When my 8 year-old daughter needed ortho her pediatric office (Hello Smiles) referred her to Oakley Orthodontics. I heard mix reviews about them so I took to Facebook and asked a Mom's group who they recommended for ortho. Many moms recommended Delta Smiles. I called and they had an opening right away for a consult. They are conveniently have two locations, one in Antioch and one in Brentwood. I'm in Oakley so it's not too far for either one. My daughter's appointment went great. Dr. Louie was very welcoming and thorough with the consult. Everyone that I encountered was professional and kind from Annie at the front desk to Christie who helped take my daughter's X-rays, to Denise who went over financials and Eddie who was gentle and patient while he scanned her teeth for 3D model. For this appointment I was at the Antioch office which was modern and clean and easy to locate. All in all I'm looking forward to my daughter's orthodontic journey with them. read more

I just had an amazing experience with Annie of Delta Smiles. I wanted to find out if I was a good candidate for Invisalign. Their website offers a free virtual consultation so I called and spoke to Annie, who made it so easy. I sent her some photos I took on my phone which she gave to the appropriate doctor for review and she got back to me the next day with the information I asked for and what I would need to do if I wanted to proceed. I had high hopes of getting a good ortho consult and was left in tears questioning if I was even sane, or in the right mind to get braces to begin with. There is always hesitation when you take your child to an orthodontist. Braces is big investment financially and you want to make sure that once you get the braces in that the staff will be there throughout the process. The staff and service is great. However, getting an appointment takes months. You have to work on their schedule, even if they are the ones who need to reschedule. Further, if you pay in installments using their online service, it never updates automatically. I pay on time and get a late notice and fee 16 days later, every month! I have to contact billing to clear it up every single month. They're fine, but I'll probably go somewhere else for my second kid's braces. read more

I have been bringing my son here for treatment for over a year now and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Esterkyn and his staff. Dr. Esterkyn knows what he is doing and does it well. The RDA's are so wonderful and make it a point to get to know us and our family. It is fairly easy to schedule appointments especially if you are flexible to go to either to the Brentwood or Antioch locations, but book early because appointments fill up quickly--especially after school appointments. I always schedule before leaving so that I can minimize absences from school. They provide incentives for the kids to follow their treatment plan, a big plus since there weren't any programs like that when I had my ortho treatment. They did find a feasible payment plan for us, so it is affordable for our family to receive the treatment my son needed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Esterkyn to my friends and family and I plan to bring my other children to him for treatment. read more

They are extremely helpful in making sure all my questions and concerns are explained until I'm completely comfortable and understand the procedures and process from beginning to the end. My boys enjoy their visits to get additional points for their Gamestop card (a pretty cool program they have to keep kids maintain their oral hygiene) Who knew that a kid can actually be excited about going to get his braces tightened?! **PLEASE READ** I had braces with Dr.Esterkyn eight years ago and LOVED my smile. I would always receive compliments on how perfect my smile was. Unfortunately something happened about a year ago when I received a new retainer and my teeth began to shift. I was devastated. I thought I was going to have to pay for braces again and be stuck with them for another two years. I am a recent college graduate and wouldn't be able to afford them. Yet I made the consultation with him to see my options. He explained that he thinks they may have shifted because my jaw grew and/or my tongue thrust. Sadly, I will still have to have braces again for 6 months. However, to my surprise at the end of the consultation he told me he would would do the work free of charge!! Dr.Esterkyn is a person of great integrity. There was a problem and he took the initiative to fix it himself. You just don't find people like this anymore. Dr. Esterkyn and his staff are always respectful and kind to his patients. I do not regret coming here yo have my braces serviced and worked on. They are always accommodating to my needs when I have a poking wire that needs to be fixed. There are two offices and the one I live close to is sometimes closed but will have at least one person there who can help you if there is something that is bothering with your braces (i.e. poking wire). I enjoy coming here as it's never been a bad experience for me.
