Not to be confused with Hairy Teeter, which is what it was called before body shavers and waxing and LHR became commonplace. This Harris Teeter in Morrisville is where I hung out for a while on a very cold night just before Thanksgiving. It's a good store with decent service and outlets, and wifi near the door which helped me out a lot. It's a little cold where the outlets and chairs are, at night, but it suffices. Oh and this is where I bought my baby oil. You know, the baby oil. That you keep seeing on me. That is in one of my profile pix. If you know what I mean.

I'm a huge fan of the Harris Teeter brand. They do a great job of maintaining bright and airy supermarkets that are easy to shop, well stocked, polite and helpful associates, great selection and reasonable prices on most items. Sure, you'll save a bunch by going to the Big Box, but the shopping experience here is much better. Deli, seafood, grocery, pharmacy, produce, frozen, all in great shape. I was able to pick up a couple of things to bring back to the hotel room with no trouble. The self-checkout system works well for a few items, too. Nice, large parking lot with mostly empty cart corrals.

MOLDY BREAD. Just purchased this yesterday. Horrible.

I have been plagued multiple times by gross, moldy bread at this location. Yesterday I bought $2.00 HALF loaf bread. Today I went to make my first sandwich and it was covered in mold. This is the 3rd time that this has happened; you would think I would learn and just quit my bread buying habit, cold turkey, with this horrible location. They need to learn how to make fresh bread . I would love my $2 back. Anyway, please don't buy bread here. I've only had bad bread experiences. Also it is way too overpriced. If you are in the market for fresh bread, please go to food lion down the street. Also some of the deli workers are super nice, but there are the occasional deli workers that really seem like they hate being there. I don't want to feel bad about getting some good boar's head meat.

The only reason why I haven't given five stars is because it is a little more expensive than many other grocery stores. It's a sneaky kind of expensive - sometimes the bill is fifty dollars (today) when you've got four items in your cart. I do have this to speak of: I ordered the full thanksgiving dinner from Harris Teeter (affectionately: Harry TeeTee) and everyone loved the food and believed I did a kick butt job with the turkey but it was Harry TeeTee and not me. They all said it was the best (precooked unbeknownst to them) turkey they'd ever had. I had time to make fancy Pinterest snowmen to laze in their coffees and fancy mulled wine (vin chaud) while Harris TeeTee took nearly all the stress away. Instead of fretting in the weeks before the dinner (my first Thanksgiving ever with extended family) I sent my guests silly jokes and planned ways to make them smile - we had a gingerbread making party after dinner and played games. It was a special day and a lot of it was due to Harris TeeTee - $50 for a stressless and happy holiday - I will do it again for absolute sure. I searched through my photos of thanksgiving and couldn't find one of just our food - suffice it to say the turkey was almost polished off and all of us - me included - were enjoying ourselves.

Way too long of lines not enough registers open.

Poor selection of Gluten Free products. Checkout lines are very confusing. Staff not knowledgable about gluten free products.

Based on prior experience and having mutual friends with the store owner Idrees I trusted the quality, price, weight and the total cost. When i got home more than70% of the "meat" was big bones with no meat but gristle. I also ordered ground goat meat, half of it was chopped up crunchy gristle. Ground meat had 6 inches plus long pieces of intestines, I shared a picture with Idrees. Clearly instead on getting meat from one baby goat what I paid for I ended up with some meat and mostly bones from multiple goats. More than half the meat is inedible. So 3 hours drive and almost $400 later I got ripped off by someone I trusted as a friend. Very disappointed.

The place is dirty, and has a low sanitation score. Is this even a legitimate business or some kind of cash cleaning / nefarious fund raising entity? I am not trying to be mean, but the place literally smells like raw meat, human sweat, and curry all at the same time.

As someone who…read morevalues the bang for your buck, a place that will offer you rice and three sides for less than $12 is always going to make me happy. Okay, I am not going to forget the rest of the store. Fresh International is the closest place to me that does Chinese centric groceries, which is a necessity at times. Sure, H-Mart is closer to me, but some days I just prefer using the soft Chinese tofu instead of the Korean option. Not only that, but they have a better selection of rice and other snacks and treats. There is a seafood counter, butcher, a bakery attached, and the main attraction for me, their hot bar. The hot bar is cafeteria style in which you point to what you want in front of you. There is a blend of traditional Chinese options and some other more Americanized options. They have all different types of meats, including steamed fish, pork, chicken, etc, as well as tofu and vegetable options. The most expensive option is the $10.99 rice and three options, which is already a bargain in this economy. The food itself is solid for the price, and is very fulfilling. I would totally have this every lunch! Attached to the hot bar is the Chinese BBQ section. There, you can get roast pork, duck and other fresh meats. Their roast pork with the crispy skin absolutely rocks. The meat is tender and the skin is crispy and crunchy. My only problem with Fresh International are their hours. Their hot bar closes at 6:30 PM, while the store stays open until 9. I came at 7:00 PM and they were already wrapped up! Bummer! Make sure to come at lunch while the food is hot and fresh!

Fresh International Market's hot bar has solid value, but the overall experience was just okay…read more The biggest positive is the portion size. For $10.99 (three-item plate), you get a very generous amount of food, which is hard to beat. There are also a decent number of meat options to choose from. That said, the selection felt limited for anyone going meat-free, and more importantly, the food itself lacked flavor. The mapo tofu was disappointing, and the bok choy was pretty bland. Others in our group tried the orange chicken, which was described as okay, but nothing anyone would go out of their way for. Overall, it's filling and affordable, but not particularly memorable. Good for quantity, just not quality or standout flavor.
