This roadside "diner" has been here at least 25 years (that I know of), but this was my first time stopping in. It's located on the side of a main highway (the BR-101) between 2 state capitols in the Northeast of Brazil (Recife and Joao Pessoa). The name means "delicacies of the farm" in Portuguese.
The restaurant has a little convenience store in the front that sells snacks and drinks; beyond that part, there is the restaurant. At lunch, they have a buffet with hot and cold selections. You you're your plate and choose whatever you'd like and pay by weight. Once you sit down, a waitress will take your drink order.
The food was all very well-presented, hot and fresh. I enjoyed the items I ate and the price was really cheap! The restaurant is clean and the servers are pretty good. There's a parking lot in the front with lots of space and after you're done eating, you're right back on the road to your destination. Overall, it's not a bad choice for a quick bite while traveling. read more
