Deceitful tactics, false advertising and rude behavior…read more Saw an advertisement for this dealership and got in contact with Robyn about purchasing 2 box trucks. We are from a different state and would need to fly down. Robyn stated they had multiple box trucks available that were similar spec and price that we could fly down and look at before deciding on which 2 to take home. We have been looking for a while and knew what options and specs we needed so we asked her to verify the engine and transmission specs to which she said they had an *Allison 3000 series transmission and a *250-280hp Cummins engine. (Both FALSE statements that we didn't know at the time). We start the paperwork for financing for 2 box trucks and purchase airline tickets to fly down shortly after. The whole time we are in communication with Robyn and she assures us we would have multiple models to look at when we got there and our financing rep was aware of this as well and said we would just need to change the VIN# on the paperwork if we decided on a different model once we got there. Feeling confident we would find 2 trucks we like from multiple models available we packed our bags and flew down to FL. This is where the fun begins... Stack of paperwork on the desk with my company name on it ready to sign waiting for me. Robyn comes out and barely introduces herself and says she's busy in the back office. Cathy starts showing us the trucks which are already not as pictured (they like to send pics of the cleanest and best model they had but sell you a different model when you get there). Missing emblems, dents and scuffs that weren't pictured or disclosed etc. Ask to test drive the trucks and Cathy jumps along for the ride. First truck feels SUPER slow and sluggish, box banging behind us super loud, multiple other smaller issues. Second truck same slow and sluggish acceleration but this one has a shifting issue on top of it. We share our concerns and issues with Cathy on the test drive and every question we ask she says she doesn't know and/or nobody ever asked her these questions. Back to the dealership we ask Robyn once again to verify the hp because the trucks are super slow. She gets on Google and tries to find out how much hp Ford F750s have! She asks the mechanic they have and he isn't much help and says they are all slow and how we aren't buying a race car. I explain to them I don't expect to take off like a Ferrari but the truck is supposed to be able to accelerate somewhat for normal safe operation on the road merging in and out of traffic or going up hills, etc. After back and forth nonsense we ask to test drive other models they had on the lot since we weren't happy with the ones we were shown and they say we cant drive the others as THEY ARE ALL SOLD. At this point we aren't sure what to do and have wasted a lot of time and money on the trip. We decide to take the trucks to a nearby shop we had an appointment for to get the trucks inspected hoping something can be done about the power issue and other issues before purchase. My brother and I take both trucks and head to the shop for inspection without Cathy this time. $1000 later... Engine 199hp (not 250-280 as promised) Transmission 2000 series (not 3000 as promised) Multiple oil leaks underneath One truck needs new transmission We call Robyn and tell her we are bringing one truck back and the other would be done getting inspected tomorrow. She says no need to bring them back because they are your trucks and you're good to hit the road! I haven't signed the paperwork lol I bring both trucks back and get into an argument with the owner Greg who I never met before. He says I need to get the F out of his business and how I wasted his time with these trucks. Not a single apology from any of the staff for wasting my time and money though. I refused both trucks and eventually the police was called on me. Police said they always have issues with them and apologized for my experience. 2k total wasted, long and disappointing flight back. Don't make the same mistake. They are crooks!

I was able to get in immediately. The advisor was very polite. The waiting room was spacious and clean with comfortable chairs, a coffee machine And snack vending machine. Within a reasonable time, my car was serviced. The advisor sat with me and went over all of the items that had been looked at (all of the major ones), which were also listed on a printed sheet along with suggestions on their expected life. The good news was that nothing else needed immediate attention and no one tried to push any extra services on me. I had some questions about delaying some of the suggested repairs and felt that they were answered honestly. My car was also washed and vacuumed for free.! Overall it was a very good experience!

Usually, one of the things I most dread in life, is buying a car... Normally, I would pick a root…read morecanal over dealing with salesman at a dealership... However, I had one of the very best car buying experiences with Larry the owner of Unique Sports And Imports! I live four hours away from Larry's shop, so it started on the phone, and it was wonderful from the beginning. Larry was straightforward with all the details, the photos were accurate and he disclosed absolutely everything about the vehicle. After a couple of conversations, I provided Larry with a deposit to hold the car until my son and I could go down to Sarasota to get it. This was a surprise for my wife's birthday, so everything had to go perfectly, there was no room for error. My son and I turned it in to a father son adventure by taking a train ride down to Tampa and then an Amtrak bus over to Sarasota. Larry's shop was beautiful and the bay in which he kept his fine automobiles was so clean you could eat off the floor. There were a few unexpected issues with the car, that Larry was not aware of himself...but jumped into action and took care of them without having to be asked... Something definitely missing from other dealerships... one of many advantages of dealing with someone who truly cares about the people he is transacting with. A great example would be the drive belt replacement, Larry had instructed his mechanic to replace the drive belt while performing Amir of other replacement and improvements such as replacing the IMS bearings and the clutch assembly. The mechanic had found that the drive belt was in near perfect condition, so he did not replace it, as he felt he was doing Larry favor and saving him money. When Larry did not find the replacement on his invoice, he took the car back and had the belt replaced, because that was an item detailed in the listing, and even though based on where the engine is located, no one would ever know that the belt had not been replaced... That's not how Larry does business, so I have so wonderfully learned. Larry has stayed in touch with us to make sure the car settled in with its new family, and has even taken care of a couple of items that were not noticeable until I had driven at home for 250 miles. I have already told Larry that we will be buying all of our cars from him in the future... Thank you, Larry!
