Delia's is my favorite Mexican Food. The food is delicious. Everything I have ever had there is god. The staff is wonderful and friendly.

Talk about authentic! Someone's grandma is in that kitchen making food with love! From the homemade tortilla chips to the best Mexican rice I have ever had you will enjoy it all at some wonderfully affordable prices. A bunch of us Yelpers got together for Taco Tuesday at Delia's in Soddy Daisy. This was not a complimentary event, what I'm reviewing, I purchased. The restaurant is one longish, narrow room with booths lining both sides and then tables in the back. We sat at a long table in the back. Because we had to wait awhile for the rest of our party, we had ample time to munch away on the chips and salsa. The salsa was good, pretty basic. We asked for a few different kinds and they brought us out little tups of a green salsa and an orange-ish salsa. The green salsa was my favorite as it usually is. It had the perfect level of heat. The other salsa was a habanero and while it was tasty, it was a little too spicy for my taste. The tortilla chips were made from flour tortillas, which was a bit unusual, but I liked them. Even though there was plenty to choose from, I stuck with my usual order of chimichangas. I ordered the mixed, steak and chicken. The food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. The beans and rice were good and basic. The chimichanga was crispy and tender. The filling was similar to a fajita - there were nice sized pieces of chicken and steak with tomatoes, onions, and green peppers. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and we are happy to have another dining option in Soddy Daisy. read more

Perfect sister concern of the Delias in Dayton, TN which is the local haunt of many employees around the region. Nice selection of hot sauces and a friendly staff who recognize your needs with impeccable service. Easy on the pocket snd heavy on your waist line. Lack of healthy options will be a small concern for the regulars of this place deeming it a slightly underwhelming 4 stars. They have moved from their previous location to this part. read more

I've been here a couple times. Friendly staff and well priced, but the menu needs help. I'm a vegetarian and the only non meat options on the menu were beans with cheese and rice with cheese. I asked about vegetarian options and was told most dishes could have the meat taken out, but that leaves you with mostly rice and beans with lettuce tomato and sour cream. I then asked if there was a price break if you took the meat out, but she didn't have an answer. She said that was up to the person ringing us up at the end. I like to patronize local businesses, but don't want to do that at the expense of me having an unsatisfactory meal. Having 3-4 vegetarian options with a price is all they need. I don't want to order a meal that I have to have the meat taken off and pay the same price or order something not on the menu and not know what I'm paying till I get to the register. read more

I have always loved their food. I got nachos & we ate off it all day. The guacamole tastes very fresh. The taco salad is delicious as well. I have never had a bad experience here. It cost a little more than I'm used to. But it's fresh authentic Mexican food. You pay more for quality. And you get a lot. read more

These Chips...most time you go to a restaurant because they have a certain dish that is better than anywhere else, or have a drink that you like. This place will win you over with just their tortilla chips . Most places just have a normal tortilla chip, that you can find anywhere. Some places add special spices or a hint of lime to make their chips special. But I promise you, that you have never had anything like these chips, and everything else is just as good. Girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner one night after I had read the reviews online and heard good stuff about the place. It's a small building but there are plenty of places to sit inside. It was busy when we got there, but we were able to quickly find a seat. The menu was good sized and there were a lot of familiar "mexican" dishes on the menu. It took our server awhile to come over and get our order... so long that we had already decided to what to order when he came by to ask us what we wanted to drink. Fortunately, he was able to keep up with us for the rest of the meal. The food was good. I had the fajitas and they came out pretty quickly. Girlfriend seemed to like her meal too. I would definitely recommend this place, but if you're afraid of a wait, don't come on a weekend. read more

Great experience tonight. First time trying this place for a Yelp event. So glad we went. The chips and salsa were homemade. *Fresh flour tortilla chips (my favorite)* The salsa was very mild so I asked for some hot (red) sauce to add to it and it was great!! I ordered the tamal platter and it came with three tamales (I got two pork and one chicken). It came with a side of refried beans and rice. The tamales tasted wonderful (I liked the pork a little more than the chicken)They were covered with lots of melted white cheese. My daughter ordered the grilled chicken and beef chimichanga and it was amazing!! The girls that worked there and waited on us were amazing as well. A lot of food for the price. Food is good, but portions are very small (enchiladas are the size of a medium cigar). I've always been happy with the flavor and usually the service (though the service has steadily gotten worse the last few months) and have eaten at Delia's almost weekly for the past 6 years or so.. But....yesterday I ordered the combination plate which I almost always order. As always, I asked for the enchilada sauce to be on the enchilada and tamal. I have never been charged extra for this mere teaspoon of extra red sauce on the tamale. Yesterday, when I went to pay my bill, I was charged a dollar for the extra sauce (which by the way was left off initially and I had to ask again). Yep, a dollar. Doesn't sound like much, but when you figure its a little flour and basically paprika and they make tons of the stuff daily, its ridiculous, or at least that's my take. The young man and young lady at the register were going to argue with me over the dollar when I mentioned the additional cost. Due to the decreased portions, elevated prices, and upcharge for a squirt of pepper juice, I will now be eating somewhere else. I hate to give only three stars but it was just ok. I've seen some excellent reviews and had it in the back of my mind that if I'm ever over in this direction, I had to try out Delia's. Well that opportunity came Saturday. It's a nice little restaurant that I'd definitely give a second chance if I lived in the area. Very friendly operator who I assume was Delia. I applaud them because the menu is very different than what you're normally offered in the area. It took me a while to decide on my entree since there were so many different options that I'm not used to seeing. We all loved the thick cut chips and the salsa was fairly good but could have been a little spicier in my opinion. The entrees were where we were a little disappointed. I ordered a chicken breast with sliced jalepenos on top that was supposed to be very spicy. I think the jalepenos must have been "gringoed" because there was no heat at all. The chicken breast was pretty tough too like it had been cooked too long. Not terrible, just something that I could have easily prepared at home. My wife got the cheese enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. She was warned that they were spicy. These enchilladas would have been great had the cheese on the inside been fully melted. Instead, the cheese was very hard as though it didn't come close to melting like it should have and then quickly cooled down. My wife said they were ok and didn't finish them. I ate one and loved the sauce and spicieness but the cold hard cheese was certainly a turnoff. Again, if I lived around there, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more

This restaurant absolutely bangs. So dang good. Chips are the best I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. It's a little hole in the wall but it is just so good. I can't put into words in a Yelp post how good the food is but imma try. Did I mention most menu items are less than $10? What a freaking deal bro. Also the people that work there are total homeboys. The teenage guy that works there knows me when I walk in and always daps me up before hitting me with the chips and salsa. I always end up with leftovers because me and the boys always mow through about 500 linear feet of chips and about 316 cubic feet of salsa before our meal gets to the table. The family that owns it makes you feel like family. The food is impeccable. The prices are more than fair. The WiFi is actually really decent too in case you need to stream some college football and make sure your sports betting is still going okay. Cannot say enough good things about this place honestly. Best lunch choice we've made so far! We're vacationing in Soddy-Daisy for the week, and found this restaurant on Yelp. The chips are fantastic. The salsa is salsa. I was served the best steak chimichanga of my life. I ate every chip and finished my whole meal. I do wish they served margs or beer, but the horchata was a yummy substitute. I have now found my go to eatery after climbing at Stone Fort Little Rock City just up the hill. read more
