I stumbled on this campground when looking at a map. I booked site #14 four months ahead, but once we got there, we noticed a few open spots that eventually turned into "First Come, First Served" sites if it hasn't been reserved online. Site #14 is part of the lower sites, which meant that we were sleeping right next to the McKenzie River. We were grateful for the sounds of the river masking the sounds of the adjacent highway. Our campsite was equipped with a PICNIC TABLE and a FIRE RING. The VAULT TOILETS (no sink), WATER PUMP, and TRASH BINS were nearby. I noticed that they replenished the toilet paper and cleaned the toilets every morning. There were also plenty of trees to hang up a hammock! Overall, we loved our stay! We will definitely be back!

We both work from home so internet is extremely important. We were placed down close to the river because the manager was being considerate and wanted us to have a nice view. However the internet was not the best even with our booster. We were too deep in the woods. However the manager went above and beyond to try d help us. She offered us a spot closer to the office for better reception. Still was not strong enough for what we needed. Not the Rv parks fault. We also had a few shipments coming to the park again even though we had to leave early the mgr went out of her way to assist us. It was not a bad park what so ever and you are close to the river. Great location, friendly people, manager is outstanding! For reference we have a 36'ft class A and we didn't have any issues coming in to the sites. We ended up staying for 3 days.

The room was huge, nicely furnished and stocked with snacks, water and toiletries. The breakfast was seriously amazing. Totally, beyond expectations. We had crustless quiche, fresh strawberries, potatoes, bacon, fresh juice, fresh coffee, Im probably forgetting something else. This was a great location for us, on our way back from Bend, but wanted to still go to the hot springs nearby. Price was reasonable for what we were getting too. We really enjoyed chatting with Sharon and her husband and hearing about the history of the Round House. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend the McKenzie River Round House to anyone needing a little R&R away from home.

Even though a check-in mistake was made (our site was assigned to another family with the same last name) the hosts went above and beyond to make things right. The restrooms were very clean and served the 40+ sites well. The RV park was quiet at night and even though the highway was very near, road noise was minimal. We would come back again.

That's the ranger station at Blue River, not the campground, which is located off U.S. Highway 20 west of Sms isters. There's 49 campsites with varying lengths. We stayed in campsite 22. We had just enough room for our 25-foot travel trailer and GMC Yukon travel trailer. The rest of our site was huge, with wooden steps leading to a picnic table and a fire ring. Out the back window of our trailer we could see Big Lake and towering Mount Washington, one of the gems of Central Oregon. A short trail leads past prolific stands of bear grass and flowers, including mountain lupine, Queen's Cup, mountain meadowsweet and scarlet trumpet. There are numerous vault toilets and faucets offering drinking water. There are also boat ramps. We really enjoyed our time at this campground and highly recommend it.

Washington sits right over Big Lake and boasts gorgeous mountain views with tall green trees surrounding the lake. We actually had a small lake access from our campground and the campground was nice and private from other sites. We reserved online for $24 a night (I highly recommend reserving online to be safe because the campground does fill up) and after splitting the cost with everyone it was dirt cheap! It's very reasonably priced per night. When we came in no one was at the check-in station but we found our name on a post outside the campground. Bathrooms were your standard vault toilets and there was running water but I don't think it was potable. I came mid-summer and the mosquitos were only a little noticeable and not out of control. We didn't have any issues with animals like raccoons or anything and since it was car camping our cars were easily accessible. I wish we could have brought out a kayak but it was still a nice place to swim and enjoy a beautiful summer weekend on the lake. There was a camp across the lake and a few trails we explores. I really liked the terrain and how it changed as you walked further into the mountains. I will definitely be back!

Reading through other reviews (on multiple sites) the owners seem to have a pattern of treating guests inappropriately. We booked the room for a business trip for a customer who was coming to Sweet Home. This was for an out of town guest. I tried to call the Inn two weeks ago to make a direct booking. I left 3 messages and none were returned. I was hoping to give them the direct business. So I booked it through Expedia. Expedia took our Amex card and I received confirmation that the booking was confirmed Several days later, I received a message on Expedia saying that they did not accept American Express at the Inn. I told her to charge it under Expedia. She said she couldn't. That's fine. I asked her for a phone number because I had tried calling the mainline and no one answered. They gave me a personal cell phone number to call. I called the number and talked to the Female owner. She told me they don't accept American Express, but they can if they charge a surcharge. I told her I'd rather not pay the surcharge and she told me I could pay either cash or with a different credit card check in. I didn't hear anything back for a few days and then this morning I received a cancellation. I called their main hotel line again, no answer. So I called the cell phone that they had given me before. This time the Male owner answered. I asked why my reservation has been canceled and he said we have been trying to contact you for another credit card. I told him I talked to his wife a few days before everything was all good then. he said no we need a credit card. OK I was willing to give him a credit card at that moment. He said the credit card has to be in my name, I said yes it is. Then he told me that the room were all booked (which was a lie, they have rooms available online and he also lied to Expedia about this too). Anytime I tried to speak to him. He just talked over me and became very rude. Then he hung up the phone. I've filed a complaint a with Expedia. Unfortunately, because they canceled the reservation I have no photos to share of the conversations. For reading this, Sweet Home is a wonderful place to visit and vacation. Don't let these folks scare you. I'll be booking a new room at the Best Western in Lebanon. We have booked rooms at BW in the past and it has been a pleasant experience. I was hoping to try out the Foster Lake Inn as it's closer and I wanted to support a local business. It's very sad that the owners are not customer service oriented. I would suggest that you hire a manager and pull yourselves out of the business.
