Everything went great until his last flight into Avoca, 9:48 am arrival time -- NO ONE in the control tower to land the plane; they were low on fuel, so had to divert to Harrisburg to refuel, and then fly back to Avoca. TWO HOURS late. We picked him up and barely made the service. Return flight was an easier connection: one switch in Chicago O'Hare, with lots of time. Except the 6:15 am Avoca flight out: OVER THREE HOURS delayed, missed his connection in O'Hare, had to get a voucher for an overnight stay to catch a plane to Boise on Monday. Absolutely horrible on the part of Avoca airport; what have they done to their service and staffing?!

Every option from security to rental car just rings and rings (at best), or disconnects (at worst). One of the numbers goes to a fax machine. How are people supposed to find out what they need to know about your airport if the information isn't online AND nobody answers the phone. I mean, nobody? Ugh. I've got to try to get to this airport today and fly out tomorrow. I'm not feeling hopeful about my flying experience if a simple phone call is so hard to answer. If it's not a total poop-show I will gladly come back and revise this review.

We just had the worst experience with Allegiant airlines out of Elmira. The agents at the desk were…read morerude and disrespectful!! Not helpful or accommodating in any way!! Our flight was delayed 4 hours and when we finally went to check our bags they told us we weren't able to and that the flight was closed even though the plane hadn't landed yet!! They told us we could get on the plane but we just couldn't take our luggage. Which obviously makes no sense. We have flown allegiant airline for years this experience is causing us to question our willingness to fly with them again.

Just serving soft drinks, coffee, tea, wine and hard seltzer now. Sure they'll add more eventually. Gates are all together so you can't get lost. Lots of comfortable seating. No annoying background music or tvs blaring. TV screens have closed captioning. Thanks for CNN. Waiting to fly home to JFK. Couldn't be happier. So different from Delta T4 at JFK which is a shit show concerning food and Drink availability and crappy seating with no tables or cup holders. This airport makes you appreciate flying.

Everything about this place is mom-and-pop. Locals running the No Name cafe, chummy staff, cops, TSA staff, etc... Small town folks, Big name city, welcome to ITH. The cafe and vending machines only sell Pepsi products. Gross. The cafe food is decent, I had cheeseburger and fries. I was the only traveler mid-afternoon, so everything was hot and fresh, cooked to order. Other perks: free wifi and the Muzak is top notch. And yes, I'm delayed here long enough to appreciate both of those. On a side note, the self-described "facilities manager" is a loud talker with too much time on his hands. His favorite activity is to mill around chatting up the other employees, from the airline counter staff to the custodian, to the cafe owner, "blah blah BLAH BLAH...." shut the yapper already, damn. I really want to give four stars for convenience, but airplane reliability and on time performance here is poor. I've had two out of three flights delayed, both causing missed connections. I suppose that's an airline issue, but it's on you too ITH. Next time I'll fly to Syracuse and rent a car.

It was a nightmare and everybody we know now knows to check and double check anything done by a travel agence much less never use this one. We filed a complaint with the Atty Generals office and all we got was the "difference" in the the cost of what was scheduled and what we paid. Nothig for extreme agitation or stress we had to go thru.

Got to the airport, was going through security, and had my bag pulled aside. The TSA agents were incredibly pleasant, but they were pulling every. single. bag. aside... my bag got pulled aside for a square compact. Really???? Bag got put through security again... everything was fine... and I went on my merry way... ... then I got a notice that my flight was delayed. Fine. I went and sat in the hallway leading to Gate 6 for the extent of my delay, working away on emails for my office while I waited for my plane. Fortunately, I had enough of a buffer in Detroit to account for the layover, but getting out of Binghamton was my first flight of the day and getting quickly delayed wasn't helpful. Ugh. Parked at the airport from Friday morning until late Sunday. I can't remember what the cost was... around $20, maybe? I have no idea. By the time my flight coming home landed in Binghamton around 11:30pm on Sunday night? I was dazed, tired of Delta delays, and just wanted to be home. TL;DR The people here are pleasant, but the airport is tiny and I was delayed getting out of Binghamton for my connection in Detroit. With minimal options to get back home, I was just praying nothing would happen to my late night flight back to Binghamton from Detroit a couple days later. Ugh.
