Decided to stop in for a late night treat; cute place, nice staff, expensive ice cream. For our family of 4 we spent $40; myself & my daughter upgraded to cones at an additional charge, my husband & son got theirs in cups. I got the Praline Pecan & I will say, it was delicious. Not almost $10 delicious, but it was delicious nonetheless. Not a place I'd go to on the regular but we're on vacation so all our senses go out the window lol. read more

She was rude and huffed and puffed when we came in! We never received our ice cream because she refused to scoop our ice cream repeatedly saying,"We are closed" to us and other customers. BTW: We walked in at 9:40 with the OPEN sign on and the website saying 10 is closing time. read more

Husband and I are down vacationing on the beach and with one of our granddaughters on her way to visit, it was imperative the Papa found the right ice cream place. He did!! He got two scoops of the Carmel Cheesecake Cookie Monster. I believe his exact words were -- I am in love, I could bath in this ice cream. If it's the only ice cream I have to ever eat, I would be a very lucky man. I had a scoop of the coconut chocolate almond. Where I did not have an out of body experience as my husband, it was great. His was pretty tasty too. The two girls behind the counter were not very happy. It wasn't as though they were busy at the time. We were the only ones in line. Who doesn't love local ice cream and some of the best in town was at Sweet cone Alabama. With so many flavors to choose from including a no sugar added flavor of butter pecan. Prices are much more reasonable for locally made ice cream than what you'll find in the busy tourist strips. The place was packed but the line moved fast. So we went into this place and we each got a waffle cone with three scoops yes three scoops. We just really want a lot of ice cream so you know we got the three scoops in the waffle cone when I went to check out. I didn't have my glasses on and I said there's no way that says $32 for two cones. After I got in the car sure enough it was $32 and something for just two waffle cones with three scoops. We won't go here again because we really don't think we should be paying $32 for ice cream was the ice cream good yeah it was good. Was it great no. Arrived at 7:30 PM during spring break, despite the daunting line, we were served within 8 minutes. We are talking Chick-Fil-A level efficiency, impressive. Their ice cream is THAT good btw. Being allergic to chocolate I have found that a lot of ice cream places put a lot of emphasis on chocolate flavors and create non-chocolate flavors out of necessity and therefore lack creativity, not this shop. I paid $15 for what was supposed to be a 2 scoop cookies and cream sundae (must use a little home scooper). My friends and I passed this place repeatedly while staying in Orange Beach for a short period, and we remarked in the cute name every time. We resolved to try it on our last night - great decision. You walk in and notice not only the abundance of ice cream flavors, but also the impressive assortment of chocolates and fudge - not to mention several aisles of candy dispensers where you can make your own goodie bag. It's really quite the setup; we took a few minute to explore/ogle before even making it to the counter to order. The servers were enthusiastic and conversational. The woman immediately informed us that we could try two flavors each - pretty sweet considering most ice cream parlors would be annoyed to offer this service to a larger group, let alone advertise it. I sampled the peanut butter cookie dough and the brownie batter and was super torn between the two. Fortunately, the woman let us know "You can pick two flavors, even if you get a small!" I'm pretty sure I looked at her like she was god, or maybe just my fairy godmother. Anyway, great ice cream, great place. My friends and I were sad to leave Cone Alabama, but who knows - New Orleans is only 3 hours away!! read more

After a fun day of seeing Mermaids with the kids we loaded up in the van and headed back to the condo, we were driving along when we seen this cute little shop with the cutest name Sweet Cone Alabama. When we walked in the pink and white striped walls were adorable and the smell of sugar made our mouths water. 3 of the 4 kids got cotton candy flavored and they couldn't eat it fast enough, my middle boy got Carmel cookie dough peanut butter and I didn't even have a chance to look at his cone before it was devoured. My husband got his favorite butter pecan bc that's what he always gets everywhere and he said it was the best he had ever tasted and for me I got this talk dark and handsome scoop called heavenly hazelnut at first glance it looks like mom just made a fresh batch of brownie fudge batter and put it in a ice cream tub and boy did it not disappoint it was like my tongue was dreaming the sweetest chocolatey dream of its lifetime. If you want ice cream or a mason jar full of sweet candies and chocolates you must stop by this cute little cone paradise. read more

This is my absolute favorite ice cream shop in Baldwin County! My family and I stop here any chance we get! When you walk in you immediately see all the thought and love put into this adorable shoppe, the colors are appealing and welcoming. The ice cream selection here is incredible along with their huge assortments of candies! What really makes our experience every single time though is the kind, happy, and accommodating staff that they have there. The manager, I believe her name is Leigh, has been there just about every time we've gone and we love being served by her and her staff. What a beautiful place, the floors are so beautiful! The store itself is so cutesy pootsy!! So happy I stopped in on my way home to Pensacola! So much candy to choose from! Great idea of jars, if your just unsure what to bring someone while visiting them at the beach, it's a perfect idea! Also salt water taffy, not your everyday taffy either! Also purchased a mix of this, the best! In the glass case some super beautiful chocolates.. and fudge, which I purchased and must say some of the best I've had!! And an extended amount of flavors of ice cream! The owner was working on my visit, I'm old so I forgot his name, but super nice guy! Told me they were opening one here in Pensacola! Went here at 11:59pm after another ice cream shop who closed at midnight shut down there shop early and would not/ could not open back up. So we came to sweet cone and I explained to them my son turned 13 in one minute and we wanted to surprise him!! These girls were beyond sweet and even went over and above for my son!! They gave him his cone with a candle in it and sang happy birthday to him!!! read more

Sooooo good! Many flavors to choose from, cones or cups. The server was friendly and funny! Some might consider it a bit on the pricey side if you brought the family along, but if it's not an everyday thing then it's well worth it. I would definitely go back, and may just do that since I'm here on vacation and won't be back for a long while. The only bad thing is trying to decide which flavor read more

This is probably some of the best ice cream I have ever had in my life.The ice cream I purchased was called Camo Hero. It had peanut butter, graham crackers, and marshmallow. It was so good! Best ice cream around! 32 flavors of ice cream and probably over 100 types of candies from bulk candies, fudge, truffle and everything else imaginable. Great customer service and a super nice ambiance. Also open till midnight so that was awesome as well. Try the Carmel cheesecake cookie monster. read more

The girls were so sweet here and so was the ice cream!!! We did a single scoop on the way back from Pensacola--so good plenty of seating inside and out, a ton of flavors to pick from, reasonably priced, and they are open until 12AM! read more
