So grateful we have a local company that had successfully created this fabulous plant based meat! You can find it at Whole Foods!

We've been loyal HT customers for over 4 years so when we moved to Morrisville, my wife and I seeked out the nearest location. This HT is much like others I've been to. This location is very clean and items are simple to find. The produce is always colorful and fresh, meats are of good quality and the inventory is stocked, for the most part. Being a VIC card member helps us save while also taking advantage of big deals when they present themselves. Is Harris Teeter a little pricier compared to your local Wally World or Tar-jhay? They are if you don't get that VIC savings card or know how to coupon correctly. But...if you strategically plan out a large grocery trip in advance, you'll save more than you would by going to a supercenter. Featured for this review are pics of our Thanksgiving dinner spread at home; all ingredients and items were purchased from this HT location just days before. The only reason for the missing star is that this location is very understaffed. The last 6 times I've gone in...there was a small line waiting for all of the self-checkout kiosks and only one staff-ran register for those with a cart of items. The staff I have encountered, personally, have been cool and friendly, but I feel once they hire 2 or 3 more of them to service the conveyor-belted lanes not being used, this HT location may hit that 5 star status.

We got tuna subs, Very neatly made, bread was fresh, soft and did not fall apart with the fillings and sauces. The store is pretty good too!

Last month I drove…read moreform my house in Myrtle beach to pick up prepared meat from one whole baby goat that I ordered days prior to my arrival. Based on prior experience and having mutual friends with the store owner Idrees I trusted the quality, price, weight and the total cost. When i got home more than70% of the "meat" was big bones with no meat but gristle. I also ordered ground goat meat, half of it was chopped up crunchy gristle. Ground meat had 6 inches plus long pieces of intestines, I shared a picture with Idrees. Clearly instead on getting meat from one baby goat what I paid for I ended up with some meat and mostly bones from multiple goats. More than half the meat is inedible. So 3 hours drive and almost $400 later I got ripped off by someone I trusted as a friend. Very disappointed.

The place is dirty, and has a low sanitation score. Is this even a legitimate business or some kind of cash cleaning / nefarious fund raising entity? I am not trying to be mean, but the place literally smells like raw meat, human sweat, and curry all at the same time.

When I come to Fresh International Market, I don't come to shop, I come to eat. As someone who…read morevalues the bang for your buck, a place that will offer you rice and three sides for less than $12 is always going to make me happy. Okay, I am not going to forget the rest of the store. Fresh International is the closest place to me that does Chinese centric groceries, which is a necessity at times. Sure, H-Mart is closer to me, but some days I just prefer using the soft Chinese tofu instead of the Korean option. Not only that, but they have a better selection of rice and other snacks and treats. There is a seafood counter, butcher, a bakery attached, and the main attraction for me, their hot bar. The hot bar is cafeteria style in which you point to what you want in front of you. There is a blend of traditional Chinese options and some other more Americanized options. They have all different types of meats, including steamed fish, pork, chicken, etc, as well as tofu and vegetable options. The most expensive option is the $10.99 rice and three options, which is already a bargain in this economy. The food itself is solid for the price, and is very fulfilling. I would totally have this every lunch! Attached to the hot bar is the Chinese BBQ section. There, you can get roast pork, duck and other fresh meats. Their roast pork with the crispy skin absolutely rocks. The meat is tender and the skin is crispy and crunchy. My only problem with Fresh International are their hours. Their hot bar closes at 6:30 PM, while the store stays open until 9. I came at 7:00 PM and they were already wrapped up! Bummer! Make sure to come at lunch while the food is hot and fresh!

Fresh International Market's hot bar has solid value, but the overall experience was just okay…read more The biggest positive is the portion size. For $10.99 (three-item plate), you get a very generous amount of food, which is hard to beat. There are also a decent number of meat options to choose from. That said, the selection felt limited for anyone going meat-free, and more importantly, the food itself lacked flavor. The mapo tofu was disappointing, and the bok choy was pretty bland. Others in our group tried the orange chicken, which was described as okay, but nothing anyone would go out of their way for. Overall, it's filling and affordable, but not particularly memorable. Good for quantity, just not quality or standout flavor.
