My husband and I live nearby so we have been here multiple times. There is a playground on the property that my son loves to play on, and the property is beautiful to walk through while you sip. The inside is really nice, but it could use some music for ambiance.. The service is good, wine comes out fast and the lady working there is knowledgeable. I stopped in here with my girlfriend, she had the idea to check out this winery while I was visiting her in Memphis. The place is on a really big property with a small lake on it. My friends and I enjoyed a great day at the Delta Winery! For starters, we were the only ones there, and we had a fabulous time sampling the varies of wine. The Delta Winery is a short drive from Memphis and about 45 minutes from Desoto County. Since we visited during the off-season, there wasn't much for us to do, but I can only imagine the fun that we will have during the spring and summer months. I'm not a big wine drinker, but to my surprise, I enjoyed the White Muscadine and took a bottle back home! read more

We really like to go hang out at this winery when there is live music. The service is very good, and I really like their wine. It's all pretty sweet, but it's also not $100 bottle of wine! This place was really great. The people working here were super nice and waited for us to decide what we wanted. We tried the flight, which like always had some great wines. I was not a fan of all of them, but that is how it goes with any type of wine. It's kind of weird that you get a flight if wine, but they serve it one at a time. Can't imagine that working well when it's busy. There are a lot great views outside as long as it's not too hot. I will be back to try more wines. read more

I've enjoyed Delta Blues since the first opened. I like the spacious tasting room as well as outside patio and area for listening to bands outside when weather permits. Most importantly, I like their wines. I tasted 4 wines yesterday from dry to sweet and was not disappointed. Everything from their Chambourcin and Dr. Ed's Rustic Red to the Bodacious Blackberry and Plum Delicious, they were on point. The staff is friendly and there's vending type snacks. There's also Long Road Cider on tap. The Blues Brothers was good too. It would be nice to see other snacks like cheeses and fruits available. Otherwise, I'd recommend giving them a shot. read more

Such a cute and quaint place! The landscape was simply beautiful and very inviting for an afternoon of wine. There were multiple seating areas (even with porch swings), but space to bring lawn chairs and just enjoy the scenery. Inside was the actual "tasting" area, and you got 4 pours for $6. The wines were all pleasing to the palate, however the server was definitely not knowledgeable about the product. I'm a semi dry, semi sweet person, but I'd prefer dry to sweet, and the server was unable to offer suggestions. I did select 1 wine that I didn't like, and the server didn't offer a replacement or different option.... it was basically, "You picked 4, now deal with it". I'm still giving 4 stars because the environment and overall tasting was conducive to my liking, but I absolutely think they should invest in training the servers. read more

Who knew Tennessee had wineries?! It was an exciting surprise on our visit to Memphis. I recommend stopping here for anyone visiting or local. The tasting was really fun. There was one wine - the Cayuga or the Chardonel - that I had never heard of before. It was really refreshing and definitely my favorite. After the tasting, we each ordered a glass and sat out on the pond there. It was a perfect setting. They must have events there because it was really pretty. read more

The wine is okay; the cider is the real attraction here. Offering both wine and cider makes a great deal of sense in a place that's not really the best wine-growing and Long Road Cider has long been a solid option for the Memphis area. But what surprised me is that the Cider program keeps improving; the barrel-aged ciders on tap at Delta Blues were delicious and at a very good price point. In fact, they were some of the best I think I've ever had. I'd come back just for more of those, with interesting combinations of flavors and mixes with hops and wine, all improved by a bit of time in some barrels. The wine? Pretty sweet from the sips that I had, which shouldn't be a surprise for this area. I'll take an incomplete on that and wait for them to raise their own vines and up their winemaking game a bit more over time. But I'll come back for the cider and the sprawling and impressive-looking grounds (with plenty of seating areas). read more

We went there today. First off, the wine servers have no interest in telling us anything about the wine, the winery's story, even when asked - especially the bearded fellow. We tried 4 of their reds. They were absolutely headache inducing god awful. A heavy nose of leather and tar. The taste was shockingly tart. No our cup of tea. Funniest part, we were ready to bail and asked to pay off the wine tasting. The dude with the beard said he'd rather take the payment after our last tasting so he'd make sure we didn't steal his tasting glasses. Now here is the thing bro, if I wanted to take your glasses, wouldn't I have at any point? But who does that? I wouldn't, because I'm a decent, honest, hardworking human being. I get it. You had a lot of people to serve, but don't be an ass and assume otherwise. Lastly, I wouldn't take your glasses because there is nothing I want to remember your winery for. Your wine is confused. Steer clear of this one fellas. read more

What a lovely place with lovely people. Your GPS may stop you at the exit and you're like now what? Just turn, right, next to the cows and you're run right into it on the left. A beautiful drive way that passes a little pond. Come inside and if you're lucky, there will be a musician playing some tunes. Otherwise you'll have to settle for the delicious assortment of wines offered here. Was given a tour by the owner who told our group a fun story about how he met his lovely wife. He really made our group of 9 feel welcomed and we got a science lesson in wine making. The grounds are pretty, the wine is delicious and the people are nice. Come visit! read more

