We were blown away at how friendly and considerate the team was here! We were running late and they held the ride for us. What a trip around the Dells it was and Treighton gave us an entertaining narration of what we were sightseeing!!

Amazing, I really appreciate Ava, might be the best instructor, driver, and comedian, and I'm saying "might" since I haven't seen any other drivers.

This is my first time in a long time on one of these historic vehicles. They have an ample parking lot, which is free, for you to park and when you first arrive, you either buy your tickets or pick up your tickets that you purchased on-line at the ticket booth. They have a little tiki bar with bar seating and tables and chairs that is located right outside of the souvenir shop and zipline equipment shed that offers tropical frozen drinks and kid's slushies in souvenir cups. You can hang out there before or after your tour. I hung out there before I got in the line for the duck. This is their most flexible ride when it comes to scheduling. They had one leaving at least every 30 minutes when I was there. The ride is on a WWII ear amphibious duck vessel. The tour lasts about 30 minutes or so. Our tour guide, Audra, was very informative, friendly and had an awesome sense of humor. You could tell that this was not her first rodeo. You get a little bit of a history lesson during the tour and go from land to water, to land, to water, and end up on land thankfully. To be more specific they take you across one of the rivers on their property on a road, into a larger river, past a beach, under a bridge, and back on land where you then return to base. The seats are a bit cramped, worse than an old school bus. Even though you are in and out of the water, you should not get wet. I must admit that even with the awesome entertainment and wit provided by Audra, it was not a very exciting excursion and I found it kind of boring near the end. When you get off of your duck, they will offer to sell you some photos that they took of you against a green screen before you got in line to start your tour. There is no pressure to buy the pictures and you can just leave. I would suggest having some cash available to tip your guide if you so choose. The guide/driver also sells post cards and duck whistles at the end of the tour that kind of doubles as a tip, as well. All-in all, something neat, unique and different to do. This company is top notch and offers bundles with some of their other attractions including zip lining, jet boat, and ropes course. Even though I found it a bit sleepy, my little and I have another memory that will last us a life time.

This place was great. The duck tour surprised us with how great it was. The guide was funny and informative, and the sights were beautiful. My son and I did the ropes course. It was fun and challenging. You get two hours but we were smoked after an hour.

Great opportunity to tour the Dells, Lake Delton, and Wisconsin river in a unique vehicle. The abililty to take great landscape and nature photos is worth the price of the tour alone. The guide on my tour was very knowledgeable and hilarious -- as well as helpful with answering questions and helping with pictures.

$4 - and totally worth it!

But if you purchase them online you can get $6 off each adult ticket. The price is the same for the lower and upper dells tours. The lower dells tour seems to depart more frequently. The upper dells tour is a little longer. Parking was plentiful for the Lower Dells. There's bench while waiting for the next tour. Be prepared to be soaked. They don't sell ponchos. You will be drenched from the power stops. The spin outs are fun but not as wet. Literally every seat will be wet. No life jackets for adults but children are seated towards the center of rows and do get life jackets. Our tour guide Nate was great. He was very knowledgeable about the scenery. The rock formations are very pretty. Your tour guide gets very close to the rocks. One guy in the front row reached out and was able to touch it. It's a great activity to get a break from the heat. But you should have a change of clothes ready, a towel, a swimsuit on, or be prepared to go back to your hotel for a shower afterwards. It was well worth the ~$30 for the tour. We liked it so much we considered going on the upper dells tour the next day but the timing didn't work out since those tours are more limited.

The boat ride itself was very enjoyable, and the captain, narrator, and his wife were all knowledgeable, entertaining, and made the trip fun from start to finish. Witch's Gulch was absolutely beautiful. The towering rock formations, lush vegetation, and narrow walkways made it one of the highlights of our trip. My only wish is that I could have experienced it with fewer people, as the crowds took away a bit of the peaceful atmosphere. The biggest drawback for me was how commercialized the experience felt. After walking through this stunning natural area, you arrive at a concession stand and gift shop, which made the experience feel less immersive and, in my opinion, diminished some of the area's natural beauty. I also noticed quite a bit of trash floating in the water near where the boats dock, which was disappointing to see in such a scenic location. I would have loved to see the tour place more emphasis on the area's natural history and its Native American heritage rather than the commercial aspects of the attraction. Fortunately, the second landing on the tour felt much more natural and less developed, and it was every bit as beautiful. Overall, the scenery alone makes the Upper Dells Boat Tour worth taking. While I wish the experience focused more on preserving the natural character of the area, Witch's Gulch is a remarkable place that I'm glad we had the opportunity to see. We also took a Duck Boat tour as a family while visiting the Wisconsin Dells, and it was a fun experience for both adults and kids. Our driver was friendly, funny, and did a great job keeping everyone entertained throughout the tour. The combination of traveling on both land and water made the experience unique, and our children especially loved the transition from road to river. The narration was enjoyable, with a good mix of local history, interesting facts, and humor that kept the ride engaging from start to finish. There were only a couple of aspects that took away from the experience. Just before returning to the ticket area, the tour paused for a presentation about the history of flooding in the Dells that transitioned into a sales pitch for souvenir booklets and a request for tips. We understand that this likely wasn't the guide's decision, but it felt a little out of place and interrupted the otherwise enjoyable flow of the tour. We also weren't particularly fond of the mandatory photo opportunity before boarding. While it's easy enough to decline purchasing the photo, it did make the beginning of the experience feel a bit more commercialized than we expected. Overall, though, the Duck Boat tour was a fun and memorable family activity. The guide was excellent, the scenery was beautiful, and it's an experience we'd recommend to families visiting the Wisconsin Dells.

