As someone who avoids any kind of pain, this was interesting to say the least!
We arrived in time and were given overalls, body armor, helmets and our ammo. The main common area is pretty much all outdoors. While we waited we availed of the free tea and coffee (it's not buckingham palace but it'll do!)
Then our organizers have us the safety briefing. It was long but oh so necessary. Then it was game on.
We had been divided into two teams by the organizers and stayed in our teams until the final game. Each game consisted of two parts. Each part was ten minutes. That sounds like it's not very long but trust me...you will be happy to be out of the line of fire after those ten minutes...if you make it!
Each game was played in a different setting which was a really nice aspect to this set up. The forest where the games take place is big and muddy, so there's plenty of room to move around and plenty of props to make things more interesting!
The final game was the Hunger Games which was every man (or woman) for himself (or herself)! That got messy very quickly!
Overall it was a great day and we had a fantastic time. We were fairly confident of our safety at all times and found the organizers fun. I'd definitely go again...once my humungous bruises have healed! read more