I almost don't want to rate this place as I feel like it is a nice little hidden spot most Memphians don't know about-BUT I do want them to stay in business so hence my review. My hubby and I went here on a date night during the months where they have free music. It's a cute little spot and was not very crowded for a weekend. We did some tasting before and really enjoyed several of the wines.I am NOT extremely knowledgeable in wine just know that- I just like what I like. They had several crisp, fruity not too sweet options that I thought about buying. The people working were very nice and in no rush. We brought out our food and listened to the band outside while drinking our wine and it was so just peaceful and fun. We will be back. Free music on Friday nights! We've been twice now and really enjoy it, enough to make the 40 minute drive from east Memphis. This winery offers a large tasting room with covered patio and a grassy hill with a stage for musical acts. The vineyard is still growing but it's sure to be beautiful when it's full, especially with a small lake as its back drop. Plenty of gravel parking is available so you don't have to carry your picnic items far. Outside food is welcome but they do have meats and cheeses available for a reasonable price in the tasting room. Tastings are $5 for five samples but this is waived if you wind up purchasing two bottles of wine, since there were two of us and we were purchasing one bottle to drink on site anyway it made sense to get a 2nd to take home. We like sweeter wines so the Cayauga White, Peach, and Red Muscadine are our favorites. Most bottles are around $15 each. The Friday night crowd is a nice mix of couples, groups of friends and families (yes, kids are welcome!) and there's plenty of space to set up your picnic even when there's a large crowd. Music is from 7 to 10 and they take the party inside if there is rain. Overall a nice way to spend the evening and we'll be back again soon. read more

Stopped in on our way from Nashville to Memphis. Vineyard and landscape are top notch. Manager is like Matthew McConaughey meets winemaker. With his background in botany he brings a world of depth and history to the tasting experience. I'm impartial to dry reds so I was all about Sangiovese and Norton. Solid win. read more

Tucked away in a more natural area in Lakeland, this winery boasts a gorgeous ambiance surrounding their spacious winery facility and small amphitheater. The staff here is very friendly, their prices are quite reasonable, and they have different musical acts that come in every Friday night. You're allowed to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages, which makes this a very affordable and fun night out. We had a work party at this winery, and it went pretty well! The wine was delicious and the location was stunning (it was a nice sunny day in September). The folks that work there are really friendly and courteous. Everything was clean (especially the bathrooms!). They apparently have live music there sometimes (outdoor stage) and they have a few tables on the patio where you can sit. A group of my friends went here on a Friday night for our monthly Ladies Night. One of the owners graciously gave us a tour of the winery and we were able to do a wine tasting before it got busy right before the start of the live free music they have on Fridays from 7-10 pm. I really only like a few varieties of wines in general, and here I only liked one of the five wines I tasted, Veranda Peach. I will definitely be buying bottles of that one in the future. The other ladies in our group liked quite a few other types, so I think it is just my taste buds and not a reflection of their wine. They also had two other flavors that will be coming soon on their tasting menu that I look forward trying in the future. The building was brand new and very nice. It had wrap around porches and our group grabbed a table under the porch to sit at and talk and drink the wine we purchased. We were there for a few hours and both the owner that gave us the tour and the gentleman that poured us our wine during our wine tasting came outside and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. I also nice that it is open on a Sunday. I think that makes it one of the or the only place you can buy wine in this area on Sunday. I look forward to attending many other events here in the future and trying their growing varieties of wine. read more

Visited on a Friday for the evening on the yard where they offer music and allow picnicking. This vineyard was so beautiful. It reminded me of some of the vineyards in Virginia. Very green and a beautiful layout on the property. The tasting room was modern and airy. They offered the usual suspects - their wine, wine related gifts and food items like cheese and meats. I did a tasting to help me choose which wine to buy for my visit. The service was very prompt and friendly. I bought two bottles, and then my group and I headed out to the yard. We loved the music and while the place was packed, I never felt like others were on top of me. They welcome children and outside food. I found out that they do not allow pets, but they were nice enough to let my dog and I stay since she was with me. If only they allowed pets, I'd be here every weekend. Hope they change this policy soon! Otherwise, what a surprise to find such a beautiful winery in our area! read more

I have heard great things about Delta Blues Winery, so one weekend my friends and I decided to check it out. The location is beautiful, you don't feel like your are in Memphis! When we got there is was pretty empty. The young man working, Carson, was super polite and helpful. He gave us a tasting of some of their wines. Carson was very knowledgeable and really provided us with great service! They were all delicious. We ended up buying a few bottles, as well as some local cheese, salami and crackers. We stayed for a few hours and by the time we left the place was PACKED and they had live music! Only thing is I wish they had more seating, but you can bring your own chairs too. We spent a long weekend in Memphis and wanted to find a winery near by. Wound up going to Delta Blues Winery. The wine was OK to pretty good, depending on the type, but the people were super nice! It was early afternoon on a Sunday and not busy at all. We talked with the older gentleman and the younger guy for a long time. Got a quick tour of where they ferment the wine and do the bottling.
