My mother is an elderly women and has been going to Vernon Main Pharmacy for years. She feels comfortable and they speak fluently in Spanish. Without hesitation she can call whenever she has any questions or concerns. She can always call them and be treated with care and respect. Just yesterday after visiting her doctor and explaining her symptoms, sadly she was not helped and most of all her symptoms/diagnose were overlooked. Not to mentioned my mother is diabetic. When arriving to the pharmacy she spoke with Laura and she immediately had the pharmacist Stephanie consult and talk to my mother. She listened and ask questions that help narrow what my mother was doing wrong. This pharmacy had the professionalism and empathy to meet my mother's needs. They saved her life and could of unintentionally overdosed herself without knowing with insulin. I'm relief knowing I can rely on caring staff. I came today to pick up my mothers medication and gave me suggestions how to help her too. Thank you so much!! Individual states the ARC staff was made aware of medical conditions prior to entering treatment and medical staff would be on premises during the entire duration of treatment and would have full knowledge of any problems that could arise, whether from withdrawal or complications from anything medically related. After all, this is a treatment center. Individual states, "During my admission, which took place in an office, I couldn't hear much of what the staff members were asking. There were other clients in the office who hung out, speaking loudly. The admissions staff never asked them to leave. My privacy and personal rights were compromised. There was no reason for this to happen. I was puzzled. I came here on my own accord in a desperate time." Individual states there was no blood drawn for routine tests. This is very important before prescribing medications. There was no doctor on premises at any time. The lone doctor assigned ran his practice away from the ARC treatment center 9-5, and was not properly educated in the necessary medical treatment. He showed up for short visits after 5pm, but he didn't visit more than a few clients before leaving, even after other clients said they needed to speak with him. Individual states the staff on premises gave medical advice staff weren't trained nor qualified to give to clients. Individual states medical treatment was denied to clients when asked. ASKING TO GO THE EMERGENCY ROOM WAS DENIED. COMMUNICATING WITH DOCTORS VIA EMAIL OR BY PHONE WAS DENIED. COMMUNICATION TO FAMILY WAS DENIED. If you need treatment, or you are seeking treatment for your loved one, I wish to tell you I know Authentic Recovery Center does not have qualified staff. The staff make decisions they aren't trained nor qualified to make. I highly recommend you don't put your life or your loved one's life in the hands of any center where the patient or client cannot have access to their personal phone. Treatment centers have too much levy. The rate of use and abuse is incredibly high. Do as much research as you can and try to visit if and when possible.
