My husband has been looking for authentic Polish food since we left New Jersey and it's almost impossible to find in Florida. We stumbled upon this place by accident when visiting another business in the same strip mall. We purchased a variety of items, including kielbasa, Polish hotdogs , and Polish pastries they get from a bakery in New York. Everything was absolutely delicious and we will be back frequently. We were disappointed, however when the owner said there was no homemade pierogies and there won't be for a long time because she made too many at Christmas. read more

I am from NE Pennsylvania and so I grew up eating all the ethnic foods that Delicja carries. Their selection is vast and their quality good. I particularly liked the selections of pickled beets and cabbage. They had fried, shredded beets in a jar that are FANTASTIC. Those and some good sauerkraut on a pork sandwich - can't be beat. I was not there when they had fresh pierogies but I got some frozen ones. That will be an interesting test because near my home town there is Petroski's Pierogies which are some of the best I've EVER had. They make them fresh every day and if you go past noon they will be sold out. So these have quite a high mark to meet. I am particularly interested in trying their fresh kielbasa since it is really hard to get it here in the South and I am hoping it is like what I grew up with. Again, it will be hard to match the one made by the butcher in town when I was a kid, Karosheck Kielbasa was legendary. I looked for Gołąbki because that is another childhood favorite, but they did not have it that day. That's OK because it motivated me to make them and I am making a batch this week-end. What I did not know was that the reason we always called them "bind pigeons" was that the Polish word for them comes from the word for pigeon - Gołąb (In my house we called them chalupki, probably from the Czech for "little cottages") and it all refers to how they look sitting in a row in the baking dish cooking If I had one negative comment it would be that the proprietor, or someone, is a smoker and the entire store smells of cigarette smoke. I discovered Delicja by accident when my Mom wanted me to drive her all the way to Palm Coast to shop at a Polish Deli. They have a nice selection of pierogi, fresh and smoked sausage, soups, krakowska, kolacky, really, I could go on and on. Not everything I tried tasted the same as what I'm accustomed to in Chicago Polish stores, but you will find plenty of Polish food that you will enjoy. Had a friend tell me about the place last week and wanted to take a look this morning early (while they still had fresh bread). Great place! I've traveled the world my whole life, lived in 4 different countries for over 13 years and they had some things I have seen! Took a lot of pictures so I could post them and you can zoom in on the products. I picked up some homemade pierogi's, fresh baked loaf of wheat bread, multigrain roll, breakfast role, some marmalade berry donut like things, some frozen pierogi's and pyzy. Love pirogies? I'm not Polish but my husband & I both love pirogies You can get them here freshly made. Yup, they have meat or mushroom & sauerkraut, or potato. I was told you've got to get there early to snag the potato. I picked up the meat and the sauerkraut/ mushroom as well as a mushroom/ sauerkraut croquette & several potato pancakes. I also picked up a variety of home made sweets. Sadly, I don't know the names. I brought them home & my husband and I sampled everything. The sauerkraut/ mushroom pirogies and croquettes were absolutely delicious. The potato pancakes I really enjoyed because I didn't have to make them. My husband said mine are better but I say they are pretty good. My husband also said the meat pirogie was also tasty. As far as the desserts all were very good. None were very sweet & would be wonderful with tea. The store shelves here are packed with all European foods. They have a freeze section as well with frozen pirogies and other items. Definitely check those out place out & meet the friendly, helpful staff that work there & try their delicious homemade delicacies. read more

Really nice selection of grocery and deli items. Kielbasa of course, and other meats and cheeses. There were fresh paczki and delicious warm pierogi too! In the back is a cooler section of premade recognizable delicious polish foods, ready to heat and eat. Friendly shoppers and employees too. I love this market! read more

FRESH YEAST! Red Star Fresh yeast! They have it! You can buy by the brick! There is a language barrier on this word. The Polish grocery store I go to in NYC has the same issue. So what I do at this store is they have a wide selection of different flour, grab a bag of flour with a picture of bread on it, show the clerk and make gesture like of flour blowing up, of mixing and rising. Lots of flour choices and many olde world goodies. Great small store next light after Whole Foods. Bring a small cooler, must stay cold. I vacuum seal it once I get home. read more

We went to this market today because it sounded interesting. It had a wonderful selection of food in every area. We especially liked the kielbasa and salami, as well as the excellent selection of frozen foods and sweets. There was a wide variety of deli meats and even a soft serve ice cream machine!
