), but it did take quite a while and there was no real service. Also, the cost of the AYCE is kinda deceitful. It says on the menu that it costs €16 for the AYCE hotpot without soup, and an extra €2 with soup. But what does that even mean?? How can you have hotpot without soup? It's only €2, but it's kinda the principle of the thing. Now about the food: it's pretty epic. There's a spot when you first walk in with dozens of different, authentic hotpot ingredients which you are allowed to take as much as you want (it is an AYCE!). It ranges from seaweed to fatty beef to dumplings to fish tofu and even pig brains. Seriously. Fantastic variety. There's also a station to make sauces with a dozen ingredients laid out for you. Their dessert selection is also great. There's a soft serve machine and really good éclairs. We both got our fill and left. Warning: they only take local banks or cash. Visas are not accepted. TL;DR: food was great. Service was pretty ehhhh. Definitely still worth a visit.

The shrimp paste was awesome and the variety of the buffet was great! Each person has their own little pot which can be filled with a soup of their choice. The buffet also has a little sauce station where you can mix up your own sauce. Staff coming regularly to clean up dirty and empty plates and walking around with a big kettle and asking to refill. The restaurant was filled with mostly Chinese people. That's how you know it's the real deal! Would definitely return again!