We got to see a two-headed snake, so many gators, and the biggest snakes we've ever seen. He had been watching science-related videos, reading books, talking alligators and crocs nonstop. We were planning a mini father son trip and I wasn't sure where to go, when to my surprise I saw that Wis Dells had an alligator place! So we actually headed up there from NW Chicagoland for Alligators first...and boy this did not disappoint. The place was surprisingly very clean and not smelly at all--I had a college roommate who bought an old Used car that had a garter snake in it and he kept it and boy did it smell...so this is no small feat to keep it clean with this many reptiles. It was the first thing we did in Wis Dells and my son was there a good couple of hours (entrance was about $20 for us to visit and then you can buy food to feed -- meat packets were very reasonably priced), and also feed alligators, pythons, snapping turtles, alligator snapping turtles, caimans live mice and/or rats depending what the animals needed that day. Thankfully the owners -- lovely people who have been there nearly 30 years -- feed the live animals we don't have to touch them. I'll admit that left me a little squirmish but my son was in heaven. We were there about 2 hours (most folks I imagine last about 30 mins) and my son was really excited to see the animals -- behind closed glass tanks. They have 14 or so gators in the big tank right as you walk in, have an albino alligator (large one too) in a separate tank behind. Several pythons- including a jumbo yellow scary python and one a little smaller next to it. They have turtles, some smaller snakes, and some toads etc in other cages.... I figured we saw all we could ever see that first 2 hours as it isn't the biggest place, but my son really wanted to go back before we left, so we went back 2 days later and I don't know how we missed it on day 1, but they had a photo opportunity to hold an alligator (its mouth is taped for safety) and that was the thrill of my sons life! He's been telling everyone about that post our visit. Overall it was impressive how clean and not smelly the place is, showing the care the handlers/owners take to these animals. One bit of advice, while they have some very brief blurbs on some (not all) of the animals, I'd recommend adding more complete blurbs in the animals like a traditional zoo would. They also have an opportunity to buy alligators (which presumably is legal in Wisconsin) and that is something I'd never recommend -- Thankfully they aren't cheap so kids likely couldn't do that without a parent being involved:). All in all across 2 visits we were there 3.5 or so hours and my son had the absolute best time of his life. I can't thank them enough and they were super great to him answering his questions, etc (especially since on the second visit they were pretty darn crowded but they gave my so. Extra special treatment :) ). A wonderful experience-- and a reminder of the things we parents do for our kids lol - as Id never be there if it was t for my son, let alone be there twice! We will be back too next time we go to the Dells (I hadn't been to the Dells in over 20 years--first time as an adult, and I hadn't a great time, but this was amongst our biggest highlight of the trip)

When I asked why, they gave a ridiculous excuse, saying they couldn't give us the new ones because we were a group, and they would only give them to solo riders. Despite the illogical reasoning, we took the older ones without causing any issues and started riding. Ten minutes before the end, I was swapping the passenger behind me with another friend. Both of us stopped, and there was a distance of about 4 meters between us. The friend behind me jumped into the water and went to the other WaveRunner. Just at that moment, one of the employees was coming towards me at high speed. Unable to control his speed, he tried to veer to the right to avoid hitting me head-on but ended up colliding with me. The 16-year-old employee said we needed to return to the shore, so we did. He told everyone that I had hit him, even though myself and two friends witnessed the incident. I explained the situation, and two female managers came. Surprisingly, both of them accused me, as if they had witnessed the whole thing. Their only argument was that we shouldn't have been that close. I understood that point, but their employee shouldn't have approached me with such speed and shouldn't have hit me. Despite my efforts to explain, they blamed me unjustly. Then, another employee on the shore, who was more than 200 meters away from the incident, claimed to have seen me hitting the employee. This was an obvious lie and deception. Later, the girl at the reception inside the establishment claimed that I had asked her a question: "What happens in case of an accident?" I asked her to show the footage because I knew I hadn't asked her anything like that, but she said she didn't have the authority to access the cameras. When I got home, I saw that they had charged $1030 to my credit card. This is a robbery, a lie, and a slander. I strongly advise staying away from this place. I will do everything I can to get my money back. The document I signed does mention that I will be liable for any damages to the WaveRunner I rented, but there is no clause stating that their employee can come so close and even collide with me, and I have to pay for their expenses.
