We narrowed it down based on aesthetic and style, then interviewed our top picks. Jasmine stood out from the very first call. Talking to her felt like catching up with someone we'd known for a long time: warm, easy going, zero pretense. We were sold almost immediately. On shoot day, she showed up ready. Small stature, big presence with her camera, belt clip, and a little step stool that ended up being the MVP of the session. She moved us through two hours like a well-organized heist. We hit every great photo spot before the other couples and photographers could get there, shot what felt like 500+ photos, and somehow ended up with clean frames in a building that's constantly crawling with people. She was personable and kind and met with us virtually prior to the ceremony to walk us through specifics, which was so appreciated. During our planning calls, Prasanna was very prepared and flexible, ensuring we fit in as many shoot locations following the ceremony as possible. She was even kind enough to film the ceremony portion for our moms that couldn't be there. We spent the whole day and into the evening together, and it truly felt like having a friend along for the day! She made us feel so comfortable and took extra special care of me to ensure I was able to get to each location safely (I was 14 weeks pregnant). And above all, the pictures absolutely blew us away. Prasanna's creative direction shined - from the shots in the forest with the lighting on my dress to the shots at the top of California St with cars whirring by to the most epic shot of all on the cable car (with mere seconds to jump on and get the shot!) Prasanna brought lanterns as the sun was setting and it really does look like a scene from a movie! Just wow. After discussing the looks I wanted, Jeff shot nearly 150 images during the session. He created a comfortable atmosphere, and we finished on time.
