So super yummy!!! I had strawberry and lime sorbet for my flavors. Excellent decision!! Kids had single scoop cone with cookie dough ice cream and Chocolate brownie mIlkshake. They demolished those in no time. Husband got the Reese's Peanut Milkshake and it looked heavenly!! Too bad lactose is not my friend. My mom also had an Orange Beach Fizz with Lime and Pineapple sorbet. Did I mention how nice the employees are and they worked well as a team to prepare the orders so we didn't have to wait long for one person to make all the items. We miss Del's ice cream so bad! Unfortunately, I gain 10 pounds every time I visit Orange Beach because I have to have some biscotti ice cream from Del's every night. The couple who owns this establishment is also what makes this such a great place. Two very hard-working people who have created a really good atmosphere. Plain vanilla in a waffle cone, that's the kind of person I am. But let me tell you...best I've ever had!! I'm not even a "gotta have ice cream" kind of person, but this place makes it like no one else! My family of 6 had the brownie melt and a variety of shakes. They were demolished, even before the heat could get to them! Every person working was so polite and patient, it was our first time, and they got everything done so fast! The store was roomy enough to sit inside but the picnic tables outside were the perfect place to enjoy the cold ice cream. We ate it so quickly I didn't think to get pictures. read more

I think this is probably my current favorite ice cream shop here around the beach. Lots of different ice cream flavors & happy friendly staff. The line to order can be a crazy long wait in the evening (not sure during the afternoon) but all the workers do an excellent job getting people's orders through quickly & accurately. To the owners of Del's--the young woman working the shop tonight (8/20/22) deserves a bonus and a raise. There were over 20 people in line, and she was working the whole shop alone--scooping ice cream, making shakes/sundaes, and ringing everyone up. She was exceedingly polite to every customer and continued to greet each with a smile. All my friends enjoyed their ice cream and milkshakes and I'm sure i would have also. But unfortunately for me I decided to get a chocolate milkshake and it was awful. So to anyone who goes here do not decide "oh its a dollar less to get a basic chocolate shake instead of a fancy flavor " because you will regret it. I literally threw it away it was so bad. I thought maybe its just me I'm not a huge chocolate person anyways but all my friends tried it and all agreed to throw it away so all in all i spent almost 8 dollars and took like 3 sips.
