So at this point, I asked her what is the cancellation policy if I canceled today day of appointment and she said $100 so I'm hoping to get $100 credit on my account because that's not fair for them to be able to do this for the third time This office was great at one time but now all I hear are excuses and people not knowing what they are doing getting multiple phone calls in one day to change an appointment. Keep an appointment. I'm pretty sure the doctor went away and he just called out sick today. UPDATE: they discontinued service with me because I told the truth about their service. Seems as though they cannot deal with brutal honesty. I was able to do all the paperwork conveniently online before my appointment. Her approach to dentistry was a very refreshing outlook where she looked for the why & ways to prevent issues and approached dentistry with the whole body view in a holistic way. She explained everything in an extremely easy way to understand and digest. She was understanding of my concerns and what my goals were for my teeth. Her "comfort menu" offered at the beginning of the appointment was helpful in creating a relaxing environment (I've never seen this before). The overall office was top notch. They gave a full tour of the office instead of just taking me to my room which was so comforting. She had many alternative methods in her way to approach dentistry including ways of taking X-rays including CBCT. The new initial patient exam was informative & she explained the results in detail and how I can improve my dental, airway & sleep health. She tested my oxygen levels and airway as I was having breathing issues during sleep. Explained next steps in helping me with my airway and sleep. I elected to get Invisalign & the equipment she used (I believe called iTero) was comforting and quick to get instant feedback (no impressions needed). Everything was done right there on the spot and she showed how Invisalign can make my smile the way I want. Dr Artani offered traditional & alternative ways to getting fillings and explained me my options. I will definitely be bringing my kids here as well after Dr Artani explained about HealthyStart which will help my kids with early guided growth and sleeping/open mouth breathing issues. I was recommended to Drs Jacob by a family member, and I couldn't have been happier with the visit. The waiting room is comfortably appointed with amenities, although I didn't get to stay there long, as I was ushered into the procedure room exactly at my appointed time. Dr. Joseph Jacob took the ex rays and pointed out the problem areas that needed addressing right away, and took immediate action when I thought I was just coming in for ex rays, as he found an abscess on a root base on an unsalvageable tooth that needed removing. Now I'm a big guy and resistant to Novocain, but he made sure I was numb and comfortable before working, never rushing and checking in frequently if I winced to see if I needed more Novocain. The procedure was long and complicated, and he took the extra time after the (painless) extraction to remove the infected tissue from the bone, saving the healthy bone matter, then suturing everything to prevent that horrible post-extraction feeling of dry socket. Truly a skilled oral surgeon. His manner all throughout was friendly, professional, and you could tell he knew exactly what needed to be done and had the experience to do it correctly. When in the hands of a healthcare professional it's important to have that level of trust in the competency of the doctor, and Dr Joseph didn't disappoint! My care plan requires future visits, and I'm confident that I'll receive the best care possible from him and his team.

I did a lot of research on dental surgeons in NJ, and we were impressed with his reviews and expertise. Unfortunately, Dr. Erakat's lack of bedside manner and professionalism has deterred my daughter and me from moving forward with the surgery with his practice. Dr. Erakat walked into the room and immediately started to talk about my daughter's dental images. This was our first time at the office, we'd never met him before, and a preschooler would've known to walk in and at least say, "Hi, how are you? I'm Dr. Erakat" then lead into your spiel. So he came in and started talking at us, talking as if my daughter was an adult like I wasn't in the room, and he never checked to see if we had any knowledge about anesthesia or the procedure in general. After he finished talking at us, I looked at him and said, "Hello, nice to meet you," to give him a hint that he was shrewd and rude. Dr. Erakat spent maybe 5 minutes with us in total. He was very short, especially when I informed him that my daughter would be having a deviated septum surgery and asked him if there was a preference to have one of the surgeries before the other and the waiting period between surgeries. I've worked with and have seen an array of doctors, and unfortunately, Dr. Erakat was one of the rudest I've encountered. If the person going to perform surgery on my child can't give her the time and attention she deserves to make her feel comfortable, I don't want them anywhere near her. We will NOT return nor recommend this dental office. I don't know if Dr. Erakat is just really busy or if he didn't want to work with us. Either way, we will find a dentist that greets us, takes the time to explain the procedure, and someone who actually wants to work with us.
