Lots of amazing frolicking through the property garden and forest for the littles. Everything was so tranquil, with the state of the world these days it was soooo much of everything we needed to take a break. I saw some people mentioned outdated cabins in their reviews but I dont get why? Theyre historic and retro design but meticulously maintained and clean. Someone clearly knows a lot about design because it feels like youre staying in an art piece that perfectly compliments the gorgeous forests and river outside. All the staff we ran into was so nice and helpful and they all work really hard to make it a great experience for people to enjoy. Honestly too, the wedding amenities looked AMAZING. If youre going to celebrate your love anywhere in nature, this should be the place. I bought a hat with a freakin Loloma lodge name on it! Who does that?! I did because this place was magical. We sat for hours just talking, drinking wine and watching the river. It's a very peaceful and relaxing spot. The location was OK, but Cabin #3 needs a lot of attention. A couple of the window mechanisms were not working, so if you opened a window, it stayed open. A busted light switch kept us from using the front porch light - so that was a bit hazardous. One of the reasons we rented a cabin with a kitchen was so we could prepare meals there. The kitchen had what can be best described as a minimum of dishes and utensils. There wasn't even a large bowl for making salad. There was no dish soap for cleaning up. There were no extra trash bags so when the trash cans filled up, you were stuck. Guest services were nearly non-existent. We had to ask three times - three different people - for more dish soap. What we got was a bottle with about 1/2 inch of liquid soap in the bottom. Trash bags we had to ask twice for. We had to ask two different folks where to put the trash when we had a full bag. For the price, I expected a lot more knowledgeable and helpful guest services and a much better appointed cabin. There are lots of choices of cabins and resorts in the area, so on our next trip down that way we'll be trying another resort.

The cabins are gorgeous and have lots of exposed woodwork. They're cozy, and were just the right size for a quiet romantic getaway. Ours had a queen downstairs and two twins upstairs, so would work for two couples or a family with kids. Kitchen was good sized and well stocked. There was a propane fireplace which we had running most of the time for ambiance as well as warmth. One of the issues I saw was that the front door needed some weatherstripping. There was about an 1/8" gap and as cold as it was outside the air was blowing right in. Made the space around the door a little chilly. Mattresses were pretty decent, but nothing to write home about. All told, though, it was a lovely little spot to spend a few nights. We'll definitely be back!

Reading through other reviews (on multiple sites) the owners seem to have a pattern of treating guests inappropriately. We booked the room for a business trip for a customer who was coming to Sweet Home. This was for an out of town guest. I tried to call the Inn two weeks ago to make a direct booking. I left 3 messages and none were returned. I was hoping to give them the direct business. So I booked it through Expedia. Expedia took our Amex card and I received confirmation that the booking was confirmed Several days later, I received a message on Expedia saying that they did not accept American Express at the Inn. I told her to charge it under Expedia. She said she couldn't. That's fine. I asked her for a phone number because I had tried calling the mainline and no one answered. They gave me a personal cell phone number to call. I called the number and talked to the Female owner. She told me they don't accept American Express, but they can if they charge a surcharge. I told her I'd rather not pay the surcharge and she told me I could pay either cash or with a different credit card check in. I didn't hear anything back for a few days and then this morning I received a cancellation. I called their main hotel line again, no answer. So I called the cell phone that they had given me before. This time the Male owner answered. I asked why my reservation has been canceled and he said we have been trying to contact you for another credit card. I told him I talked to his wife a few days before everything was all good then. he said no we need a credit card. OK I was willing to give him a credit card at that moment. He said the credit card has to be in my name, I said yes it is. Then he told me that the room were all booked (which was a lie, they have rooms available online and he also lied to Expedia about this too). Anytime I tried to speak to him. He just talked over me and became very rude. Then he hung up the phone. I've filed a complaint a with Expedia. Unfortunately, because they canceled the reservation I have no photos to share of the conversations. For reading this, Sweet Home is a wonderful place to visit and vacation. Don't let these folks scare you. I'll be booking a new room at the Best Western in Lebanon. We have booked rooms at BW in the past and it has been a pleasant experience. I was hoping to try out the Foster Lake Inn as it's closer and I wanted to support a local business. It's very sad that the owners are not customer service oriented. I would suggest that you hire a manager and pull yourselves out of the business.

The owners put together an amazing long weekend for us including a perfect food spread surpassing any of our expectations, amazing bar choices with beautiful drinks and a bartender, a bounce house and games for the kids, a shuttle service for all of us to sightsee, and also helped organize a great river rafting trip for all us adults! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The accommodations were great as well because they were so clean and quaint and fit all of us perfectly! I want to go back already !

The staff was so friendly and the food was phenomenal! With 21 children and adults we had plenty of room for slip in sliding, kick ball, s'mores by the fire and over all good times! During out stay we rented both cabins and one of the trailers on site and were not disappointed. The houses are well appointed with all you need to feel right at home! One of the best parts was how comfortable our bed was. We slept like babies after a full day of activities. The owner, Jeff, has a long background of working in the hospitality industry and has done extensive traveling around the world and his experience certainly shows in the way he accommodates the guests with everything from a very comfy bedroom, a well equipped kitchen and bathroom as well as the books that he created which are full of historic photos and stories as well as maps of the area. Jeff also provides lists of recommend places to visit and listings of local recommended restaurants. If you're looking for a place to rest your weary bones after hiking or a place to just sit on the deck and enjoy the wildlife, I highly recommend Blue Heaven Cabin. The host ruined our trip for our son, if you break a "rule" they will charge you $100.00 then $200.00 for breaking another rule and you have to leave immediately. Host "patrols" on golf cart and will come into your camp to chastise you like a child. Host will make you extremely uncomfortable, and makes you feel like you are being supervised verses being a helpful host. When backing our trailer in we were screamed at and stared at by people who live there and made it very clear we were unwelcome from the beginning. If you want to run a trailer park then run one, but don't open it to the public and nickel and dime families. You have a God complex and act like a knock off mall security guard. Needless to say we won't be back. If you have a family, a dog of any kind or are a part of the LGBTQ this place is not right for you and I hope your vacation does not get ruined if you decide to go. And to the camp host get a life and have the day you deserve.
